In fact, we gave them a trip as they have done so much for us for the past 27/28 years and still on. Hence, these were captured in both Singapore and Malaysia.

Pulau Ubin, Singapore

2010-12-05T04:58:00.000-08:00

Pulau Ubin is the last (i think) 'kampung' (village) in Singapore. Locals say, it takes you back to Singapore in the 1960's with the simpler pleasures of life and not to mention the great sea food. We had to catch a ferry/boat from Changi ferry terminal to go to the island. It was a great day trip spent walking and cycling (05112010). (first and last shots captured through my Nexus one with effects all others from Sony H10 without effects or edits)

Singapore Botanic Gardens

2010-12-05T04:26:00.000-08:00

Visited Singapore Botanic Gardens on 16102010. Note that the squirrel is bit different from the Sri Lankan one (i feel this one is uglier than SL one). Hope you will enjoy!!

Nature in Bukit Batok, Singapore

2010-12-05T03:11:00.000-08:00

These were captured near the Bukit Batok reservoir on 02162010. This park was developed on an abandoned quarry site in 1988. The terrain is undulating and footpaths are meandering. The place is very suitable for a peaceful nature walk and the pond is a relic from the mining days of the region.

Singapore Zoo - 16022010

2010-12-05T02:46:00.000-08:00

Visited the Singapore zoo in the first quarter of this year and below are some of the shots taken from Sony H10.. The especial thing i have noticed there is that elephants are trained using Sinhala language (native language of Sri Lankans). Apparently, the reason is, the first elephant they brought to Singapore is from Sri Lanka and they are accustomed to use same language from that time.
hope you like them.. enjoy!!

Taste of the nature

2010-11-28T01:06:00.000-08:00

The intention of this blog is to publish my captures to the public. They can taste them and further commenting on them as well. I am using a Sony H10 for some time now and been thinking why i am not publishing my photographs for the others to taste them as well. So here is the first step. I believe that you would love them.
Do post some comments and / or criticize them.. so that i can improve on them.
Thanks and welcome!
