Takko Mani-Bomb-omb!

Ok so what exactly is a "Takko Mani-Bomb" It's the same concept of a bath fizzy or bath bomb but for your hands! The Mani-Bomb is packed with Vitamin E, it helps strengthen nails and helps peeling nails. It's also really great for your skin! It is also infused with Aloe Vera, to soften skin and help fight bacteria. Inside the Mani-Bomb there is a bit of sugar & shea butter scrub. It's to scrub away dead skin cells, moisturize and soften skin and cuticles. okie dokie! So lets begin...

You are going to need...

A bowl or container large enough you can dip both hands in

A towel or paper towels (regular napkins can get messy)

1. Fill the container half way up with water at your preferred temp, some like it hot some like it cold ;) Then lay the container on a flat surface.

2. Now drop the bomb into the water and dive your hands right in! The bomb will start dissolving and releasing the Vitamin E and Aloe Vera in the water. Let your nails, cuticles, and skin absorb the goodies from the infused water!

3. After the fizzy-fying action stops it will leave behind a bit of sugar, cocoa butter & shea butter scrub. Use it to exfoliate your hands (You can dip your forearms and elbows too and exfoliate away)

4. After you're done scrubbing dip your hands one more time in the infused water and remove all the scrub residue left out.

5. Once you're done your hands may feel a little oily. Don't rinse off! Massage your hands, then use a towel or paper towel to wipe down your hands (forearms & elbows too) Then just let your skin absorb the rest of the nutrients.

Tah-Dah!! You have baby butt soft hands now ^_^ I came up with this because I suffer from winter hands (even in Florida were it barely gets cold and don't let me get started on how bad it gets when I go to NY) Also I'm allergic to most dish detergents, after doing dishes my skin gets red dry and irritated badly. Aaannnddd I have also suffered a bad case of the peelies before =( I had to trim down my nails and massage them with Vitamin E and had to go without polish for a week! ::GASP::

Good Day Lacquer-heads!! I have some new news for you guys that I'm so stoked to share!!

First of all I have two new colors coming out Nov 16th!

This is a very sensual red, that oozes sexiness. It's for those bombshells who turn heads and light up a room walking in. "Va Va Voom" is a deep wine metallic crimson red with linear and scattered holo <3

If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise: what it is, it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You See? Makes sense? Nonsense! "We're All Mad Here" yup we kinda are and it's great! This one is a deep sea blue with orange shimmer and green flakies!

Nextttt it's a new invention of mine called a Takko Mani-Bomb!

So what is it exactly... it's a spa treatment, moisturizer and exfoliator for your hands rolled up in one! If your familiar with bath fizzies or bath bombs this is the same concept but for your hands (arms and elbows included ^_^) Though only white ones are pictured these will come in various colors ^_^ And these will be FREE yup FREE! Who doesn't like free stuff? As a token of my appreciation to you all!! It will be one per customer with purchase starting Nov 16th to the end of the year! Instructions on how to use it will be coming up on the blog next week since they're a little more complicated then reg bath bombs. They are packed with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera and are filled with a Shea Butter Sugar Scrub, also they are fragrance-free so it won't clash with perfumes and lotions ^_^

Feeling Grateful!

So I'm a fairly new indie brand in the scene of this crazy lacquer world. I have been reflecting on my journey so far with you lacquer-heads and I must say I have so much to be grateful for! First of all I have over 100, 100% positive feedback on Etsy! I cried when I saw that!! Then I opened a blog to keep up with you guys and now I have over 2,000 views (^0^) Some more happy tears were shed, lol. And now I have over 60 followers on Twitter ^_^ Ok so those numbers may not seem like a lot compare to other indie brands who have been at this way longer, but to me they were very very very important and meaningful miles stones. And I have all you guys to thank!

Takko Lacquer's intro to the nail polish world didn't start off smoothly, there was bumps on the road, some cyber-bullying and intimidation, and negativity. But my motto "Peace, Love & Polish!" and all you amazing ladies gave me the strength to continue on and continue working hard to give you guys the best product and customer service with the ethics and beliefs I can provide! This journey has also taken me to meet some really amazing bloggers like Rie from Nails and Noms Anneke from Pinpoint Polish and Bridget from Painted Nail just to name a few. All the bloggers I have encountered have been incredibly encouraging, hilarious, amazing, awesome, lacquerlicious, beautiful, comedic, delightful, I can just go on and on....

So starting Nov 16th, I have a free gift with purchase to thank everyone. It's something I worked hard to "invent" and make for you guys, it's just to thank you all! Tomorrow I will post up what it is along with two new colors that will come out this month ^_^ So to you all beautiful people you...

Take a look at what has inspired me to create the 4 new colors coming Oct 19th...

Jimi's Jacket

A deep sapphire blue hybrid creme-jelly with packed with gold shimmer and actual 14k gold flakes. So luxurious, and classy. This color will make you feel like queen of it all. With the texture of actual gold nuggets and the smoothness and shine of sapphires.

Ooh La La!

A sweet amethyst purple with turquoise shimmer flowing thru it and sweet candy like pinkish orange flakies floating about. A funky and dolce polish that can be worn alone or layered over darker colors for a different look. It's a mini party on your nails!

Strangely Delicious

A juicy vibrant orange full with glistening limey green shimmer. Your nails will have a pop of sophisticated with an unpredictable edge and an endless summer. A sweet tart color that will make you pucker up ;)

To Infinity and Beyond

A smokey deep purple that morphs into a peacock green at the flick of your fingers. Dancing thru the polish is a holographic shimmer like little stars scattered across the universe. Such a outer worldly color, very hypnotizing and dark.

Hello Hello Hello Lacquer-heads! ^_^

So I have been mixing, grinding, shake, rattle and rolling for the up coming collection. Hope I don't disappoint you guys! ;) I'm very nervous and excited to show you the new colors! I am hoping to debut them mid Oct, fingers crossed!!! Inspired by luxury and upcoming trends ;)

So restock will be every Friday at 1 p.m. EST If a special occasion pops up or I plan on restocking a different date or time, I will make sure to keep everyone in the loop de loop thru twitter and the blog! It's been hard keeping the store stocked up and I have you guys to thank for that! ^_^

So yes this is the official blog for Takko Lacquer!! ^_^

First I want to thank everyone for all the love and warm welcoming into the Land of the Lacquers & Polishes! It's been an amazing ride so far, and I'm so excited to continue onto this journey with you guys! ^_^ My shop is on Etsy right now under Etsy.com/shop/takkolacquer. So I decided to open this blog to keep in touch with everyone, give updates on whats going on, and hear your voice! I promise not to bombard you guys with too many posts, I know theres many amazing bloggers out there and so much to keep up with already, so I kinda want to keep this blog short, sweet and simple. Ok so now some insiders knowledge behind Takko Lacquer.
So I have always had a ~~slight~~ humon-goid obsession with nail polish. Tee-hee! But I always caught myself daydreaming with colors I couldn't find or feeling guilty buying colors from brands that didn't believe in the same ethics as I did. After lots of research and development I decided to just go for it! Throw myself out there and create my own and share with the world! ^_^

Takko Lacquer is born in the U.S.A.
All the ingredients, pigments, base, bottles, labels, from the boxes and bubble wrap I ship in have been hunted down and made in the U.S.A. I take so much pride in this! (Please don't get me wrong my international customers, I love the world and have been very lucky to have visited many countries in 5 continents and many of my polishes are and will be inspired by different countries. I'm just very excited to share with you guys a little piece of the U.S.A. with each bottle ^_^)

Takko Lacquer is Earth Conscious
So many of the materials I use is eco friendly and recycled! My pigments and shimmers are also all mineral based. Also right now the entire collection is vegan! In the future collections all polishes will continue to be mineral based, I'm hoping to keep them vegan also but this has become the largest challenge of all. So I will make sure to always clearly have it on my listing descriptions when a color is vegan or not. I want everyone to be fully informed on each color ^_^

Takko Lacquer loves Puppies, Kitties, Bunnies, Goats, Birdies, Foxes, Octopuses, Owls, Alligators, Lions, Tigers, Bears, and oh yeah... the entire animal kingdom! ^_^
This is another important point for me, NONE (nada, zip, nothing, zero!) of my polishes or ingredients or anything, is tested on animals! I am a big, BIG, BBIIIGGGG animal lover. I don't want to harm any animals or use anything that harms them, my polishes are cruelty free! Yey!!!

Takko Lacquer is 3-Free!
No Dibutyl Phthalate, Formaldehyde and Toluene!
