This week we are proud to present a great mix from Florida-based DJ Heliograph. This mix entitled “End Season” conveys the bittersweet feeling that comes with the end of the summer season with a track selection that is fun and wistfulat the same time. In the new Zero.Eight series that i have started doing this collection of progressive house is a very positive and ethereal mix. I’ve tried to encapsulate a progressive series that is on the verge of trance. Very chilling, hope you enjoy.

Solarity is on a label called Morphosis Records that is based in Hungary but i have been listening to a lot of their tracks at the moment. They are a very good progressive house and breaks label with some great names from around Eastern Europe. The music is sublime though, very futuristic sounding synth house. My favourite artists on the label are Mango, Solarity and Alex Rize. You can hear excerpts from their releases here.

I’ve been itching to do a good breakbeat mix in ages and finally i got a selection of some of my favourite recent tracks. It’s full of electro breaks fully inspired from synth pop and UK breaks. Plump DJs, NAPT, Slyde, Maelstrom and many more…

Driving mix that gets going right from the start with dirty little Drumattic Twins remix of Makossa by Maelstrom, then 4 Seconds by DJ Fixx with great use of Justin Timberlake samples (tricky medium), the harsh electronic Torque of the Devil by Plump DJs, some great Slyde and NAPT tracks ending on the brilliant Break Me (Quest vs Pyramid Remix) by Quest & Odissi. We are proud to introduce the first mix from the new project by Dan Clarke. The new guise of Cloverfield allows him to express the darker shades of his musical palette. The first in his promo mix series has his usual excellent progressional structuring of sublime tracks from the underground with a tint of darkness encapsulating the mix.

Why Cloverfield?

I’d love there to be a deep and meaningful reason, but the truth is it’s just loosely related to me having Irish roots. In fact i didn’t even come up with the name, my friend Lee did, and i liked it so i stuck with it. I suppose it was also a bit of an excuse for me to be able to give myself a bit of a persona, and make it easier to brand myself in a cool way.

Whats your favourite track from the mix and why?

Harpa V because its got a really dramatic build up with a riff full of attitude. Perfect finish to the set.

Here is a great video i found on College Humor but later found out that its called Toejam by The BPA Featuring David Byrne & Dizzie Rascal. You might recognise the cheerful style of Norman Cook, and you would be right in that assumption. The Brighton Port Authority is a new project by Fat Boy Slim and this track is out to download via their MySpace on 7th July 2008, album coming later in the year.

This is a another great mix by Dan Clarke with lots of lush tech house tracks. It was inspired by the bustling streets of Tokyo and how they contrast with the zen gardens just outside of the city. These parallels are brought to life in the music as progressive and tech house tracks take you through a wave pattern. There are highs and very relaxing lower energy melodies.

It’s a mix that i love and hope you do to. Enjoy.

The mix starts with a no fuss funky electro track by Indicant which mixes in the beautiful Starstrings by Jody Wisternoff. Starstrings is my favourite track on this mix, i just can’t stop listening to it. Then we start going deeper into tracks from the Ananda Project and LauW. Electro mentality from Pete Van Riot leads you into a great Touvan Remix of Lucky Fish by Sergej Fresh. Finally the mix is rounded off with a Luke Fair Remix of Virus by Satoshi Tomiie and a Tiger Stripes Remix of the Dennis Ferrer track P 2 Da J.

Tokyo Beats 1.0

Mainstay resident of the Underground Music Podcast, Dan Clarke, will be producing a longer mix inspired by the capital city of technology Tokyo, Japan. This deep mix from DC is a voyage through the night scenes in Shibuya through interpretive selections of western progressive and tech house. Coming in two weeks.

To celebrate Midsummer i have decided to do a series of mixes that should help you enjoy the Summer Solstice through some great music. This first mix is a very calm collection of the more relaxing side of electronic music, i’ve made it to enjoy outside in the beauty of nature. Here we have the second in the series of Ableton Live house music mixes from Dan Clarke. This newest installment is a great blend of tech house and deep house thats definitely sexual in nature. Be warned there is some VERY risqué language in this mix.

After a long wait, I have finally produced a mix myself! After listening to some of 2600 Records great new releases i was inspired to produce this relaxed night time tech house mix that i’ve been listening to non-stop for the last week. The tracks are minimal but really uplifting and great to listen to.

2600 Records is a sublabel of Night Drive Music. NIGHT DRIVE MUSIC is a label from the shores of East-Germany located in a very old city in the near of the Baltic sea. This are Labels for everyone who loves deep and kickin techno, deephouse, minimal, dubrhythms, grooving elements and melodies - definitely dancing music. It’s an excellent example of today’s true underground innovation.

In January 2004, they released their first vinyl-ep. In 2005 they started to sell the releases also in the digital way. They are working with well known international acts and unknown producers as well. They are a network of people who love electronic music, keep contact with each other and being a force against the bad music on this planet. In the last few years they got amazing support from worlds best DJs and producers and you can find their tunes on compilations and playlists around the world.

Mixed by Dan Clarke

In warm anticipation of the complete relaunch of Tboy’s Tea Time here is the first of several mixes by Dan Clarke, a progressive and electro house DJ with a deep mix incorporating nu skool breaks, tech house and a sumptuous helping of progressive beats. This truly is an awe inspiring mix thats starts off in very subtle form building to a crescendo at the end with Sunrise by Chab.

Dan Clarke works entirely using Ableton live for his mixes, live appearances and productions. Until recently he was playing out regularly at a night called Resurrection at Evolution Lounge in Blackburn, producing and remixing back-to-back on Ableton and CDJs with Lee Demain.
