Keenan “The Cobra” Cornelius of Team Lloyd Irvin Camp Springs had an incredible showing. His slick jiu jitsu was able to earn him coveted “double-shwubble” or the Double-Gold, winning both his Purple belt middle weight division and the Purple belt Absolute!

Willie Leonard of Camp Springs wins the 2012 European Brown Belt Ultra Heavyweight Champion winning all of his matches by submission, closing the finals out with a Clock Choke. In the open division he ends up with the bronze after defeating 4 of his opponents.

Nyjah Easton of Team Lloyd Irvin- Camp Springs, to no surprise, has an impressive showing winning the the 2012 European Womens Brown Belt Pluma Division and taking home the bronze medal in the absolute.

At The Black Belt Level

JT “The Spiderman” Torres takes home the silver medal in the lightweight division.

Overall the women of Team Lloyd Irvin placed 2nd with only 4 competitors.

The American Blue belts win the Team Contest

The Lloyd Irvin representatives included: Joey Ruggiero from Third Law, Al Washington and Devon Delbrugge from Crazy 88, and Eric Desmaris from Paramont BJJ. They were joined by a grappler from Rafael Lovato’s school named Dallas.

In a team of 5 Americans, 4 were from Team Lloyd Irvin, fight to see which country brought the best blue belts to do battle. The Americans fought four rounds and won the gold in the Team Event.
