He, in many of his sketches involved a loose painting stroke which invokes a feeling of freedom. He captures the atmosphere of his subject and you’re taken there. Some of them are quite stunning and inspiring. I particularly like the fact that they are ancient and worn, giving them an enticing quality. Meaning I could look at them for ages.Some of the compositions reminded me of the renaissance paintings of the 14th century.
