For 26 years MCT has provided thousands of youth in our community the opportunity to get up on stage and be a part of a musical theatre production.  This year's production is "The Tortoise Versus the Hare".

MCT Tour/Actor Directors arrive on Monday, audition and cast our kids by that afternoon, work with them throughout the week and by Saturday the cast is ready to perform a professionally staged hour long musical, complete with set and costumes.

Students entering 1st grade to 12th grade from all walks of life work together learning lines, songs, and dances throughout the week.  In helping and sharing they produce a magical performance for the Taos community.  The program is free to participants.

This program is for children 8 to 12 years old.  Snack and lunch will be provided, it will run from June 10 to August 9th, Monday Friday 9:00-3:00.

A few items of note:  Next week the school district has changed the calendar and we have just discovered it.  We will have a FULL day of school on Thursday, May 23rd and TCS will now have a half day, along with the district, on Friday, May 24th.  This last minute change is similar to what happened to us in the winter when we had to cancel our field trip, but we will still plan to go to Ghost Ranch that Friday.  It has been planned since September and I don't want to give it up!  We will leave at 8 am and return at 3:30 to the school.  If you signed up to chaperone and you need to cancel because you have to pick up a younger sibling, please let me know as soon as possible.

Third Grade Awards and Show is still scheduled for Tuesday, May 28th at 1:30 promptly.  Our K-4 Field Day is the next day, 5/29, from 10-2 at Kit Carson Park.
