Parineeti Chopra's Latest Update

Alia and I went on 'Koffee With Karan' to prove we are friends

bhery.007@gmail.com (Unknown) — Fri, 7 Feb 2014 18:17:00 +0530

Parineeti Chopra and Alia Bhatt will soon be seen together on filmmaker Karan Johar's "Koffee with Karan" show and the former says that they have agreed to come together to bury all rumours of a tiff between them.

"We actually went on the show to tell everyone that there is no problem between us. She has been my friend even before (her) 'Student of the Year' released and nothing has changed between us," the 25-year-old Parineeti said at a press meet Thursday for her film "Hasee Toh Phasee" that released Friday.

Alia and I went on 'Koffee With Karan' to prove we are friends: Parineeti

Alia had earlier came on the show with actors Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan where she adviced Parineeti to take some help for her dressing style.

Parineeti has no problems with her suggestion.

"She had genuinely like a friend said that Parineeti should be careful about her dressing style. We wanted to tell everyone there is no problem between us and that's why we went on that couch," she added.

Hasee Toh Phasee Review

bhery.007@gmail.com (Unknown) — Fri, 7 Feb 2014 17:03:00 +0530

Here is the movie review for Hasee Toh Phasee. Watch this space for more updates.

Ratings:4/5 Review By:Meena Iyer Site: Times of India

Hasee Toh Phasee is for the romantics who like their martinis stirred not shaken. This romantic comedy mirrors the quirks in human nature subtly and provides humour in everyday situations; in the family and amongst friends. If you're looking to rediscover the magic of goofy love around Valentines, give HTP a shot. You may not like this film if you are a die-hard romantic who only subscribes to Bollywood formula.

Ratings:-- Review By: Raedita Tandan Site:Filmfare

This quirky rom-com is packed with chaos, drama and ample laughs. And its USP lies in the vibe and chemistry that the lead actors share, making it likable and a very attractive young romance. The final verdict: HTP is one of the most refreshing boy-meets-girl films to have been made in recent times. So go watch this zany, new-age date movie. This is one date you won’t regret.

Ratings:3/5 Review By:Rahul Desai Site:Mumbai Mirror

'Hasee Toh Phasee' is a bedheady romantic comedy that is a bit long and has two climaxes- both of which could have overlapped, in my opinion. Nevertheless, Parineeti as Meeta is one for the ages; she is the powering force behind a well-mounted film which, for most of its 141 minutes, is a timely shot in the arm for a traditionally mishandled genre.

Ratings:3/5 Review By:Suhani Singh Site:India Today

Hasee Toh Phasee is a refreshing, much-needed entry in the contemporary romcom genre, which has lately seen a series of uninspiring films. Teenage girls are likely to warm up to his loveable loser act. But Parineeti steals the show, making outrageous faces and giving longing looks. She cries with such conviction that you really want to give her a hug.

On the whole, HASEE TOH PHASEE is a bright-and-breezy, charming and refreshing rom-com that makes you smile, laugh and gets you moist-eyed at regular intervals. A qualitative film that warms the cockles of your heart. Go for it!

The background is a sunnier version of Monsoon Wedding (without vile uncles lurking of course), but Mathew does a good job of restraining the madness. Watch this if you want to see a love story with lovers that are not squeaky clean.

HASEE TOH PHASEE is gorgeously filmed and has the required finesse. On the whole, HASEE TOH PHASEE is a bright-and-breezy, charming and refreshing rom-com that makes you smile, laugh and gets you moist-eyed at regular intervals. A qualitative film that warms the cockles of your heart. Go for it!

Rating:/ Review By:Sweta Kaushal Site:Hindustan Times

Hasee Toh Phasee is a fresh and smart romantic story that defies stereotypes at several related stories. There is no extra-melodrama, yet the movie is emotional. There are no crass jokes, yet it is humourous and to top it all, there are no love making scenes, yet the movie defines romance it its own style! It is an experimental rom-com that should not be missed.

Ratings:2/5 Review By:Shubhra Gupta Site: The Indian Express

‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ seems to have everything going for it. The smart, varying sensibilities of co-producers Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap, a likeable leading man, and a crackerjack heroine. What it doesn’t have is a coherent story, and that’s why none of the refreshing bits add up.

Ratings:2/5 Review By:Dainik Bhaskar Site:Daily Bhaskar

The only interesting part in the story is Parineeti’s acting. In fact, it’s her film all the way, and she is the hero of the film. All other characters, including Sidharth, are just seen complementing her in the movie. If you have been waiting for a Parineeti and Sidharth’s film, then book your tickets. Also, if you are not expecting much, and looking forward to just pass your time, go for Hasee Toh Phasee.

Ratings:4/5 Review By:Saurabh Dwivedi Site:India Today

Director Vinil Mathew never let the story lose track. Not that scenes highlighting relationships - always tricky - were lost either. Anurag Kashyap did a good job with the dialgoues. Vishal and Shekhar's music is worth a listen. I would suggest that you do not miss the film. It's entertaining, youthful, refreshing.

Ratings:2.5/5 Review By:Saibal Chatterjee Site:NDTV

True to the norms of Bollywood love triangles, Hasee Toh Phasee has more than its share of departures and homecomings, of abrupt partings and dramatic reunions. So what if some of them appear to be merrily arbitrary? If you do not let the occasional lapses in logic get in the way, you might actually find yourself enjoying the film. Do check it out.

Ratings:4/5 Review By:Subhash K Jha Site:IANS

No matter how you look at it, the film and every rich resplendent moment in it, belongs to Parineeti Chopra. She irons out all the rough spots in the storytelling, hides all the wrinkles in the jaded plot and makes her character seem far more empathetic than it would have been in a lesser actress' hands. Yup, if the film gets your undivided attention it's because Parineeti won't let us look away.

Ratings:3/5 Review By:Mohar Basu Site:Koimoi

The film is both pleasantly surprising and utterly baffling in equal amounts. Though Vinil Mathew’s direction might not be perfect due to his lack of experience, Hasee Toh Phasee will definitely win your heart for the symbiotically arranged, pitch perfect chemistry of Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra. It was passionate and compelling, almost to make me wish that they were a real life couple and that alone becomes thew winning shot. Though Parineeti walks away with the thunder for her stellar performance, the film works primarily and mostly because it is so refreshingly lovable.

Ratings:3/5 Review By:Aparna Mudi Site:Zee News

Don`t go for the movie if you are expecting a candy-floss romance. This movie is quirky and breaks some stereotypes. Parineeti`s performance is adorable and definitely a great plus point for the movie. Even though it is just a one time watch, this definitely makes a great valentines date. Take your girlfriend or spouse out for this movie and cosy up with a tub of pop corn for a not-so-typical romance.

Ratings:3/5 Review By:Tushar Joshi Site:DNA India

Watch it if you want to see a different take on modern day romance. Hasee Toh Phasee is worth a watch for a solid act put together by its lead pair.

Parineeti Chopra turns sexy for Dabboo Ratnani's calendar In his calendar B-Town's fave lensman Dabboo Ratnani has presented her in a never-seen-before avatar. his is the first time Parineeti Chopra has featured in Dabboo’s annual calendar. The lensman has with one shot made the YRF girl look sexy. “No one has ever shot her like this, either in films or photographs. She has always come across as tomboyish, more fun and peppy rather than sensuous. She was initially apprehensive about whether she could pull it off and worried about people’s reaction,” he says.

However, the photographer, who has shot all the Bollywood A-listers convinced her. “I told her not to worry and just give a beautiful shot. She agreed and went along with my idea, and the result is beautiful. There’s not much skin show, neither it is in-your-face-sexy. I could have had her smiling and made it a wild, fun shot, but I wanted to keep it in the sensuous zone,” he says.

Aamir To Launch Kill Dil’s Trailer; Gives P.K Crew A Diwali Break

bhery.007@gmail.com (Unknown) — Mon, 25 Nov 2013 09:00:00 +0530

Aamir Khan seems to have built a strong bond with Aditya Chopra so much so that the actor is all set to launch the trailer of YRF’s upcoming romantic comedy named Kill Dil. The film’s trailer is all set to be launched on October 30th. Directed by Shaad Ali, the film stars Parineeti Chopra and Ranveer Singh, along with Ali Zafar in lead roles. A leading daily informed that Aditya had sent the trailer to Aamir for his feedback and Khan has been closely involved with the trailer of the film. Aamir Khan was so keen on the launch event that the actor requested Rajkumar Hirani to wrap up the schedule of P.K at the earliest so that he can make it on time to city for the trailer launch. In fact, Aamir had to work overtime on P.K in completing the schedule so that reaches the city for the event! Interestingly, the Kill Dil break has worked well for the crew of P.K, who got an unexpected time off ahead of the festive season for Aamir’s involvement in the Kill Dil trailer launch. The film’s next schedule will now be shot only after Diwali.

New Look of Parineeti Chopra in Pantene ad

bhery.007@gmail.com (Unknown) — Sun, 17 Nov 2013 17:11:00 +0530

After Katrina and Shilpa, it’s Parineeti who advocates the goodness of Pantene’s damage care shampoo. In the new ad for Pantene Damage Care shampoo Parineeti speaks of Damaged to Damn Good hair.

With life becoming hectic it is quite difficult for working women and young college students to take good care of their hairs which undergo the daily attacks of free radicals and pollutants. Parineeti acts as a spokesperson for the youth who have limited time in hand to cure the damage done to their hair.

Pantene is one company which has emphasised on repairing of damaged hair with a shampoo rather than oil. The shampoo claims to cleanse the hair and scalp without drying it. The shampoo restores the essential proteins by creating a protective shield which protects each strand of hair by preventing the loss of nutrition. It removes split ends and arrests the progression of further damage. The effect of the shampoo is hinted in the tag line – Damaged to Damn Good.

The shampoo has already been launched and is available in the market at a reasonable price. A bottle of 180ml is available for Rs120 and 340 ml for Rs210.

The advert also throws a challenge to the users. If they can bring proof of Pantene’s success in repairing their damaged hair they will be seen in the next ad of Pantene with the chirpy Parineeti Chopra. see more pics @ http://photo-gallery-pc.blogspot.com/

Faisal, who has also written the story remained tight-lipped about the project. "I wouldn't want to talk about the film, because it's too early. The idea of giving a unique title is to intrigue people and trigger some curiosity, which is quite evident from the response it has generated.

Fashion Focus on Miss Congeniality Vogue Cover Story

"I don't think I am the best-looking girl. But [Manish Sharma] looked at me and thought I could act. I am indebted to him for life."

After playing the lead in Ishaqzaade, Chopra went on to shine in Sharma's next film, too -- Shuddh Desi Romance (2013) opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and Vaani Kapoor. She holds one bit of advice from cousin Priyanka Chopra close to her heart.

"She said, 'Everybody in this industry will tell you what you should do, how you should look, what you should wear...Don't listen to anyone. Just do what comes naturally to you and you will find your audience'…And, touch wood, I've succeeded. I know I have to get more in shape and keep up with fashion but that will come with time. I don't have to be a ready package."

Judging from the filmmakers who are scrambling to cast her, no one minds the package. She's currently filming Karan Johar's Hasee Toh Phasee, then there's Habib Faisal's next and Shaad Ali's Kill Dil. What we love the most? She doesn't take herself too seriously.

"Acting is not do-or-die for me. I'm not the kind who fights with other actors to get the better role," she says. But then, who would want to pick a fight with a bag of smiles? Source http://www.vogue.in

What increase the sex quotient of the film?

bhery.007@gmail.com (Unknown) — Sun, 13 Oct 2013 18:02:00 +0530

You have done intimate scenes in both Ishaqzaade and Shuddh Desi Romance. How comfortable are you doing such scenes?

I will never do a film where they say: ‘Yaar cheezein boring ho rahi hain; let’s increase the sex quotient of the film. Ek kissing scene daal dete hain R10 crore ka business aur bada dete hain.’ But both my films have not been like that. In Ishaqzaade the crux of the film was that the boy rapes her and she takes revenge, if you don’t show the scene, then how do you explain the character? And in this film, Sushant was required to be physically intimate with me and Vaani for the conflict. Why should I go kissing everybody? I will only do it if it’s important to the story.

Are you open to the idea of a live-in relationship?

It depends. Right now, I am single but if I have a man in my life and if I feel it is okay at that time and if my family is okay, then why not?

"I don’t think kissing, premarital sex, live-in relationship are bold"

bhery.007@gmail.com (Unknown) — Sun, 6 Oct 2013 00:09:00 +0530

There has been a one-and-a-half year gap between Ishaqzaade and Shuddh Desi Romance. Was it a deliberate attempt to take things slow?

No, it wasn’t. But for some time I stopped signing movies as I wasn’t getting any interesting offers. Ishaqzaade released in May while I signed Shuddh Desi Romance in January. I was only getting roles which were similar to Ishaqzaade but I wanted to do something different. Now suddenly I have signed so many films together.

Is being a Yash Raj girl an advantage or a responsibility?

It’s a mutual relationship. They cast me because I am right for the role and I am working with them because they are the best production house. The directors are amazing, you get awesome roles and you have so much fun while shooting.

Would you call your character in Shuddh Desi Romance bold?

Actually, she is not bold at all, she is very real. I don’t think kissing, premarital sex, live-in are bold; they are just very real. They happen. Whether you are in a live-in relationship or not has nothing to do with premarital sex. You don’t have to live together to have sex. According to me, the only bold thing that I’ve done is smoking a cigarette in the movie because for me smoking is wrong.

Shahrukh Khan led Nine Actresses at Ramp on Yashji`s 81st B`day

bhery.007@gmail.com (Unknown) — Wed, 2 Oct 2013 17:50:00 +0530

Rekha, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Parineeti Chopra were the nine actresses who sashayed down the ramp on Yash ji’s 81st birthday. Needless to say, king Shah Rukh Khan led them all.

While all nine looked picture perfect, we couldn’t miss two actresses who otherwise fit may have forgotten to tuck in their belly bulges.

We are talking about Katrina Kaif and Parineeti Chopra. Decked in gorgeous lehengas and attractive accessories, the two made heads turn in their deep halter-neck blouses.

While the duo may have swayed down the ramp like hot-shot models, they seemed to have forgotten where their midriff is going in the process.
Dailybhaskar.com spotted visible bulges around their otherwise slender waists.

"Heroines took the ramp to give respect to the legendary film maker".
