This site is going to go through some changes within the next few months. I have interesting plans that will take some time to work through. I may start a new life-blog titled Struggling in Portland, OR I'm still testing content for such an idea.

But I have started updating my other site Humor as Art . A site I'm using to catalog existing web examples of humor in art or creative uses of humor which makes it art.

Thank you to everyone who watched and read the entries that Team Northern Tier 2007 compiled while riding our bicycles across the country. It was a tremendous test of endurance and commitment that I'm happy to say we completed.

An Awful Welcome

Within a half hour of arriving into our final destination, Portland Oregon, my bicycle (not including the bags) was stolen.

I foolishly left it unattended for exactly five minutes outside the house Mike and I are staying at. All we had was an eye witness account of where he rode off to. We attempted to hunt down the thief minutes after the theft to no avail.

All attempts within the biking and law enforcement community have been taken into action. My fingers are not crossed for getting this bike back.

I guess when I'm done riding, I'm really done riding.

The good news is we're staying with a great group of guys who have welcomed us arms extended. Another instance where a road block is softened by the company of fantastic people.

This is the idea - we'll use Google Maps as a visual reference marker to our online content. Click on a placemarker and you will be instantly linked to the video and journal content released and unreleased. After the trip, I plan to map out the exact route using Google's new drag and drop route feature.
