Old timers? You know what to do...

Even though the more I watch the TV and the more I read the news the more scared I get, I deeply and completely love and accept that scared part of me.

Even though everybody's complaining, I'm open to the possibility we could call it the credit crunch blues

Even though everybody's singing a song of lack and disappointment, we're open to the possibility that we can beat those credit crunch blues.

Front of the eye (FE): I'm getting really scared when I hear the bad news

Side of the eye (SE): I get really scared when I hear the bad news

Under the eye (UE): All those credit crunch blues

Under the nose (N): I've got those credit crunch blues

Chin (C): I've decided to have them because everybody else has got them

Collarbone (CB): It makes me so nervous about money coming in

Under the arm (UA): That's the reality, I'm nervous about money coming in

Top of the head (H): I wonder what it would be like for me to beat those credit crunch blues?

Even though they say that we're heading for recession and then I believe it and feel those credit crunch blues and I start to think about all the things I need to do to cut back, I'm open to the possibility I can release the need to do that.

Even though I'm so afraid that there's not enough to go around and the little child inside of me believes everything the experts say, I'm open to the possibility that we can beat those credit crunch blues

Even though we believe the experts and they may well be right, I'm open to the possibility I'd rather be happy and calm than scared.

(FE): The experts sing disaster news

(SE): The experts and their credit crunch blues

(UE): That makes me feel really scared

(N): And that may not be helpful for me

(C): Maybe I can beat

(CB): Those credit crunch blues

(UA): I wonder what it would be like to release those credit crunch blues?

(H): I'm open to the possibility I'm releasing those credit crunch blues now

Even though I keep buying into what the experts say and who am I to disagree, the evidence is that they're right and I'm open to the possibility I can release the need to buy into those credit crunch blues

Even though the experts could be right and who am I to disagree, I'm open to the possibility that I'm releasing the need now to react to those credit crunch blues.

Even though I do react to the credit crunch blues, I'm open to the possibility the more I let the fear arise, the more I begin to act that out and it becomes a reality for me

(FE): I act the fear out that the experts tell me to do

(SE): The experts warn me to be afraid

(UE): And I believe them, who am I to disagree?

(N): The evidence tells me they may be correct

(C): And maybe I can make a decision

(CB): That I can beat those credit crunch blues

(UA): I wonder what it would be like to know that I can feel calm and relaxed in those credit crunch blues?

(H): And I'm open to the possibility my cells will act that out and maybe that's all I have to do

"I've recently picked up on the thread that Ann identified at her Procrastination workshop back in September 2007. She really cracked the hard shell of that one in just the short time that we worked on it. Since working on other aspects of that issue "Not feeling safe to be Noticed" again I've really noticed a huge shift in me. I sailed through a 10 minute presentation which would have been unthinkable before. I've got better about being direct and asking for what I actually want. It's given me the courage to sign up for Ecademy and Twitter to expand my business and actually post messages without sweating & agonising about it(!)

These shifts have had a huge impact already on my business. Because of the shifts that Ann helped me make at the workshop organised by Judith, I'm now working on a business deal that could be worth £Thousands£!!! and I'm really thrilled about it :-) So thank you Judith for bringing Ann Ross and her wonderful workshops into my life."

In our having to be perfect by living up to others' expectations we end up feeling exhausted, burned out and no good to anybody, least of all ourselves.

Before you begin this week's tapping script, take a few moments to fill in the blanks to the following two phrases so you can insert your answers easily and personalise your own tapping script.

I have to be perfect otherwise................................................

I have to be perfect or else....................................................

Even though I have to be perfect otherwise....................................., I deeply and completely love and accept that part of me.

Even though I have to be perfect otherwise......................................, I'm open to the possibility this is simply a belief that I have created when I was very young, and I'm bringing that into my adult life now in a way which may not be helpful for me.

Even though I have to be perfect or else.........................................., I deeply and completely love and accept myself no matter what.

Front of the eye (FE): I have to be perfect

Side of the eye (SE): I have to be perfect

Under the eye (UE): And that takes a lot of energy

Under the nose (UN): I have to be perfect

Chin (C): Otherwise ................................................................

Collarbone (CB): I have to be perfect or else.................................................

Under the arm (UA): Maybe these are simply beliefs that I learned in childhood, decisions that I made that I am bringing into my adult life

Top of the head (H): I wonder what it would be like to know that the perfect mother hasn't been born that gave birth to the perfect child?

Even though I have to be perfect otherwise there will be consequences, I won't be liked or loved, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

Even though I have to be perfect otherwise I won't be loved, I deeply and completely love and accept that part of me that believes that.

Even though I have to be perfect and that means I have to try really, really hard all the time and that's exhausting, I love and accept myself.

FE: There will be consequences if I'm not perfect

SE: I won't be loved

UE: I won't even be liked

UN: So I have to try harder and harder and harder

C: To please everybody all the time

CB: I wonder what it would be like to give myself permission to make mistakes?

UA: Maybe I could give other people permission to make mistakes too

TH: Maybe I could forgive myself for making mistakes.

Even though its hard to give myself permission to make mistakes, and its easy for me to forgive other people, I'm open to the possibility the more I forgive myself, the move loving and lovable I am.

Even though I can't give myself permission to make mistakes, I'm open to the possibility mistakes are golden opportunities for my growth.

Even though I can't give myself permission to make mistakes, I can acknowledge that I'm not perfect and maybe I'm still lovable.

FE: I can't forgive myself for making mistakes

SE: You may say mistakes are learning experiences

UE: But I won't be liked

UN: And I won't even be loved

C: And maybe I could remember

CB: That the perfect woman hasn't been born that gave birth to the perfect child

UA: Maybe I'm still lovable when I make mistakes

TH: I'm open to the possibility that I am worthy of being loved when I make mistakes.

Underneath, uncomfortable feelings of anger, fear, worry, anxiety and sadness are born from that; we become stuck and we can't live up to our potential. It can go into physical discomfort that has an emotional base - aches, pains, itching, coughing, nausea, insomnia, rashes, asthma and those feelings can be creating the physical symptoms. Then we become disconnected from the inspiration, the courses we have done, because a huge part of us knows that's who we are. Unfortunately, the "yes" that we give ourselves is not 100% because of the writing on our walls.

Do I deserve success? Why Do I self-sabotage? Why do I feel so unworthy? Here's this week's tapping scripts addressing these issues. Please remember to adapt the words that don't fit for you to something which does and re-write in your own language where appropriate.

Even though I am not worthy to be successful and I can't do anything right so I expect to fail, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

Even though there must be something wrong with me because other people are successful, I'm open to the possibility this is a five year-old's decision that I am bringing into my adult life and that may not be helpful for me or my business.

Even when I try to do things right, I don't and I can't and that makes me feel really worthless, so what's the point? I deeply and completely love and accept myself and I respect these little kid feelings.

Front of the eyebrow (FE): What if they were wrong?

Side of the eye (SE): What if my parents and teachers were wrong?

Under the eye (UE): What if I was good and clever and kind all along?

Under the nose (UN): What if I was a fabulous success and perfect all along?

Chin (C): What if they were wrong?

Collarbone (CB): I'm open to the possibility that I was fabulous and perfect and wonderful in every way

Under the arm (UA): Maybe I can release the need now to keep myself stuck

Top of the head (H): I'm open to the possibility that I was perfect all along.

Second set:

FE: I can't do anything right

SE: Can't do anything right

UE: I'll never be successful

UN: There must be something wrong with me

C: I'll never be successful

CB: There must be something wrong with me

UA: I'm bad because I don't do what I'm supposed to do

H: I'm open to the possibility I was doing the best I could with the knowledge and information I had

Even though it doesnt matter what I did, I just couldn't please my parents and I tried and tried and tried and that didnt work, I made a decision that I was worthless and stupid and I deeply and completely love and accept all those parts of me and I'd like to let them know that we are in the process of releasing all this stuff now.

Even though other people can do things better than I can, I love and accept that part of me no matter what.

Even though my brothers and sisters could please my parents but I couldn't and that made me feel worthless and unworthy, I'm open to the possiblity I can love and accept myself anyway.

FE: I don't deserve to be happy or successful

SE: I'm not willing to do what it takes to be successful

UE: I hate to do the marketing I need to do

UN: I have to struggle

C: Nothing in life comes easy

CB: It's tough to get anywhere in life

UA: And if I'm successful, I'll be too big for my britches

H: If I'm successful I will have to stand out

Second set

FE: Since I can't do things very well, why even try?

SE: So I don't have enough customers

UE: I don't have enough customers

UN: I don't have enough money

C: Maybe. Maybe not

CB: Whether I do or whether I don't, I deeply and completely love and accept all those parts of me

UA: Maybe I could remember these beliefs are just like the Tooth Fairy

H: I'm open to the possibility I've created them in order to keep myself safe

Even though I'm not good enough and I expect to fail, I love and accept that part of me and I'm open to the possibility that there's no failure, only feedback.

Even though I'm so afraid that I'm not going to be a success and that fear keeps me stuck in my little room in the Palace of Possibilities with all that writing on my walls, I'm open to the possibility that other people put that writing on my walls and maybe I was doing the best I could at the time.

Even though I could never give my parents what they needed from me and that made me think I couldn't do anything right, I'm open to the possibility they learned that from their parents and their parents' parents' parents and they did a great job of handing that down to me; I was just a child and I thought it was the truth and I'm open to the possibility that I can respect and love myself and my feelings.

Who would I be if I were rich and successful?

I wonder what that would be like?

That could be scary

I could step into my full power

That would be scary

I'm open to the possibility that all those parts of me that learned from parents and teachers and the media are doing a great job of keeping me stuck and fearful

I wonder what it would be like to release my need to feel fearful?

I wonder what it would be like to give myself permission to shine?

Second set:

I don't deserve to shine

I don't deserve success

I just don't deserve to be happy

Maybe

Maybe not

Whether I do or whether I don't, I love and accept myself and I respect my feelings

I wonder what it would be like to fly?

I'm open to the possibility that I can shine in baby steps.
