Samuel James Taye arrived Tuesday November 6th at 6:40 PM! Things happened pretty fast (we checked in to the hospital at 6:23). He weighed in at 8 pounds 15 ounces, and 20 inches long. Mom and baby are both doing very well, in fact they were able to come home on Wednesday.

Abi and Max are very excited to have a new baby brother and enjoy holding, patting, and kissing him. Grandmama Hodges in town to see Samuel and help out, and we just got back from a kid-thrilling, treat-filled visit to Coscto. Here are some pictures of the little guy:

Abi and Max were jumping back and forth from the couch to a chair, over a potted plant. I caught Max at the last minute as he fell headfirst towards the floor...

Recently Amy and I took a trip to Vietnam; Amy was going for work, I tagged along for fun. It was a great trip! We were in Hanoi most of the time, but we also spent a few days in the very scenic Halong Bay area.

Amy had a number of meetings to attend in both Hanoi and Halong, but we had some time to explore. My favorite part of the trip was the boat tour of Halong Bay.

Thanks to the HSPI folks in Vietnam for being such gracious hosts! And thanks to our parents for coming to take care of the kids while we were on the other side of the planet!
