Before leaving for college, Destiny had pre-college jitters. She was afraid to leave the nest and anxious to leave her best friend, her Mom, behind. Even worse, Destiny’s grandmother had recently lost her battle with lung, lymphoid and brain cancer. Destiny and her Mom wanted to create a strong bond, to conquer their hardships, and to celebrate of their lives and friendship.

Destiny writes, “This isn't my first tattoo and it won't be my last, but I don't think I'll ever again sit in a chair for 3 hours enduring pain and feel nothing but relief.”

The tattoo contains many symbols. The crow saying, “birds of a feather flock together,” and showing crows as intelligent and adaptable, just like these two women. The moon is for a childrens book called “Guess How Much I Love You” that featured a favorite phrase for the mother and daughter, "I love you to the moon and back," and each wintery tree, represents their twisted personalities.

This is a great Mother-Daughter bond, great work Destiny. Each tattoo took three hours to complete.
