I think I’m pretty lucky. While my husband might not be all clucky and what not, he is slowly embracing MY eternal cluckiness. I am a woman, after all, and I am pretty well just built that way! It’s not going to stop loving babies any time soon!

Image thanks to @cataldo via flickr.

I follow a few blogs written by guys, and in the last little while a few of their wives have either just had babies or are now pregnant. It’s so exciting for them, and it’s so INTERESTING to hear it all from a guy’s perspective! These men are so in love with their wives and their babies, and sometimes they make me cry!
Luke is a bit of a softie, so I am sure he will be in a similar boat when we start having kids in a few years.

I’ve been suprised at how ‘non-reactive’ Luke has been when I try to stir him with baby talk. I mentioned Home Birth the other day, and he was all, “yeah, that sounds great”. SHOCK. We’re still discussing it etc., and there are the legal matters to address when the time comes, but this is certainly something we’d like to do.

For now though, I thought I would leave you with a few great blogs/posts which have helped me to see the whole pregnancy/baby thing from a different angle…

Pacing The Panic Room Floor- I particularly love the maternity series.

New Dad: Very funny and a great read!!

Double Plus Good. A blog by me SUPER twitter friend, Matt.

Family by Zoey. Obviously Zoey is not a dad, but her husband is! I love reading about their little family!

This one’s just cause men are cool, and so is craft. DudeCraft

I’m not a people person.

In fact, one could describe me as an ‘anti-people person’.

It’s not that I don’t like fixing problems or what not, I’m just not that good with people. I get grumpy and frustrated easily. So this is something that I’ve really had to work on and try to improve, and by goly, being nice to people works WONDERS!

So it has been my mission the last few days to be nice to people and not get frustrated with them. It’s hard sometimes, but I’m getting there! Of course, this is mostly relevant to work, but is sometimes related to at home and socializing!

In other news, my parentals and A-mon-o-me (Amon) came home from Myanmar, formally known as Burma. Click the links to learn more about it via Wikipedia, though it may romanticise it a bit… So here’s a little collage of the weekend…

<img title="collage" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2519/3699464302_b9bdcbf3a8.jpg" alt="1. Luke playing the burmese harp my parents and Amon brought back from Myanmar. 4. The white gold and diamond bracelet my parents bought me from Myanmar as my graduation present. 5. Amon and Luke trying on Myanmarian clothes...

Of course, I also enjoyed taking lots of photos with Rachel, and catching up with Zoey and her family (including the always adorable Mayana!) randomly at M’ba.

I’m not really sure why you would want to do this, unless you had accidentally made two. This is what happened to Rachel, and so this post is for her- so there’s no more two account confusion!!

Step 1: Log into the facebook account you want to delete. Before you delete you might want to request the friendship of anyone you want to remain friends with.

Step 2: Click on “Settings” in the top right hand corner, next to log out. This will bring up a drop down menu. Select “Account Settings”.

Step 3: A big grey box will appear. At the bottom is ‘Deactivate Account’ select this.

Step 4: You’ll need to confirm that you want to deactivate. Fill out the feedback and select “Deactivate My Account”. This is as far as I’ve ever gone, so I’m not sure if you have to confirm via email etc. Let me know in the comments if there’s anything I’ve missed!

Taking photos those makes one TIRED! And I seem to spend so much more time in post-production then actually taking the photos. Is this NORMAL?!!?!

AND I have so much to do! I’m making a bag for my fabric ruler. It’s my first sort of patchwork thing, so I’m pretty excited.

I GRADUATE tomorrow. I’m a little non-excited about it, and a little nervous. More nervous about my hair actually, and it’s black roots… My initial thoughts were, “I’m wearing that cardboard hat, so it’ll be okay” and now I’m not so sure… I’ll be calling Suanne today to see if she can fit me in for an emergency colour. Rachel is so much more organised then me… *hangs head in shame*.

Also, I thought I would post it out there that if you are following me on twitter, @sunshinetalia is my personal account, and @taliacarbis is my geek/education account. If you’ve never re-followed @sunshinetalia from the handle swap a few weeks ago, then you’re probably missing out.

It’s really simple. I love how every photo tells a story. Some short stories, some long tales. I want to know what is your favourite photo of yourself. Everyone has one.
So share the photo, share the story and then tag three other people. I want to see photos and stories all around the blogosphere.

The photo isn’t the good- it’s 22 years old now, and is pretty spech. That’s me and my daddy. Our first photo. I love him SO much, and I by the looks of this photo, he loves me too. There is something so special about daddies and their daughters.

I can’t wait for the day when I can take a picture of Luke with our daughter in the same position. I love my dad, and think that he’s the best.

Do you ever feel so INCREDIBLY overwhelmed with life? I sometimes feel like I want to retire. Not because of my job (I enjoy working with my husband, Dad and other other team members; and the work I do is enjoyable, and new), but sometimes just because of life. I get a taste for all these wonderful things I could be doing- sewing, crafting, scraping etc and I think, “Goodness, why don’t I just do this ALL the time?!”

But alas, it’s not really like that, is it? We HAVE to work to make money to buy the crafty things we need!

I HAVE joined a craft group, which is helping me to enjoy and release my creative side. It’s my Nana’s craft group. We meet on Tuesday mornings, about 9-12 at Nana’s. Of course, this means I’m taking some time off work, BUT I’m making it up by working an extra hour each other day. Here’s what I’ve done in the last two weeks:

The top half of our Christmas wall hanging.

This post is, by the way, dedicated to my friend Mandy, who thinks I need to chat more on this blog…

My angels are a bit different to everyone else’s, but hey, was I EVER really going to conform to the pattern? They also look a bit different… STARS are going at the top, which will be very cute.

I got my APRON in the mail! From my partner Alice, who’s from The U.S. You have a look at her blog- she has a cute little button puppy which I am seriously in love with!
