Off the Map Tattoo: A HUGE Thank you to everyone who came out for Tattoo Appreciation!

We'd like to extend a big thanks to everyone who came out to our Tattoo Appreciation party at Hugo's. It was probably our best turn out (and biggest bar tab for that matter) to date! We got to hang with some of our favorite tattoo clients and meet some future clients as well. We had so many awesome ideas for our best tattoo idea contest, for the first time ever we created a second and third place. Congrats to Amelia Jayne-Provencal RN who won a $250 gift certificate for first place for her skull nurse with syringe crossbones idea. Second place and a $100 gift certificate went to Carolyn Genereux for her purple bat in a gothic birdcage idea, and last but not least third place and a $50 gift certificate got snagged up by Julie Bodurtha for her "Gorgeous Ghouls" sleeve idea. We gave away tons of shirts and tattoo certificates all night, and we can't wait to see everyone come to the shop to start getting their awesome tattoo ideas. If you're kicking yourself for missing this month, no worries, we do it the third Thursday of every month! Next month we'll be home for the holidays and hosting the party right down the street from the shop at the Brass Cat. To celebrate the spirit of giving we'll be giving away gift certificates to every one who comes through the door! We look forward to having our first Holiday Tattoo Appreciation party and we hope to see all of you there! Thursday December 17th, 8pm @ Brass Cat in Easthampton. Jan. 15-17 Surf ink Tattoo Convention,Gold Coast,Australia. Jan.17th 1:00pm I'll be holding my "Let's Be Realistic" Seminar at Surf ink. Feb 26- 28 is the 15th Annual Motor City Tattoo Expo in Detroit, Michigan. March 19-21 is the Tattoo Ink Explosion in Moenchengladbach,Germany... Also will be holding a seminar at The Ink Explosion. In May i'll be at the New York City Tattoo Convention, actual dates aren't posted yet. Also in May is the Hell City convention in Ohio which will be May 21-23. June 11-13 Ink n Iron, Long Beach California.

Tattoo Conventions NOW has added tattoo convention listings for Northern Ink Exposure in Toronto and Southern Ink Exposure in Cape Town South Africa. Paul Booth and Bob Tyrrell are working both shows, and other TattooNOW artists include Paul Acker, Sean Herman, and Steve Peace. These conventions are run by the fellahs at Tattoos.com so you know they are a great time!

Compact Art "Creative Discs" is a new, unique, collective art project/show/book, done on compact discs. Many artists from all backgrounds will be participating in this project. Spirit Gallery LLC: Portrait Painting in Oils Class Starts Friday!

Portrait Painting in Oils is a three � part class with Blaze. We are excited to offer our first ever art class! This class will teach you how to transfer a reference image onto a prepared clayboard, and take participants through the painting process to end with a small 9�x12" portrait of themselves or a friend. It will be held on Friday evenings, Nov. 20th, Dec. 4th and Dec. 11th, from 6 � 9 pm. Participants will need to bring a basic paint palette, a set of paints, a glass jar with a closing lid for medium, and brushes. Spirit Gallery will supply the canvas board, medium, and transfer paper. Participants will take photos of each other on the first night of class which will be used for the paintings, or you may provide your own. Cost is $120. If you would like to observe the class, you are welcome! Blaze will be giving multiple demonstrations throughout the course of the workshop. Please join us and enjoy a Friday night out on the town!

So I have finally been able to get some new prints up in the merch section. They've been done for a bit and waiting patiently to leave my house. "Paradise Gnome", "Destroy", and "the Descent" are the new releases. Get these while you can. I'm only doing short runs from here on out. Also, all prints are now $40 each. Friday the 13th is back. As usual we will be doing thirteen dollar tattoos all day. Meaning from ten am till the wee hours of the morning we will be slaving away doing good tattoos for dirt cheap. Please keep in mind that you will have to select from a book that we have in the shop, we have included a variety of designs in order to keep everyone happy. Do not ask us to do anything that is not in the book. Please remember, 13 is unlucky, 7 is lucky, so in order to insure your good luck you should throw your artist a good seven dollar tip. We think this is very fair for the price of the tattoo. So come down and enjoy the madness.
