Well I'm off to Vegas in the morning. There are a few issues with the hand converter I need to iron out so anyone who sent feedback you haven't been forgotten. I will have the laptop with me over there so during some downtime I might get something done but we all deserve a break don't we?

Just fixed a problem with PT hands so if anyone was having difficulty with them they should be ok now. Thanks for those who provided feedback on this. Helps me to keep on top of things.

Fixing problems with the Hand Converter

There appear to be a number of issues with the hand converter in particular the calculation of bet sizes etc. It's very difficult to pin-point these without example hands so I have added a report error link on the converter. When you are viewing a hand and it is not diplaying the hand as it should just click the link, fill out the feedback form detailing what was incorrect and I will be able to look at the specific example.

Hand Converter Update - PT Hands accepted

As the title says the hand converter will now accept PT hand histories. It will require you to enter your nickname as the PT histories don't indicate who you are so if you are selecting to have your nickname to here or whatever then you'll need to add it in. I'll be adding cookie support soon that will remember your preferences including your nickname.

iPoker Hand Converter - Planned Changes delayed

I'm currently working on updating the Hand Converter to accept Poker Tracker Hand Histories. One simple problem. I fly to Vegas on Wednesday morning so I'm afraid it's unlikely to get done until August at this stage. I considered cancelling my trip to the City of Sin (in another life) but decided I may as well have my holiday.

Just a quick mention of the iPoker Hand Converter I've added to the site. Alot of play on iPoker sites and alot of us use the wonderful hand converter from flopturnriver.com but unfortunately it doesn't support the xml files used by iPoker. So heres the solution. Just upload your iPoker xml files and select the hand you want to convert. Go to the iPoker Hand Converter.

New Blog System

Wow March already. Anyway we are now testing the new free blog system. You can register with the site and create your own blog. You can also import posts from any existing blog you may have. The whole system is in it's very early stages so there will undoubtedly be issues. If you do decide to create a blog and have problems then email admin@talking-poker.com and we'll try to help you out as soon as possible. In the meatime we'll be adding more functionality to the whole blog system. The idea is to provide poker bloggers with what they need that other blog sites might not provide. Poker Images, hand commenting, online clock and so on. Here we can make poker orientated blogging the priority.

Remarkably we have a new episode for you all just in time for Christmas. We decided to talk to 2 of the guys most involved in Irish poker, Tom Murphy and Mike Lacey. From reporting on events all over the world to organising their own tournaments in Ireland to running their own online skin these guys are deeply involved in alot of what matters in poker. As ever our sound problems were back to haunt us but I think you'll find the chat more than makes up for it. Both Tom and Mike have plenty to say.

Well it's finally here. Episode 4. This time around we are joined by Dave "Roundtower" Murray and Dominic "5starpool" Heever. Dave finished 48th in this years WSOP and Dom reached the final table of the European Poker Masters so the calibre of these guys is in no doubt. We talk to them about their experiences in said tournaments and as both are accomplished Omaha players we also got some words from them on their approach to "Yamaha". It's late and need sleep so tomorrow I will add some notes and relevent links etc. For now download and enjoy. Theres also a little treat at the end so don't miss it.
