Tattoos and doodles

Butterfly wings

2013-03-17T19:00:00.000+01:00

Some butterfly wings with shadows. I don't know if such rendering would be possible in a tattoo (as white ink fades and all) but that could be interesting...

And here's an uglier but easier to copy version, if you need it.

Ornamental swirls

2013-02-24T19:00:00.000+01:00

Because of some trouble with the scanner I had to take a photo of the design. The result looks a bit like a pixels mush...
Two versions:

Hearts doodles

2013-02-10T19:00:00.000+01:00

Well, a friend asked me very kindly to make a st valentine related design this time ("Draw something with hearts for once goddammit or I'll make you eat a chocolate bar through your nostrils!"). With such friendly incentive, I obliged XD

Horns of Odin 2

2013-02-03T19:00:00.000+01:00

I'm not dead yet.
A slightly different version of the horns of Odin, in a bit simplified style.
(This is an old drawing, but I forgot to publish it before, heh.)

Cat looking at the sky

2012-12-02T19:00:00.000+01:00

I wanted to do a silhouette-thing again. Not sure that stuff could work as a tat, especially the yellow part that would probably not contrast enough on skin.

Snakes ring

2012-11-05T22:00:00.003+01:00

Not much found of the rendition of that one, even if I still like the idea.

Coffee and chocolate

2012-10-21T19:00:00.000+02:00

This is actually an old work from 2009 that I once posted onto a forum (but as far as I know, they pruned some forum threads and this one is gone, so I might as well put it here.)
I remember it took me ages, and it's quite scary to see my drawing skills haven't improved a bit, they almost got worse actually. *sigh*

Space slug

2012-10-01T19:00:00.000+02:00

"The hell is that thing?" - that was my though after drawing it. Sometimes weird stuff like that happens.

Gears and dragon

2012-09-16T19:00:00.000+02:00

A tiny bit of inspiration finally decided to visit me, with a clockwork dragon, or maybe I should call it a clockworm.
This one seems to be a mix of my previous "steamobouros" design and a bike chain/derailleur gears (I got the idea for it just after cleaning my bike chain :] )

Tribal celtic

2012-07-29T21:00:00.000+02:00

Trying to mix black tribal and celtic in a not too ugly way.

Colours!

2012-07-08T19:00:00.000+02:00

There was a bit too much black/grey/white lately...
I suppose this could be turned into a tat, minus the black background...

BTW, this is my 100th post here. Phew.

Dragon tattoo

2012-07-01T20:25:00.000+02:00

This one is a weird mix of style. The pose looks like some chinese dragons while the style is inspired by viking art, and the wing... hm... I don't know from where it comes.

Bio tribal something

2012-06-17T19:00:00.001+02:00

No posts for almost a month, I'm such a lousy blogger.
But I have excuses, I was sick for 2 weeks, then lazy one week :p

Triskele cloud

2012-05-20T19:00:00.000+02:00

Another of those "I have no idea so let's draw a triskele" moment. =p.

On a side note, some times ago I received a "final reminder to update (my) legacy blogger account", saying I couldn't access it after May 30th. I'm still wondering what they are talking about, as this blogger account does not seem to be "legacy", and I can't remember having any other account. I guess I received the message by mistake, but hopefully they won't close this blog by mistake... Ahem!

Snake knot

2012-05-06T19:00:00.000+02:00

Sometimes I wonder why I keep trying to colour things with pencils, as obviously my only talent is finding the worst colour schemes. Blue and orange-red seemed like a good idea, and now I think it just look weird. I added a black and white version which I prefer.

Lotus head

2012-04-22T19:00:00.000+02:00

I had once again no inspiration, I just planned to draw a lotus and was not motivated to do so. Then the idea of adding a black suit to it popped in my head, and somehow, that way I was motivated... Go figure.

Celtic knot stuff

2012-04-08T19:00:00.000+02:00

This was done quickly, that's probably with it's not very regular in shape. Oh well, even when I spent hours it's not much better :]

(Oh, and to the guy from hannalovinda.blogspot: I have no problem with you republishing some of my stuff, but at least keep the "This work by tattoos-and-doodles..." untouched. Rebloging it does not make it a "work by hannalovinda". Thank you :p )

Bio stuff...

2012-03-25T19:00:00.001+02:00

It started ok at the top, but I messed a bit the lower part, I think.

Owl tree

2012-03-12T00:28:00.000+01:00

This is the kind of random doodle that happens when I sit in front of a paper sheet with no idea, heh :)

Bird's-eye view

Silly pun title, once again.

Human skelworm

2012-02-05T19:00:00.001+01:00

After drawing this I had the feeling I already saw something similar somewhere, but was unable to find it. I guess it's just a mix of a human skull + an Alien-inspired tail, or something.

Water drop

2012-01-22T19:00:00.001+01:00

My scanner still believes than light green = yellow, so as always I had to struggle to get the colours right. :p
Coloured pencils (but the blue glow is digital). Maybe it can be seen as elements: water and earth.

Happy (belated) new year everyone! :)

I haven't looked at this website (or my associated email box) for ages, I thought that taking a big break would do me good. But I discover I still have very very few inspiration for "tatoo-able doodles". Argh.

Knot a dragon...

2011-12-11T19:00:00.001+01:00

Ugh, horrible pun. It only has 2 paws so it looks like a mix of snake and dragon, maybe... My previous attempts (of completely different drawings) were failures, so this final one was done in a rush as I was getting annoyed.
