We have three little girls still here. They do have new puppy owners, but they have not moved in to their new house yet, so the girls are staying with us. Their names are Luna, Misha, and Nika. Here is a cute video of them playing in the snow today with Mom and Dad.

8 Weeks old!!!

Well this is it... 8 Weeks, we made it. All the puppies will start going home to their new families now. They went and saw Dr. Angelos at Mann Memorial Veterinary clinic yesterday for their 8 week puppy visit, and their first shot. Dr. A checked their teeth and hearts and made sure their were no hernia's or missing "peanuts". Then the vet tech came in and gave them the 3rd round of worm medication and trimmed their nails.

When we were done, we loaded them all back into the car. They are good little puppies in the car!After we got them home they wanted to PLAY!!!!

Well congratulations to all my new puppy families. All of our little babies now have homes. The last three little girls are now the proud owners of Sarah and Kenny. They will all stay together. Sarah and Kenny we are so happy for you and the new family. You are certainly braver than I am to take home three little fur balls at the same time. Puppies 1st fieldtrip

Well we moved the puppies downstairs today. In part to give them a new routine and also to save my carpet. Now they have a bigger area to play in, and they can also go in the mudroom when the big dogs are outside. Speaking of outside, it snowed today for the first time in a month...woot woot we got an inch..just enough to tease. The puppies were in the mud room playing, and their mommy and daddy went outside. A few of the pups sat in the open doorway, and instead of keeping them in, we decided to see what they would do.
What followed was the most entertaining momewnts of the day. Puppies playing in the snow, and getting moe daring by the minute, deciding if they were going to step off the patio or not. A few of them got very adventurous and decided to follow mommy and daddy into the yard. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Well the active little fluff balls are now six weeks old. It is a full time job keeping after them. They are rambunctious and energetic and curious. They still nap frequently just not as long. I have to say raising a littler of ten puppies can put even the most patient person to a test. I have loved every minute of it..(ok maybe not the minutes I am cleaning puppy poop up). Sierra (the mommy dog) is very good at teaching them how to play. She also gets involved when they are playing too rough. Enjoy the videos.

They said, you don't think Tiger Woods just picks up his clubs while he is playing in a tournament...No, he practices. Every professional sports team practices. So that's what I did with Ashley and Tori. My beautiful daughter and her adorable best friend Tori. I practiced my posing and lighting techniques with these two gorgeous young ladies. So we got to go watch an amazing gymnast rock her routines yesterday in Andover, Mass. Her name is Courtney and not only is she an amazing gymnast, but she is an amazing person. Courtney is one of my daughters teammates and best friends. She has a huge heart and she is as pretty as she is nice. I am honored to call her our friend and know she will do well at whatever she puts her mind to in life. She placed 6th AA at Regionals and is now headed to California to compete at Nationals. Political Rant 3/5/11

OK, so I am not one who usually shares her views about political or religious stuff publicly but this issue really burns my boat. I believe in freedom of speech. I believe in the right to assemble. I believe in Freedom Of religion. I also believe in the right to privacy and respect for one another. What I don't believe in is the right of a bunch of religious zealots picketing at soldiers funerals under the guise of any of the aforementioned rights. The following is a post from a friends facebook page. As the wife of a Retired USAF Sargent, I proudly post it here for all to see.

Wow, Its March!!!

I can't believe that its March already. We had about a ten day stretch at the end of February where we did not have a snow storm. Then, BAM, we got slammed with a few back to back storms. I got a little behind on my Photo a Week due to extreme cold and snow. I am going to catch up this week with three more to bring us to week Ten. That's the beauty of New England, the weather changes daily..sometimes even by the hour. I hope you are enjoying the images of New England. I cant think of a better place to live for photography.

I found this little beauty when I stopped for coffee. We have had a bunch of rain and don't have a lot of snow left. It seems like this little plant is trying desperately to reach out of the snow for the beautiful sunshine of spring. The igns of spring are starting to show up everywhere. We will soon be seeing green green green,instead of white. I can't wait!!!!

Since I missed Week 12 I will add two for week thirteen. My husband and I made the trip up to Bethel, Maine this week. We spent a few days in Bethel and made the daily drive to Rangely to ride our snowmobiles. The scenery is just fantastic up there. The trails are gorgeous and still very rideable. it snowed at the summit as we crossed everyday, and snowed on us the further up the trails we went. What a great little mini vacation it was. Picture a Week 2011

The scenery in New England is unique, yet recognizable everywhere. No matter what season we are in, there is always something beautiful to take pictures of here in Maine. This weekly blog will be my attempt at capturing and sharing some of the beauty with you through my camera.

I know, its already week three and there are no pictures. Well I am posting them today. I will do my best to keep up with this weekly. By the end of the year, there will be 52 photos to help you see why I think the New England area is gorgeous. Whether you live here, or far away, I hope you appreciate it's beauty.

Week 4...

Wow, Its hard to believe we are in the last week of January already. It's very cold outside today(-11) and we are expecting 2 more storms this week. Go figure after all we do live in Maine. I was out trail riding yesterday with my husband on our snowmobiles, and came across this really pretty scene. I thought I would share. i love to take these scenic shots. I did these with my pint and shoot. It was too cold to break out the big cameras, and I didn't want to bounce them around on the back of the sled. Thank you for looking.

Well here is another week and another photo. I saw these turkeys while I was driving down the street. The minute I raised my camera they all took off. The flock numbered about 15 or so. One of my neighbors actually keeps their bird feeders full all winter so the flock hands around. With as much as they are exposed to humans, I am really surprised they are so frightened by my cameras.

Well we are well past week 6 and heading into week 7. We have actually now gone 2 Wednesdays with out a snow storm. We do still have quite a bit of snow on the ground, but due to the extreme cold and some rain, everything is now hard and icy. The snow is dirty....I hate to say it, but we could use a fresh coat of snow to make everything pretty again. I shot this photo of the falls again, but this time from a side view. I was kinda of rude because I pulled into someones driveway and rolled down my window to get this picture. I really like the composition, but wish the branch in front was not there. Hope you continue to enjoy the beautiful scenery of New England!
Week 6 photo

Although I just posted my week 6 photo, I thought since we are half way through week 7 I would just go ahead and get it posted. I tend to carry my camera with me everywhere I go. this usually pays off in getting a photo in some unusual places that you would not expect to find. i shot this really neat picture of a wagon covered in snow in a drive through at a big name coffee place. I am not going to name them, why give them free publicity, especially since they usually can;t even get my order correct. I found this to be unique and beautiful. I wish it was from a differnet angle to get the extra stuff that you see on top gone, but what are you going to do?
