A few weeks back I got to hang out with the CUTEST FAMILY EVER!!! We dodged the rain (it rained right before I got there, and started again right as I left!), and had a good ol’ time hanging out! I’m finally getting around to a little sneak peek of their sweet session down on the family farm… enjoy!

“I don’t think we’ve ever had family photos taken! Let alone when everyone is all together like this!” I hear that alot these days. Life gets busy! I hear ya! Children grow up and move out of the house. And maybe move away. They have children of their own. Jobs are busy and get in the way of family time… life doesn’t seem to slow down. But I’m reminded how truly special time with family is when everyone’s together. Especially when I get to photograph big families together like this. A blessing that even I take for granted all too often.

What a pleasure it was to photograph my Uncle + Aunt’s beautiful family. They were all together celebrating the Easter weekend… and what better time to document this amazing family!! The sun was shining, the kids were smiling, and the guys even came decked to the nines their tux’s ;) What a fun shoot with a fun family! Thank you for letting me capture these memories of you all together!!

I remember Amy’s email clearly… “Are you available in a couple weeks to take some photos? Some… announcement photos?” (Followed by a few smiley and winky emoticons!) AHH! I knew right away what she was implying! YES, SO FUN! I’ve never done announcement photos before, so I was so excited to try something new! Amy and I had never met, but have chatted through Facebook and Instagram for a while now, so when we met up for their photos, it was such a blast to officially meet in person! She’s absolutely everything I imagined – sweet, smiley, adorable and FUN! Amy brought along her handsome hubby Brent, their dog Izzie, and some props (including their old stuffed animals from when her and Brent were babies and a beautiful white cradle) and we lucked out with some beautiful weather for their session! I waited for the OK from Amy to post these… and now that’s it’s common knowledge… CONGRATULATIONS Brent + Amy! Thank you for asking me to take these photos for you! You two will make wonderful parents :)

We had the most GORGEOUS spring day for these family photos. It was HOT (well, for March!) and it was AWESOME! I instantly felt like I’d known them for years… they were so welcoming! Not to mention, the Keis’ have a great property for photos – I could have shot at their farm and hung out with them all day long! My second wedding of 2013 kicked off on March 23rd – and it was a beauuuuuutiful day!!! We were blessed with lots of sunshine and a good-looking group of people :) Josh + Stephanie were married in Cloverdale, but before we headed over to Campbell Valley Park for their portraits, they made a pit stop at Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt for a yummy snack – and we got to join in! ;) Here are a few teaser shots from their wedding day… more to come soon!!

Ok… this sneak peek is WAY WAY overdue… my huge apologies to Ryan + Cassie! But how am I supposed to choose just a few to post here, when I shot 6,135 images at their gorgeous Cabo San Lucas, Mexico wedding! With a tropical location as dreamy as this, and a couple as beautiful as ever… it is hard to narrow down just a couple images. So here are a few, ok – more than a few, of my favourites. But there are more. SO MANY MORE! Maybe I’ll have to do another teaser before their wedding is done too ;)

We did a Trash the Dress shoot the day after as well… but I’ll share that in another teaser post later :)

I love weddings… love, love, LOVE! And, I love Christmas. So a wedding two days after Christmas? YES PLEASE!! The church was all decked out in red, green & gold, twinkly lights & poinsettias, holly & evergreen trees… a Christmassy delight! Jake + Tricia were a pleasure to photograph. To see two young people so in love… ahh, it’s the best!

I’ve gotten to know Jake’s wonderful family over the last couple years – I photographed his sister Emily’s wedding in summer 2011, his sister Bethany’s wedding in summer 2012, and now his! Their family being busy with wedding planning is an understatement ;) But boy have I loved seeing them at every wedding – always welcoming me with a big hug – I feel like an honorary family member, and am so blessed to document these special moments in their families lives.

Jake + Tricia, your wedding was beautiful and I loved hanging out with you and your wedding party! May your marriage be as full of love & laughter as your beautiful wedding day was!
