Manage your files easily with tags (article)

A file management task never was easy. From the very beginning of modern computer era to nowadays many developers had being trying to make it more user friendly. The conception of “files”, mirrored from the real life to computer interfaces, has shown to be not very convenient in everyday work. Every manager represents the information on your computer as a hierarchy of files and folders. This is OK, unless you need to find something particular in this branchy tree of documents...

Read the rest of article about file management with tags

Notice: Tags4Files is a new step in file management. Not being a manager itself, it simply creates a set of tags associated with every file or folder on your computer. These tags are simple, easy to memorize labels that can be merged into categories then.

Tags4Files updated to version 1.1

We are glad to announce program updating. At March 14 we have released a new Tags4Files version with the following changes and improvements:

Saving and restoring filtering and grouping parameters.

Adding files and folders to the program's library from the Explorer context menu in Windows 7 and Vista.

Method of automatic identification tags for files improved.

Numerous improvements of the program's interface and usability.

Fixed error of display files in virtual folders.

Notice: Tags4Files allows you to associate any tag to any document (just like on the Web) and group them into virtual folders. This allows you to quick-search through the library and find the desired document in a second.
