The journal of Ancient Science of Life from Medknow Publications has been added to PubMed Central. This is the oldest peer reviewed, Open Acees scientific journal in Ayurveda. Archive includes volume 1 (1981) to volume 30 (2011).

"In a 2010 survey, 44 percent of CIHR applicants and grantees said they were dissatisfied with the quality of peer-review decisions; 58 percent were dissatisfied with the consistency of the reviews. Researchers have also said that the peer-review system fails to adequately fund research from across CIHR disciplines and from new and evolving research areas. "The McGill Library is pleased to launch the Osler Library PrintsCollection, a searchable and browsable website of 2,500 visualdocuments related to the history of medicine, spanning severalcenturies, countries, and artistic media. Ranging from theseventeenth to the twentieth century, the collection consistspredominantly of prints, though it also includes some photographs,drawings, posters, and cartoons. Medical professionals throughouthistory are represented largely through portraiture, as well asthrough caricatures and scenes. APA PsycNet Free Trial

Library is running a free trial for APA PsycNet. You have the opportunity to evaluate this interface, compared to the ProQuest interface, for PsycARTICLES, PsycINFO, PsycBOOKS, and PsycCRITIQUES. The trial runs for 60 days - starting January 16 until February 28.

The APA PsycNet trial is now available via keyword search in the library catalogue or on the Databases by title list, under A http://www.lib.uwo.ca/databases

From EBSCO Publishing:

"Skyscape now supports the installation of DynaMed on up to up to five devices of the same operating system. For example, if you have registered DynaMed on your iPhone, you can install it to your iPad using the same serial number. When you install Skyscape/DynaMed on the iPad, all of the resources that were registered to your iPhone are automatically installed. This behavior will also apply to the Android and BlackBerry platforms.

The maintenance of switching/adding devices is handled through the My Accountpage on http://www.skyscape.com. If you want to have the product installed on a sixth device, you will need to deactivate the subscription from one of the other five devices. You are able to do this from the My Accountpage."
