Job Description: About the job

Growing and profitable Public Company needs to attract several
accountants to join their Corporate staff located in Greenwich, CT. Primary
responsibilities are:

• Develop, implement and/or maintain one or more accounting system

• Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules and
regulations

• Balance books and prepare profit and loss, cash flow, income and
balance sheet statements

• Monitor and develop monthly reports of revenue and expenditures for
projects

• Provide record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions

• Assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture,
track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the
Company revenue recognition policy

• Generate revenue reports for internal and external use

• Interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders

• Review, track and maintain billing information in the financial
systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U S GAAP and other accounting
regulations

• Provide documentation to auditors ( internal and KPMG)

• Conduct month end variance analysis

• Interpret fixed assets and inventory data

• Footnote disclosure support for 10Q and 10K purposes

Property Accountants will provide key support to the controller in the day-to-day management of the property and job cost accounting areas. Areas of participation will include transactional review, scheduling/planning and multiple levels of internal and external reporting.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Familiarize oneself with the new JD Edwards property management and general ledger systems, as well as underlying processes and procedures; evaluate the systems and organizational structures for operational effectiveness and consistency with best practices; recommend improvements as necessary.
• Assist in reviews of property budgets, CAM/Insurance/Property Tax reconciliations, CPI reconciliations and utility billings.
• Assist in overall resource management of the department, advocating prioritization of tasks and allocation of assignments.
• Perform or participate in performance dialogs for all staff in accounting including property accountants, A/R Specialists and development accountants.

Success Patterns:
1. Bachelors degree in business/accounting
2. 2 to 3 years accounting experience, real estate accounting experience preferred
