Recent passions and other tasks have kept me from updating this Blog.

Being a father places one in the mood of responsibility and taking care of someone else.

It changed my perspective of life and also brought forth passions of taking photos and seeing the world in a different light.
It is a transformational phase for me. Like a judgement. Relationship with my father and mother improved significantly. Appreciation of certain toys which i played with as a child was shown in the face of my baby.
New life and a fool's journey begins for me again....? this time as a father. It is a rediscovery of life and the circle of life which binds us to our roots.....

I would be holding a tarot workshop for beginners at Punggol Community Club.

Address is 3 Hougang Ave 6. It is walking distance from Hougang MRT station.

The Workshop would consists of 4 hours. Time is 2 to 6 pm.

Course content is as follows.

Session 1: History of Tarot and going thru cards 0 fool to 10 wheel of fortune.

Session 2: Cards 11 Justice to 21 the world. Followed by Minor arcana Wands cards 1 to 10.

Session 3: Minor Arcana suits of Swords and Cups.

Session 4: Minor Arcana Suit of Pentacle. and also the use of some basic spreads.

Each session is 1 hour with 15 mins break intervals.

the Cost of the workshop would be 200 dollars for non members and 180 for members.

Spirit Quartz Record Keeper

Spirit Quartz is an unusual Variety of Quartz which is found only in South Africa.
It has an unusual growing habit. the central crystal form with faceted termination and a main crystal body covered with small terminated points.
They are also known as Porcupine quartz or Cactus Quartz.

It is used for aligning oneself to one's higher self. It gently releases the tensions of our conscious and unconscious fears, allowing us to truly live.

It normally comes in Amethyst color. However, the one which i found is white in color with a citrine base..
It was drawn to me. and has several faces with triangle indentals of the record keeper version.

The above is one triangle face and the below is another face with an indented triangle. as shown.

This stone is telling me to make dreams come true and some additional knowledge i have received from it about how to go about making my visions come true.

Perhaps with more meditation and understanding with my 3 other record keepers. the herkimer diamond, the aqua-marine and the big record keeper crystal. more knowledge would be revealed.

I have spent a lot on crystals this month..... no more purchases till further notices..... baby expenses come first now...

Ammolite crystal. Rainbow stone. Fortune.

Recently i bought an Ammonite fossil. There is another type of fossil which is ammolite.

It has hews of rainbow color and some people says it is the rainbow stone and also a stone of good fortune.

I liked this shell so i bought it.... I hope that its colors will bring luck and prosperity to the family.

Oracle of visions. My favourite cards.

Recently, the oracle of vision is one of the decks which is good for the using as a significator to lay a stage prior to reading. the following are some of my favourite cards in the deck.

The above is the card strength of support of others. Many a time we need to rely on the strenght of others in order to perform. We also lend strenght to others as well. In order for a performance to be a success, normally it is a co-operation of both the one supporting as well as the one who is dancing. We should remember on whose backs do we do our work on as well as team work is a key.

The beauty of creation. When a man and a woman gets together, we can create a miracle. In the watchman from alan moore, the comedian and the silk spectre created the silk spectre 2. It is this act of creation which moves Dr manhatten to aid mankind.

Children should be protected by divine powers. Om is all around them and all the signs are in their favour.

"Beware the wolf...." a tale of caution...... In peril one is there is always some danger awaiting to pounce on you..... I like the eyes of the wolf in this card as well as a modern portrayal of a very oil tale.....

Patience is needed in fishing...... a bit of imagination to wile the time away...... fishing without a bait..... May the one willing please step up.... a call for volunteers....

This card reminds me of the 2 of pentacles of balance and choices.... with the power of libra.... one must be fair and a good juggler of deeds.

Singing Bowls, Ammonite and patterns. Spirals.

Frosted Singing Bowl. Crystal. For throat Charkra.

For some time now, i had wanted to buy a singing bowl for my house to heal my throat and to make me feel with it the tone in which it plays is G#.

It is for cleansing crystals and space clearing.

I bought mine quite cheaply at Harmony Gems. It is only 9" but good enough for my crystals.

Another article which i bought is a ammonite fossil. The night before, Krishna, a hindu god appeared in a dream and said the world works with spirals.....

Ammonite is a spiral shape and it suppose to resemble charkas? Perhaps it is for me to think of growth and rebirth.....

This Ammonite is of some importance..... perhaps by the dream and perhaps i am intrigued with the ideas of Spirals....
A chi gong master did some removal of bad chi using sprial actions anti clockwise and also the art of Aikido is movement in spirals...

It is a new growth in understanding for me...? the god of Ammon is also associated with this shell animal.... lessons from the past?

The oracle of vision is 3 years work for Ciro Machetti, who did the Gilded tarot, the tarot of dreams and the divine legacy tarot.

The above card is names as tranquility or peace and depicts a person at rest from worries and suffering.
A lot of the pictures in the oracle has a fool as the main character. Here it is the fool out of the box. Starting anew.

This is another picture of a fool thinking of which path to take.

The above is a card of entrapment.

The above is a puzzle which is related to the oracle of visions.

Life stages and the Major arcana.

The major arcana is a set of cards which have been mentioned to represent various stages of a person's life path.

When we begin a journey of learning, or are born in this world. We are like the fool and experience a new start. without knowledge or mastery, we have a beginner's mind and find our ways to enlightenment.

Along the way there are instances of sudden change. The towers which we are constantly built up, will be destroyed. Our egos are challenged constantly. Matters great and small. Destruction of what we knew, may no longer be truth.
In the lovers, we make choices, decisions on whom to marry, whom to love, whom to partner how to communicate. it is a constant choice matter.

We know not the understanding of times. We are confused and illusions sometimes clouds our minds. like the moons and the tides which are caused by it, non consistancy.

Yet it is through these inconsistancies which we emerge. A new day dawning. A new life to us. Be it a change in job, education or status like marriage and birth of child. A sun would brighten the darkest nights.

And perhaps we find a need to reorganise and to be the king or emperor of our lives.... to be a father, a boss or just picking up the pieces.......

The above 6 cards could be a person's life story. In short.... it describes what has happened in my life for the past 3 years.

Eihwaz the rune of transformation. of change. Guardian of the Rainbow bridge.

I was waiting for time to pass and wrote the runes Elder Futhark from memory. 23 runes i wrote in order. Yet 1 eluded my gasp. Try as i may 1 rune, was not in my thoughts. It was Eihwaz.

The Rune Eihwaz. a rune of transformation. I face a barrier. i am at the rainbow bridge and infront of me is the guardian. I have journeyed far.... this is the last step which i needed to take.

In front is myself verus myself.... change is coming.

I am going from the sun (son) to the Emperor(father) a change and i am afraid?

My understanding of this particular rune is not very strong. It is a rune of protection. It is long lasting. it is to protect and prevent attacks.

It is the rune of yew. a strong tree to make bows and arrows from. A tree of protection. In the wizard of earth sea, Ged used this wooden for his staff and magic. It means an ending of a stage and transformation to another.

Like death in tarot. But again not true death but a trial and change is coming... Embrace this change and it will strenghten me.....

A new beginning is coming for me in life and this rune is about changes.... of phases and the continuity of life.....

It reminds me of the Iching gua of Ji Ji. after change. heating up water for something new and miracleous. It could mean my daughter's birth has changed me.... perhaps i should be a different man now?

Haindl Tarot

It has been ages since i last wrote a review on a deck.
The most recently i have been working with the Haindl tarot.
Ash abdullah once told me this deck is not a easy deck to work with and i agree in a certain manner. It combines Iching, Runes, Kaballah and also mythical figures all in one. A lot of symbolic power, but not all i agree with.

The deck was done in 1990 which was 10 years prior to 9 11 incident. The tower in this deck does look like the 9 11 incident and it is powered by Algis rune inverted. that is of change and devastation. This i much agree. Americans prior to 9 11 thought themselves invincible. this change sparked a lot of things terrorism and of fear. Like the tower card.

The thing which i dislike about the tarot is the cards like court cards. they are gods and goddesses. if a person is not attuned to that god or does not know myths it becomes distracting to use. Kali is the queen of swords..... Impartial she is she could be a good lady or a fierce enemy.

Buffalo woman is the princess of stones...... Buffalo is the source of meat and of a lot of livelihood in the north american culture.....

The fool is given the runes of Wunjo which is good as it is of happiness and of in a drunken and high stage which most people act when they are fools..... but powerful potential for good or evil....

The Iching Gua is in the minor arcana. Here i find most of the gua are quite well placed. the liberation gua is against that of 7 of wands. Change and revolt against the odds......

recovery or repair is the gua associated in the 4 of swords..... which quite true.

Overall this deck is for a person who understands all the different arts for various cultures to use to its full potential... Good advance deck and one of the best attempts to link tarot with Iching.

Elections in Singapore and the study of symbols.

Since 1959, the People actions party has been in power. It is a strong and powerful party. 42 years in total.

Election is in fever now. so i would talk about the various party symbols and their logos. These are my personal opinion and it does not imply my political stand point.

We start with the Worker's party's symbol and colors. The worker's party has the predominate symbol of the hammer. The hammer is a symbol of power. It is used by a worker in many ways to hammer in nails, to test the solidity of a object and to help in the flattening of a object (used in plates or decoration.) It is to affliate with the common people. It is also used in a courtroom by the judge to draw attention. It is used by a auction dealer to close a deal. Hence it is a common item.

In Norse Myths, the hammer is used by thor.... "Now in cinemas!" and it is used to bring down giants (could be the ruling class), to defend the weak and to bring lightning and thunder.

If they want to bring change the hammer is a good symbol.

The weakness of this symbol is their choice of colors.

They used the colors of red and yellow. these 2 colors go well together, however it is a self clashing color. Red represents fire and yellow represents metal. In fengshui or in chinese myths, this would be their downfall. Within the party it may seem to have many in fighting or many wars and weaken the strenght of the party. Only if a person of charisma and diplomacy or person of water element would be able to control it.

The reform party's symbol and NSP has similar characteristics. They have used that of a Sun. The sun is a symbol of power and of great strenght. However the reform party sun is overshadowed by the words of reform. as part of it and could not break forth its power. the sun of the NSP is better in that sense. the color choices are red which fuels, good in the sense of the NSP but the conflict of yellow and blue in the reform party symbol draws away the purpose and the word reform. It highlights and brings to mind the idea whether the party is true to their intentions. it is not focused and diluted.

In the study of symbols, i feel strongly that the PAP symbol is really very powerful. the person who designed it is a genius. The symbol of lightning in a S which resembles the Rune SUWOLO that of change and the sun serves the party well. the lightning means fast in action. it cannot be seen and can strike anywhere. the breaking of the circle refers to the moving away of an era, Which was the colonial era. However, if you see it, it is a cause of discord, not within the party but without. Hence if a symbol in an opposition party has a circle, it may not suceed as the lightning would strike upon them and cause massive damage. Harming the conherency of the party.

Birth of my Daughter.

On March 31st 2011, My Daughter Shevon Ong Yi Xuan was born. She is very cute and very fun, With her birth, there is a new responsibilities on my Shoulders as well.

She likes to Smile and make faces.....

However she is currently very small and tiny. Only 2330 grams at time of birth.

I was introduced to the tarot Garden by Marie of France.

Italy has a Garden which is built on the theme tarot.

There are statues of Dragons in this case representing the lady taming it.... Strength card.

This is the Devil Statue. One of control and power. But bright and brillantly colorful.

It does not seem all that scary? It has many a colors and the 4 elements represented in the 4 different limbs?

Another Scary card..... death.... but bright and colorful.

Perhaps one day i would visit this tarot garden.
