So the VMA's was extremely.. normal. I mean everything was cool, and Chelsea Handler was hilarious. I love her. I don't have much to say but I do have some people who I thought looked rather dapper. And some who... didn't.

Now all of my readers know I love me some Rihanna, but her extremely fast approach to release an album is obviously a cry to keep in the spotlight. I understand her motive (which is clearly to outdue Chris Brown, who is blazing the media right now) but, she's going to ruin her career in the process. I would love to talk to their PR people who are probably going crazy. The VMA's are tonight and rumor has it she is supposed to be singing her new single "Only Girl" off of her NEW album entitled "Loud" which drops, November 16th. In my opinion, she needs to just settle down and let that boy get his name back out there. He did nothing to you when you were trying to get yours back out there. You just got back from tour, please just rest.

Reality: I hate to say this, but, her album is not going to do good because it's too soon. It can be a "B-day" (Beyonce's album which was rushed to drop on her birthday) which was so rushed, but it was absolutely great, or an "Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel" (Mariah's album that didn't do so great. It all depends on the PR people. We'll see November 16th. Stay Tuned.

Creativity clearly runs in the Smith and Simmons family. It's two hot teens out here by the name of Willow Smith and Diggy Simmons. Both are clearly about to take over the music scene. Justin Beiber, please step aside. Both released new music in the past week. 15 year old (same age as me) Diggy, who is signed to Atlantic Records, released his sophmore album "Airborne", and 9 year old Willow who actually was just signed to Roc Nation, released her first ever single "Whip my hair" off of her album which will be announced very soon. Her mother and father started her off very young, which is actually a good thing. I just want to know who is her stylist (probably Jada) because she is always on point.

This mixtape definitely shows maturity and improvement as an artist for him. The beats are smooth, and he kills all of the beats. It gives me the feel of an album, actually. Job well done Diggy. Oh and did you forget? Diggy is also a Fashion icon, and has his own line called "Chivalrous Culture"Preview his lookbook and even place orders here . When you hear this song, you wouldn't even think she's just 9 years old. Maturity struck this girl extremely young. When I was 9 I was only worried about playing outside. This girl is going hard in the studio, on the red carpet (with actually her own movies under her belt) and is basically killing the fashion scene with her edgy yet still keeping it young trend. She actually reminds me of an young Rihanna. And to get signed by Jay-z himself? Gotta love this little girl about her business. Jada and Will job well done!

Although I'm not at FNO, I heard it was absolutely crazy, Fashion week is love. I love everything about Fashion week and one day when I'm out of school I will be there. But until then I can get my Mac computer and lay in the bed and gawk at these gorgeous pieces. Let me just give you guys a couple of my favorites so far.

Phillip Lim - I love me some Phillip Lim, so when this show debuted I wasn't suprised to see the extreme detail in all of his clothing, and how he had a unique cohesiveness to his entire line. Phillip always keeps me on my toes with his work. Especially from that captivating mustard color fabric with the detailed part on there. and, DID I SEE SEQUIN? Yah, Phillip 2 thumbs up.

Jason Wu is an regular on the catwalk. He got a little raunchy this time though with his sheer top pieces. Still so gorgeous. One thing I did want to point out how he transforms the women trouser in this collection. He raises the hem slightly and lets them go above waist without looking a Grandma HOT MESS. He pairs them with a very shallow top, and BANG it's done.

*Note* This post will be a very touchy subject and I really hope that no one feels offended and I will try to make it as general as possible

Whilst doing my daily internet browsing, I came across this blog post from a blog I will remain anonymous and she discussed how she became conscious of her weight by the age of 7. She then went on to explain how only women think of this type of stuff, and are self conscious about their weight. Men, don't have a care in the world. Now while this isn't the first time I heard this, this actually is something that really bugs me.

This bugs me because men, too can have anorexia, and men too, have obesity problems where they actually try to starve themselves. I know this because I was/am having this problem.

Now don't get in a bunch because I don't starve myself, I simply watch what I eat.I watch my intakes and conscious of what I eat, simply because I'm not the smallest boy in the world and I'm not the most athletic. I just feel as though I'm really unhappy about my body and I think that when people see me, they just see a fat slob. This is just something personal I feel about myself and it's nothing to fret over because I will never have anorexia or starve myself into a hospital.

My intention of writing this post was to HIGHLIGHT the fact that men sometimes are self conscious about their appearance and I KNOW I will raise some eyebrows and have some people shook because they feel as though I'm calling them out. But I don't care, this is something I feel as though needs to be discussed. The intention was to break the stereotype that men aren't superficial.

My bouts of self esteem arise when I see male models, or the skinny men in Fashion and how everyone is 'sample' size. I get a little envious of how they can just go into a store and get their size with no problems, they don't have to worry about the fit because nothing is to small for them. Their shirts and jeans are perfect. They are the designers dream. But then when a big person comes into the store they take numerous pairs to the fitting room and see which one do they look better in just so they won't have to be embarrased in public as being a 'fat ass' or anything of that nature. Now, let me say first and foremost, I'm one of the most influential people in Cleveland among the Teen Fashion Scene. I can kill something serious with my dressing, however, I have to be 10x as on it, because well big boys can't just throw something on. It takes skill.Skill, that I have acquired by trials of going into stores to be disappointed, to the point where, my primary shopping basis, is right here online. Whenever I think about my move to Atlanta to go to Morehouse, I see how everyone there is skinny and perfect, they can dress and well, they don't have to worry about the calories in a meal. I worry about how I'm going to get there and fall to the side because of my weight.. But once again, I tell you guys, I have the confidence of Kanye, I just sometimes have these bouts of low self esteem and I sometimes just say to myself that I know I'm never going to be perfect to someones standards.

To conclude this post I just want to say this: Just because you're a male doesn't mean that you're supposed to not care about your appearance and it's okay for you to be fat. Women, don't think that men are just beasts who eat and not worry about the consequences, because we do, and we sometimes have issues with our weight as well. We see the male models and celebrities and long for having the 'beach' body. it's not just Women, NOT JUST WOMEN DAMNIT.

I wanna witness love, I've never seen it close.

Okay so let me just say this right now. I have been saying this, since he has began the show, and will continue to say it even when he leaves. TERRENCE J CANNOT DRESS.

Every day the show comes on, this guy has once again something extremely ugly, tacky, and too damn big for him on. Let's not even mention that fact that is just doesn't match. His outfits are clearly a cry for help from his stylist. Who needs to be slapped just as well. There is a certain way a person his size should dress, ESPECIALLY being on TV and you can't really tell proportion-wise. Someone of his size should be wearing an fit jean (Maybe Levi 511's) with a nice fitted shirt and/or blazer. There shouldn't be any type of room because, it will only make him look boxier and his clothes to seem 'borrowed' and well, cheap. Cargo shorts should come to the knee, and his tailored shorts, should be an 12'' hem. Anything lower, will make him look more short, and bigger. You guys are used to seeing him in shit like this..

and let's not forget his 'preppy' look.

But no NO NO NO!! It really makes me mad to see his stylist messing up like this because it then makes me

A) not want to watch the show
B) Go to New York, go back stage, and slap the shit out of his stylist
C) Scream aloud "JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL"

Maybe even all of the above. Now, the question is, where is Rocsi's stylist because Rocsi is always on point. I love her. Everyone always tries to knock her style, but girl always got a bad shoe, and a basic fit, with much needed accesories, which always builds upon an outfit. Terrence wears a watch (G-Shock if you're lucky) and calls it a day. If I had a chance to be his stylist I would so get him together, because I know all of my fellow FASHIONISTO'S and SATORIALISTS are just shaking their heads when they see this foolery pop upon the screen. I just don't understand. It seems like to me, he's trying his hardest to be hip. But instead of trying to conform to the pop teen fashion scene, he should start setting trends and letting these young fellas know that it's okay to raise the hem on your shorts, put on bracelets and necklaces, and actually wear a bowtie and/or fitted blazer and not go out. 106 and Park is one of the main influences on the teenagers of today, and well, whether you want to hear it or not, FASHION is one of the most important factors that is taken from the show when watching. I'm not saying EVERYTHING he wears is bad, because actually sometimes when he's hosting an event and actually puts on a suit, with dress shoes (and not some random ass colored nikes) he looks decent and like he has had some satorial sessions. But, when going to work, he needs to opt for a different look. Maybe for the 2011 I suppose..

Remember when I said she will get your right? Well this sassy song is exactly what she's doing. She told her ex, to stop knocking on her door, calling her, and to cut off any communication, because you had your chance, when she was vulnerable. Karma's on her period. We ALL, male or female, have them, a day when you don't want to talk to anyone. Just need time alone and need to think. This is just a glimpse of what would be my Fashions Night Out list IF I was getting on a freaking plane and going. :/

If you guys aren't familiar with what Fashions Night Out is, it's basically a night where clothing stores across NYC open late at night and you SHOP YOUR ASS OFF. If you're a shopper then, this is like heaven for you. You get drinks, foods, all while you SHOP. Let's not mention the fact that it's sooo many sales!!! It's ridiculous. In addition to shopping, there are auctions held, and ASOS.com the online store is having a block party as well. This is a night where you relish in the moment, and put that little plastic magic card to work. Wanna know the best part? When you spend money, you're helping the business of fashion. So it's shopping with a cause, which is basically everything I'm about. Hence my post on the Fashion against aids campaign with H&M before summer. *SIGH* One day I'll be in NYC, running the town.

It all started with an diss video. Which sky-rocketed its way into social media streams, and sparked controversy everywhere. Her name is Keys. She's from Baltimore and she's out for Nicki Minajs place.

The video debuted, and its extremely graphic lyrics started with her straight DOGGING Nicki. She mimicked her 'barbie' impression, called her music TRASH, even threatened her. No one knows where the hostility came from. They just knew this girl was out for blood.

The media went INSANE, numerous blog posts were made, response videos, etc. And then Nicki responded.

Oh but it gets better, KEYS then responds to her RESPONSE

From there, Keys goes on a complete PR drive, where she joined forces with Lil Kim (who was also beefing with Nicki) and performed with her when Kim came to Baltimore on her tour. Oh, yeah I have that too

She makes her own music....

Now, lets recap everything I'm showing you guys. First, she disses Nicki Minaj, which we ALL know, was her way of getting her name out because no one knew about her until she made that video. (Google her name and Nicki's name pops up) Now the question comes into play, was this PR for HER OR NICKI? Now, when she joins forces with Kim, doesn't that seem fishy since Kim is just as Raunchy as Nicki, had numerous color weaves, and even called herself a barbie back in the day? Keys isn't that kind of going against your whole diss? You call yourself a lady, but I've never met a lady to talk about guns, or being in the parking lot 'clocking a glot'. Honestly her music is a replica of Nickis old music. This woman clearly didn't do her research before she did this, which shows she either A) was eager to get her name out or B) Doesn't have an good manager. Or it could possibly be both. When Nicki responds, she states "They need it" which is exactly what I thought when I seen the sad diss video. I never recalled Nicki's first videos 'dissin' Kim, even now she doesn't do it, when Kim CONSTANTLY throws dirt on her name in the media. This is an act of maturity, in my opinion. Now let's address the fact that when you listen to Keys lyrics, every other lyric is about 'beating a bitch' or shooting up an place. Now really? Let's compare your shallow lyrics to Nicki's. Her whole act is to knock Nicki off, but while she's becoming this youtube sensation, Nicki has went on to make billboard singles (mind you she doesn't have an album out), work with some of the biggest names in the industry (Ross, Diddy, Drake, Gucci, Wayne, Mariah Carey, Trey Songz) and be signed to one of the hottest labels out there Young Money. So, if this Keys was to become famous, I would love to see WHO would sign her because Nicki has extremely close contact with both Young Money and So Icey ENT. whom she previously worked with. These are the two hottest labels out and she obviously won't be getting signed to them. Jay-z doesn't condone that type of lyricism and wouldn't dare in his damn life sign her. The problem is she acted to late. Nicki is a very powerful force in the music industry and wherever she goes she will still be crushed. Keys, sorry but you should definitely just, stop. I'm all for female rappers, but she needs to call it quits. The only other person she could team up with is Trina and, well, she's kind of on Nicki's side. The bottom line comes to this, Keys will never amount to anything but be one of the countless Youtube sensations, and could never amount to Nicki's status (who btw is dropping an album on November 23d called "Pink Friday" because this date is Black Friday). Now I would like to drop this subject and continue to be #TeamMinaj because honestly, this is just ridiculous and we'll be laughing about it years to come. Let this be a warning AHHAHAHHA

Is PR going to be just digital?

Public Relations is the 'popular kids' in society. They tell you what it is you should be reading, watching, eating, wearing, etc.. They put it on the commercials, billboards, stores, newspapers, magazines, and even through word of mouth. But, what if all of that is about to change. What if, the future of PR is doing press releases on their Twitter or posting the videos on their Facebook page? Welcome to the future of Public Relations.

Internet has made an huge impact on alot of things for the past decade, and PR being one of the highest. In an recent article done by Mashable it goes gets some quotes from some MAJOR PR people, and what are their opinons on this extremely huge social takeover.

One of the ones that really hit close to home with me was the quote from, David McCulloch from Cisco Systems.

“In the past couple of years, we’ve seen a marked shift in [the press release's] format to reflect the accelerating societal shift from mass consumption of media (“push” media) to personalized consumption or “pull” media. That’s a shift that has led Cisco to spend less time telling reporters and bloggers what it is we expect them to write, and more time helping them understand how what Cisco is doing might fit with their interests.
“…[I]t’s pretty clear where the press release will go next: It’s going to get shorter; link to more sources; be focused on simplification and explanation; and it’ll come in many more flavors. Practically speaking (assuming the SEC keeps pace with media evolutions), that means the press release of the future will deliver its content in text, video, SMS, microblog and podcast form, to any choice of device, whenever the reader decides, and preferably it will be pre-corroborated and openly rated by multiple trusted sources.”

What this means is that, press releases will be done online,and will be more short because the sources can be given through links instead of reading them verbatim.

Another quote, really made you understand that, PR as a field of work is not going to change

Social media platforms will continue to evolve, but “A PR person’s job remains the same,” said Heather Whaling, founder and president of Geben Communication. “It’s critical that we’re innovative and staying on top of the latest and greatest; however, we also need to avoid ’shiny object syndrome’ and instead make recommendations based on the client’s business needs.”

I guess doing stuff online, makes it cheaper and more effective as well because you have more ways of reaching out to the audience and also, can do it up to the minute of the event. Instead of paying alot of money for an campaign, you can just tweet the hell out of the event and get people to come. Which is, in fact, free. Instead of getting people to come to a seminar, companies are now hosting Webinars, which is s used to conduct live meetings, training, or presentations via the Internet.This will let people come at their free will, whenever they want too, and it will all be saved if you want to see it again.

This topic of PR going digital is an extremely interesting topic and I will definitely keep you guys posted.

Remember the brand Girbauds. You know the French brand gone streetwear. In the hood, if you didn't have a pair of Girbauds you failed at life. In todays society, however, Girbauds and many other streetwear places such as Sean John, Phat Farm, Coogi, etc, are looked down upon.

Well, the brand is back. Me and a friend were discussing Girbauds as a joke ( Love you Kainon!!) , and I quickly decided to google it because curiosity struck. Well, I was appalled at what I seen when I clicked on the main website. Girbauds DEFINITELY stepped it up in their denim, and the fit is extremely distinctive, and unique. I have some looks for you guys to look at that I took with screen snapshots.

They also had an extremely impressive lookbook on the shoes as well.

What I learned: Never sleep on an designer just because in the public eye, it's a 'lame' clothing line. Because when you go to view something, if you are in fact an individual and creative person, that most of you guys claim. You will not be swayed by the publics opinion and how everyone else feels. I am very excited to see what Girbauds have in store for the years forth.

Kanye is whom I'm referring to. He has made yet again another track and teamed up with, surprisingly Charlie Wilson. The song, titled "See Me Now" also, has Beyonce on the track. My favorite part is when he says "And imma let you finish but I got Beyonce on the track" HA! Classic. But just listen and absorb yourself into his lyrics.

First look at the title and you think that I'm talking about some Spelling bee, but actually I'm referring to a clothing line that's in the works by the Fashion MAVEN Marc Jacobs. He was going in about it on his twitter, and was explaining how, he already does a up to a size 16, but he wants to expand, which will eventually expand his global business.

Justin's Opinion: I think that this is going to be amazing. Coming from the perspective of a person who is not "Sample Size" a high fashion plus size brand is just the beginning of an amazing transformation in the fashion world. It will be more accepting of the biggies. But in the same sense, will this make people think its okay to gain weight because they will still have their high fashion. Will this make models less self conscious because they can still become plus size?

I don't know if any of you guys know, or care, but I really cannot STAND Trey Songz. I know alot of people are going to be mad, but he is really repetitive and out of place.

Now I can give credit where credit is due. The dude does make some hits, and I do know some of his songs by heart. HOWEVER, if you claim to be such a REAL artist, why are you making all of this (Excuse me) SHIT to put on the radio. The voice Trey has a voice that is like a Luther, Gerald Levert, and Debarge. SOUL, but every time I hear his music it's just like something to try and sound catchy. Dude cut his hair off and grew a whole new persona. His whole entire album was about SEX. It wasn't no song on their but SEX. Which is fine because lets face it Sex Sells, however, Trey gave us no variety into the album he just was going in about sex.If you are a reader of mine then you know I like music of substance, and well that just isn't substance to me. His next album "Passion, Pain, and Pleasure"is coming out 9/14 and all of the girls are gonna want to buy it. But from the title name I just feel like it's going to be the same music, just a different name. ARE YOU THAT HORNY TREY?

The fashion GENIUS Marc Jacobs has an fragrance called BANG, his first ever Mens scent, that came out on July 30th. He said it's a spicy type of smell, and I'm literally intrigued already because everything Marc Jacobs do is perfect.. Unfortunately I can't smell it because it's only sold at the Marc Jacobs store and at Bloomingdales and Cleveland has neither one.. Hopefully he brings it to like Saks or something.
