We wish to tell all our readers that we are going to have more stuffs going on the blog and also Facebook. We've been very dormant for the past 2 years or so and clocking only 3 posts back in 2010. We've been using Facebook so much that we totally didn't manage our blog as its a tedious thing to maintain. Now that blogger is easier to manage, we are able to maintain our page easily and hopefully more updates and adventures will be posted. We hope many of you can share with us your experiences about anything under the sun. The New Year date also changes every year as the Islamic Calendar is 11 days shorter than the solar calendar. Maal Hijra or Islamic New Year is celebrated on the first day of Muharram (first Islamic month). The word Muharram also means respect. It is more of a cultural event than a New Year celebration. People welcome the New Year with peace and prayers.

*Before we begin, just a note. We do not have any photos. So sorry about that but I`m sure people at SGFX and SGHC has tonnes of photos and cool videos of the outing but basically here, all we have are descriptive text. Thank You =)

If you ever been to Sembawang park along its main road on to your right you will see tonnes of old Malay street names but admist that there is a singular street that has a British name called Ändrews road. Makes it easy for us to memorise as we are avid anglers ourselves. This road will lead off to Jalan Selimang and ends by the park connector & Bottle Tree restaurant sembawang. Along Andrews road, you will pass by a mosque called Masjid Kampong Wak Hassan there are many urban legends & rumours surrounding these area.

As I`ve mentioned before anglers including ourselves usually frequent these spots to fish & set bentos for crab catching. Bento is the Malay name for a unique trap design to catch crabs. Admist the local anglers there there have been many stories of them having sighthings of the so called pontianak flying from one tree to another and these area use to be a Malay village where team member Fazly have desribed that his mother use to live around these area and in particular every Thursday night, they will hear pontiank scratching on the roof of the mosque while whorshippers are performing their prayers or reciting verses from the holy Quran but alas our team have never encountred any such sightings or events yet!

SGFX & SGHC have their own outing objectives but our team's objective is to learn more about the history of Kampong Wak Hassan or whats left of it. Laptops with no display, cannot be switched on or need to have their motherboard replace can be fixed by him. Usually in most cases service centers for any brand charge around S$750-$800 to change a new mother board. He`ll be able to replace your motherboard with half of the price or less. Its rather cheap considering if your warranty has run out. He does both laptops and desktop repairs as well at extremely low prices e.g In-house desktop troubleshooting only at $25 house call troubleshooting at $50, outside rates are $40/minimum of $80. Reliable and trustworthy You can contact him via mr_seow@hotmail.com or can contact me at ragnorak_85@hotmail.com for any arrangements.Sorry in singapore onli ^^
Well this statement speaks for itself. Would a professional make a racist remark like this? I`m pretty sure that the team itself are not full of downliners like him who doesn`t know a thing but speaks too much. I believe that they are a professional group and so are S.P.I and SGfReaky Links but its people like him that tarnished their group reputations of being professional.
Anyway Supernatural dot com dot sg ( sorry guys can`t give you free backlinks if your mean!) has only been around recently the website that is. Most probably our blog has been aroung way longer. Proof?
This email was written and sent to a local radio DJ who hosts a late night show on the local airwaves where listeners can call, text or email in and share their experiences and paranormal activities.

Hi KC,

I was reading blog PujanggaMalam and decided to post up a link to an entry in my blog with regards to something that I caught on camera. So he had asked me to share with you this photo. It was sometime last year (based on the date of photo is 12 Jan'08) that I had gone out with my brother and friends. We had driven up to Upper Pierce Reservoir (i think) to chill out at the lighthouse. There were 5 cars in total. We were there for about 1/2 hour. So tempat tu was pretty dark at the car park area.

When we were about to leave the premises, we realised that 3 out of the 5 cars were mysteriously scratched. So I was taking pictures of all the vehicles that got scratched (alhamdulilah, my car wasn't one of them). Basically both my car and the other car yg tak kena scratched provided lights to the 3 scratched cars while we waited for the police to arrive. So with my boyfriend's Nokia N95, i began my job of taking photographs of all the scratches i could find on the 3 cars. So while i was snapping photographs of the top of the red car, which was facing my car and the other unscratched car, tergerak hati tak nak tengok the gambar after it was taken. Maklum lah, tempat tu gelap giler, and i had a gut feeling that i might see something that i dont want to, as a result.

A couple of days passed. My boyfriend then told me that he was looking at the photos in his phone one night when he decided to zoom into all the pictures. That was when he spotted the straight white figure next to the headlights. So when i took a look at the photographs, nak ckp it was part of the lampu, tak jugak. Nak cakap org (coz my abg punya tunang had been standing there and had moved just before i took the photo), pun bukan jugak coz my abg punya tunang ikat rambut at that time. But we did make a joke out of the picture. Hantu pakai seluar. Mcm tau je dier nak terbang. haha... By the way, I have not done any editing on the photograph. Neither did my boyfriend. I had bluetoothed it from his handphone. Yg lagi satu gambar (the collage) I had edited to form a collage so that you guys can see how badly the cars were scratched.

P/s: sorry email ni mainly in English.

Thanks KC! (",)

The email is written in the local slang called singlish. Its a mixture of English with the local dialects that comprises of malay + hokkien + tamil + other unique languages= singlish. Basically the writer just wanted to let the host know that she was hanging out at Upper Pierce Reservoir with her boyfriends and her "cliques". Apparently their 3 out of 5 of their car were scratched unknowingly. While waiting for the arrival of the police to lodged and official report the writer was busy snapping photos of the evidence apparently for insurance purposes I assume. Then after careful analysis of the photo it appears there was a white lady ghostly apparition in one their photos as seen below. On closer view it makes one wonder if it was just a reflection from the headlights. We cannot rule out that there is a big possibility in this scenario. Maybe the writer was just eager to put the blame on the pontianak but then again it might be really "HER"

Upper pierce reservoir is secluded and is only accessible if you have your own transportation and it is usually a lovers dent but there have been few occasion of pontianak sightings and suicide cases of self-drowning in the reservoir itself. Team TkCk had visited the place once to run some investigation but the results were not promising enough.
Well it took long enough for me to get this post up. As mentioned in an earlier post I`m bashed with lots of work and hope my comrades in Singapore are doing their part as well. Here's my share of our investigation. Me and the honorary Team TkCk member Syaiful(house and course mate) went to investigate this infamous on house campus which was located quite a distance from campus. Which begs a question, "on house campus"?. Let me first explain that the on house campus are like "kampong houses" and are divided into 2 segregation. The first lot are located very near to the campus premises where you can walk to your classes and lectures whereas the 2nd portion are located in the horticultural fields.

The houses that are located in the horticultural fields are spaced very far apart to give a general idea it takes about 10-15 minutes on foot from one house to another. The nearest one to any lecture halls will take at least 35 minutes walk the furthest would probably take about an hour. So imagine how big my campus premises are including all the research fields.

Anyway I will divide this post into 2 parts the first being our exploration into the infamous house in the horticultural fields and on the next part will be on the abandon cemetery and the other abandon house.

Syaiful and I left our house in Gatton town in the midst of on going thunderstorm in the next town called Laidley. As if the weather is even kinder to us too add to the already eerily moonless and dark night. To give a general idea of how dark it was, only when a ligthning broke across the sky can we see at least a hundred meter ahead of us even when we were using High beams. Well for my Singaporeans friends, yes the roads are not lit at night unlike back home to make matters worse, wombats, roos, hares, koalas and wallaby might cross your path. When that happens only 2 things can occur, its too late too avoid and you rammed it head on increasing the chance of damaging your vehicle and believe me its like hitting a rock! 2nd scenario is where you will manage to avoid it but increasing your chances of getting into an accident. So you need a fair bit of skill driving at night on the outback roads. If you are telling yourself"well if it was me, I would have jammed brake", well guess what? You won`t have time when your travelling at 80-100km/h trust me on this!

We arrived on the campus shortly, the thing that worries me the most was the rounds that the security will be making on the rovers but we crossed our fingers and pushed on.This was the first time for Syaiful to go on this kind of exploration but I`m not too bothered as he was an Army Officer during his NS days.I`m pretty sure he can hold his own ground, if not? Well I didn't plan that far, because I just took his word that he`s okay with this kind off trip.

We arrived soon after driving through the campus grounds, passing the research fields and entering the horticultural fields. We never really recce the place at night and it was our first visit during such conditions and true enough we missed it and drove all the way to the mid area of the horticultural fields before we realize that we have drove too far. Funny isn`t it that we knew where the house was located but in the night it was neatly hidden amongst the tall shrubs and dead trees camouflaging it totally! We almost missed it again on our 2nd bypass as well but we manage to reconfirmed our grounds before we went too far.

A little history background on the place. The house is a Queenslander house meaning it was built on stilts of wooden beam which is very similar to the design of our "kampong houses". This particular design approach was adopted by the people living in Queensland because of the climate. Queensland weather patterns and climate are more or less similar to Singapore and Malaysia in most parts, therefore they are subject to flooding so, the practicality of adopting such designs in the olden days were justifiable.

This particular on house campus that we were investigating has many mystery and rumours shrouding it.Till today, the campus management has not leased or rent it out to anyone anymore and as it seems it will stay that way. Here`s some of the stories that I have heard from seniors about the house, it was said that a girl had committed suicide in the house due to stress which I find it hard to swallow but supposings after that they didn't lease the house out for sometime up until few years back.

They re-release the house for rent but surprisingly none of its tenant ever lasted a whole week in the house. When I interviewed one of its past tenant a senior of mine whose from Malaysia. He said that he lived in the house for 3 days when he first came. He got the house after applying for permanent lodgings but within the next 3 days he felt very uneasy as though there was a small girl moving across room to room.Wearing white garments with a blonde hair he usually noticed it at the corner of his eyes. When he turned there was no one in the house or the rooms. He related that when night comes the atmosphere worsen. He felt as though eyes were staring at him till he dared not switch any of the light in the house on the 2nd night. He kept telling himself to shrug it off as it was just his imagination toying with him and then on the 3rd day as he was talking to another senior at that time. He was asked where he was staying and thus the story unfolded. He was shock to learned that a girl had committed suicide there and he was the first tenant to re-occupy the house after that incident. He quickly got back and repacked his belongings and shifted out that very day.He related that after him, he heard there were also some international students that stayed over at that particular house but none lasted past a week.

I never got the chance to talk to any of them as most of them have graduated and went back to their own countries. Stories began to circulate around the campus and soon no one wanted to even rent the place and thus the house has been emptied since then and till today. Stories of how tenants that were living further in the horticultural fields saw the lights in the house were switched on after they were emptied for several months. They also claimed to have saw a shadow of a person, as the drove past the house at night. The rumours that began circulating furthered deepen the impression of the house being haunted.

As we drove in the cramped driveway towards the house we were shocked to see that the grass were as tall as the car.It was impossible for us to us to get to the stairs. We were first afraid of the snakes that might be lurking and secondly we dared not drove further in as it would be the worst possible situation to get the car stuck in some potholes or soft ground. We drove as close as we could to the house and parked it while taking a few snapshots. I personally was pumped up and it was a big disappointment not to be able to explore the inner parts of the house. The thoughts racing through my mind was to go against my better judgement and just bash through. The stair seems so close yet so far but as soon as I opened the car door, I understand of the risk I would have been taking. So we ended up just taking the photos of the house from the our car. I`m sorry guys but it was really a big disappointing outing!

As you can see I have a few friends living on other on house campuses and there are some others that are vacant but yet still fully frunished. They will usually be occupied 1-2 weeks of before the start of the semester but perhaps you can`t see clearly from the picture the house is not furnished at all. It is bare, meaning to say the management has no more intention of leasing or renting it out anymore. I wonder why??? Below are the few snapshots we managed to get hold off, I cannot come to a conclusion because this investigation is still incomplete.

Have a look at the pictures I have posted below!
Forty years later one revealed that the noises heard during his "presence" were fake, but by that time, such a resurgence of interest occurred that no one cared. The first group that devoted it's time to the search for disembodied souls was a society devoted to ghosts at Cambridge University in 1851. London's Ghost Club started 11 years later. These pioneers provided the beginnings for today's avid ghost hunters.
There are really only three forms of ghost hunting:
The first uses psychic methods to make contacts. Sensitive's walk through a home and make communication with the ghost or go into a trance. Others may use Ouija boards or other channelling tools to make contact.
The second type of ghost hunter uses something known as "ghost buster" tools. These can consist of Infrared cameras, tape recorders and energy measurement tools like the electromagnetic field meter. Pictures of orbs, ectoplasm and spirits represent their proof.
The third type of ghost hunting uses the scientific method. They gather all data and evidence of a haunting and search for normal, natural scientific explanations. If they can find none, then these investigators look to the paranormal for answers.
In their introduction to ghost hunting, The American Ghost Society tells the future ghost hunter's that some of the cases that they investigate are frauds and pranks perpetrated to make the ghost hunter look foolish. Other cases without merit are people that, out of fear, mental illness or some other reason, mistakenly believe that their house is haunted. These ghost hunters search for the truth and understand that the scientific community does not accept their work but make it their duty to find evidence of true hauntings.
Most ghost hunters seek the adventure of the unknown or simply want answers to age-old questions. Some, however, are more dubious and their desire is for personal fame. With the fame and claims of ghost hunting come the fat cheques for the books they authored, or ironically, had authored by ghost-writers. Television guest appearances and movie contracts add to the bounty. These types of ghost hunters usually have spectacular stories, later debunked by further investigation. The public seldom learns of the misinformation and prefers the gripping tale told originally.
The unfortunate effect of the professional attention seeker is that true ghost hunters receive not only a bad name, but further dismissal from the scientific community. Most impassioned ghost hunters want substantial proof that what they believe they experience while hunting spectre was real. The stories aren't spectacular but interesting and as any good ghost story, they can send a chill up your spine.
Across the world, people have the opportunity to join the ghost hunters by paying a small fee to joining a ghostly walking tour of haunted areas. Many times ghost hunters lead these tours and give important historical information as well as relaying stories of ghost sightings at the sites that they have visited.

Keith Ward is the Founder and Director of the Circle of Professional Clairvoyants, which offers Psychic Readings with fully qualified Senior UK Clairvoyants and Psychics.
It is important that you familiarize yourself with these terms as they are used quite frequently during a paranormal investigation. And as for the tools you don't need to rush out and buy this gear. A basic camera, video camera is the minimum otherwise there is no point in going on a ghost hunt if you can't show others what you may have captured
Amulets - Amulet Jewelry
Some ghost hunters wear jewelry called amulets because they believe the amulet jewelry
provides protection; because it is enchanted and charmed with powerful spells - which
some believe make it an effective weapon against harmful spirits - ghosts. An example
of a common amulet might be a crucifix - a cross. I believe jewelry is only powerful to the
mind that believes in it. An amulet is the same as a charm or talisman jewelry.
Anomaly
Something found on a picture, photograph, video or voice
recording that has no explainable source.
Apparition
These are the holy grail of ghost hunting.
A spirit that is in human form and usually visible to the
naked eye; or may appear in a photo undetected originally by the
naked eye. Often this anomaly is dressed in period clothing. Very
hard to capture on film but many have reported seeing this type of
ghost. This is the "Hollywood Type" ghost featured in many movies.
Cameras
Cameras are an invaluable tool and a must for investigating a haunting. They provide
visual documentation of the investigation and the phenomena occurring. Since, cameras
are neither for or against the paranormal, they allow what we do not see with our closed
minds to be photographed. Digital cameras provide more results and are best for ghost
hunting because they can show you what's in your picture right after you took the photo.
Digital photos are available to upload to your computer immediately after the ghost hunt,
while the events are still fresh in your mind.
Psychic photography is simply just following what you feel or sense, and taking pictures
using intention and intuition. When attempting psychic photography you should load the
film into the camera on arrival of the investigation site. Many say this will show the
intention you have and draw spirits to you to photograph. When taking pictures it is also
wise to notify others in the area you are taking a photo, so they are prepared for the
flash. Psychic photography is usually best achieved during the hours between 9 p.m. and
6 a.m.; but the best time for you will be when you have the feeling something is near you
or watching you - you should go with that instinct. While photographing at the
investigation site, you should try to avoid mirrors, glass, lights, poles or any other
obstruction that will interfere with evaluation or determination of the photograph and it's
elements; otherwise you may want to note the possibility of a false result with those photos
taken. Also, make sure your camera strap is removed and fingers are not in front of the
lens, as they can appear as convincing paranormal evidence. It is good to catalog your
photos with the corresponding negative for archival storage. If using a digital camera,
simply save the ghost photos and corresponding notes to a cd disk.
Dowsing Rods
Traditionally, a forked branch or stick that is believed to indicate subterranean water or
minerals by bending downward when held over a source. Divining rod, a rod, commonly
of witch hazel, with forked branches, used by those who discover water or metals under
ground.
Dowsing or divining rods can also be made of metal, and bent in an "L" shape - one for
each hand. In ghost hunting, when the rods cross while being held out in front of the
"dowser" they indicate spirit presence at the spot the dowser is at.
What is ectoplasm? It is the name given to a form of dense energy liberated by
living things which is believed to make possible the materialization of ghosts. In
short, it appears in photographs like a fog or mist, and is spirit.
We prefer to see orb vapor trails (such as in the above ghost picture), to determine
conclusively that it is indeed ectoplasm. Vapor trail cannot be re-created through fog,
breath or smoke. Many ectoplasm pictures are created by mistake, when the
ghost hunter has not been careful. Moisture, fog, cigarette smoke and human breath in cold weather can
produce some believable ectoplasm ghost pictures. Be sure to hold your breath
before taking ghost pictures, and do not smoke during your investigations for positive results.
EMF Meters
The Electromagnetic Field Detector, also known as an EMF meter, is the
ghost hunters tracking device. Using this instrument, it is possible to
locate and track energy sources. Before using the EMF meter as a
ghost hunting tool on an investigation, be sure to walk around the area
taking readings around energy sources such as light poles and electrical
outlets to be sure of the readings you will receive while scanning the
area during the investigation. Some EMF meters come with a manual
describing common household appliances and their corresponding
electromagnetic reading. When using this device be sure not to leave it
on for the full length of the ghost investigation, as this will prevent the
instrument from burning out.
When a positive EMF meter reading occurs, take as many photos as
possible. Be sure and point the camera in the same direction as you are
pointing the EMF meter. This is also a good time to take a temperature
reading. Be sure to always report the times of positive EMF readings,
temperature drops, and the times and numbers of each photo. This
provides collaborating evidence of the paranormal occurrence. At the
end of your ghost hunt, you may find that positive EMF and temperature
readings occurred at the exact time you took the photograph which
shows an anomaly.
Energy Lights
These show up on photos as colored lights during
some manifestations of hauntings. They usually are not visible to
the naked eye and can appear in different colors such as red, orange
or green.
EVP
Electronic Voice Phenomenon is the recording of audio tapes
at a suspected haunted site; and although no voices were heard at
the time of the recording, unexplained voices may be discovered
during playback of the audio tape. Both digital recorder and
traditional tape recorders may be used with an external microphone.
Kinetic Energy
Description for the movement of objects by a ghost.
A physical manifestation of an unseen force which may move, throw
or even destroy objects. These ghosts are known as "Poltergeists"
(German for "noisy ghost").
Orbs
Not all orb ghost pictures are ghosts. In fact, most orbs are caused by moisture, dust,
flash reflection, solar flare, and insect. Many have videotaped orbs flying around rooms -
some are dust with light reflecting off of it; others are balls of energy that
many ghost hunters are not sure just what they represent. We do not
claim to have the answers, but we seek to present the evidence we
receive and allow our viewers to research and decide on their own.
It is hard to determine exactly the source of an orb for sure. But one test
is pretty cool. Take a picture while stirring up some dust and watch how
many "orbs" appear in the picture. This is a good test to learn about
orbs caused by dust.
Motion Sensors and Detectors
Motion sensors and detectors are another investigation tool that many ghost hunters
use. Simply put, motion sensors or motion detectors are used to let the ghost
investigator know if something is moving in another room, while the investigator is
elsewhere. Motion sensors work well when left in a room during the time when no
investigator is present. Motion sensors have alarms that sound when movement is
detected in the room in which they are placed. Typically, they will sound in rooms
where no previous activity had been reported; and upon further investigation, one may
find much evidence of paranormal activity in the room where the motion detector or
sensor sounded its alarm. The motion sensors used by ghost hunters project an
infrared beam. When the beam is disrupted by movement of any kind (natural or
spirit!), an alarm will sound that the investigator can hear while in another room: a clue
that spirits may be present in that area where the motion detector resides. Usually
motion sensors have an alarm mode and chime mode. The chime mode will only
announce the visitor or movement, but will not blare as a siren for a long time. Most
ghost hunters prefer the chime mode setting on their motion detector, as it is less
offensive and won't scare the dickens out of you!
Plasma/Plasmoid
Moving orbs caught during the time of camera
exposure. Orbs have also been filmed moving, on video. In photos,
they appear as streaking light or as an orb with a tail showing the
path of motion. These are also known as "supercharged orbs" in
motion.
Poltergeist Hauntings
Poltergeists or poltergeist hauntings may be the most misunderstood type of haunting, as
some believe that poltergeist hauntings are not even a haunting at all. The German word,
"poltergeist," means "noisy ghost." The best defining mark of a poltergeist is if there is any
manipulation of the physical environment such as the movement of objects, physical attack,
spontaneous combustions, etc, then this is a poltergeist-type of haunting.
A common thread between different poltergeist hauntings has strongly indicated that they
are caused by psychokinesis (the ability to move things by power of the mind alone). The
question becomes whether the psychokinesis is from the people who live within (or visit) the
place where the activity takes place, or if it is actually occurring from an unseen troubled
spirit, called a ghost. The reason for this is because typically poltergeist hauntings center
around an adolescent girl (although young males and even adults have exhibited the same
phenomena) in the household. Typically, this central person is usually emotionally disturbed
in some fashion, and is somehow the root cause of objects moving, knocking sounds (and
other noises), the turning on and off of lights and electrical appliances, etc. What is
interesting is that the person whom the activity centers around, is unaware that they are the
one who is bringing about the disturbance. But in true poltergeist hauntings, none of the
activity will continue after the person is removed from the environment, as they are not there
to create it or influence an unseen entity. However, it has been reported that activity can
return later if the "right" person visits or lives in a notably poltergeist-haunted place. This
would lend one to believe that it requires a combined psychic energy to manifest such
terrible hauntings.
Author Brad Steiger contends that the central figure in a poltergeist haunting actually brings
additional energy which the troubled ghost then uses to manifest with physical attacks or
manipulation. This can be especially true if one is somewhat psychic and/or full of fear. The
ghostly entity seems to feed off of low energies such as fear. This is when more harmful
attacks can occur. Sometimes the effects of a poltergeist are more playful than harmful, but
have been known to be downright nasty. Reports of scratches, bites, harmful objects being
put in one's way (such as glass shards on a pillow or tacks under a bed sheet) have been
noted, as well as ghost possession. Perhaps Brad Steiger's best phrase is, "Ghosts haunt
houses; poltergeists haunt people." Perhaps many times, the troubled spirit wants only to
communicate a message to those who still are in bodies.
Residual Haunting
When a spirit is seen doing the same thing over
and over, many believe this to be simply an energy imprint or
residual haunting. In other words, a strong, traumatic event that
occurred in some other time, repeating itself over and over. Usually
these spirits do not interact with those who see them. My opinion, is
that this could simply be a state of mind I call "hell;" being trapped by
one's own mind in darkness or lack of understanding. Sort of reliving
of an event perhaps through fear, guilt or condemnation until that
spirit finds truth and freedom.
Think of a residual haunting as a movie being re-run on TV day after day. It is believed by
ghost hunters that some events, due to perhaps strong emotional energy attached to it,
imprint themselves somehow on the environment where the event took place. Sort of
"trapped in time," the event is recorded in the atmosphere of a place. If one were to see a
ghost doing the same activity over and over, and with no response to the present
environment, it is most likely a residual haunting. Residual hauntings are past events playing
in the present, but with no interaction with today. It is a common ghost hunters theory that
most residual hauntings occur in places built over top of limestone, quartz stone and/or
water. These seem to act as a transmitter, perhaps creating the perfect environment to
allow the residual haunting energy to manifest.
How can residual hauntings occur? Energy is spirit and spirit is life. All of us are spirit, with
or without the physical body, and we live and exist within spirit. Spirit is the life-force of all,
whether plant, animal or human being, and is everywhere. Everything that is, exists within
spirit. Spirit or energy is everywhere. Thus, is it possible for an event or person to imprint its
energy upon a place? Most ghost hunters believe so...
Dark Shadows/Shadow People
Dark shadows in ghost pictures usually appear as a black
smudge or fog over an image. Some certainly could be caused by
a finger or something else over the camera lens, but many are not.
There have been many interesting observations of shadow ghosts
(dark shadows or shadow people). They are usually seen out of
the corner of one's eye, hence this is why some call them shadow
people - they often observe others. Also, dark shadows have
actually been recorded playing with one another. This has led
some ghost investigators to believe they can be children, as well
as adults. Some have seen shadow ghosts 6 feet tall with broad
shoulders, for example. Shadow ghosts can see and react with
people. We have theorized that perhaps their darkness may be
just an indicator of their lack of progression into the light and unto
their life review...call it "in darkness," or "lack of understanding of
truth" - unaware of where they are, having unfinished business, or
afraid to move on.
Thermometer / Thermal Scanner
Thermometers are an instrument that are also very useful. There are two types used regularly:
digital thermometers and infrared non-contact thermometers. When used on an investigation this
will aid as a detection system for spirit presence. Rapid temperature drops of 10 degrees or more
could indicate spirit activity. I recommend using the infrared non-contact thermometers because
they react in less than a second to temperature drops and can scan a large area quickly.
As mentioned, good thermometer can detect changes in room temperature quickly. But some still
use the old-fashioned mercury-filled, red-line, thermometers. Electronic thermometers should be
used, but in high paranormal, haunting activity where electromagnetic forces have been reported
they may fail right when you need them. So bring an old mercury thermometer with you as back up,
and you should be o.k. during your ghost investigation.
Vortex
A long streak across a photo that may be
caused by a very high-speeding "orb;" some believe vortices are a
gateway between both realms (physical and spirit realms). They are
usually white in color and may appear as a funnel-shape. Camera
straps, human hair, a tree branch, etc., right in front of the camera
lens during exposure have been notoriously mistaken for a vortex. It
is important to make sure anything that may interfere with your photo
is removed from within the front of the camera.

Exploring & Believing

You can find lengthy and long explanation about what a ghost is on the net fairly easily. Most people have their own concepts and explanation to it.

The question "What is a ghost?" has been asked by millions of people for thousands of years. Every culture across the planet views ghosts differently. Some believe that ghosts are evil spirits that should be feared, while others believe that ghosts are here to help and protect the living.

Ghosts are generally thought of as the apparition ( the appearance of) or spirit of someone or some thing that is no longer living. Many theorize that a ghost is simply caught between the world of the living and the afterlife. Possibly confused about their own death. This is why many people believe that ghosts are often found in places of terrible tragedy and sudden death.

Other theories regard ghosts as just another form of energy. We are all made up of energy. Some scientists believe that energy doesn't die, but simply changes form. Ghosts could be the same energy in a new form, without a physical body. Another theory is that ghosts are only imprints left on the atmosphere around us by what some call our "life force".

Although there may be no definite explanation for what a ghost is, it is hard to deny that there is definitely something about them that has captured the minds of millions. With thousands of reported sightings and encounters for centuries, it is also hard to deny that ghosts just might be real. The thought of a ghost being real is scary to some and fascinating to others. Can they see us? Do they hear us when we speak?

There are different types of ghosts that people have reported encounters with as well. History will tell us that not all ghosts are considered friendly and some actually create feelings of sadness and terror.

A poltergeist is said to be one form of a ghost that is reported to move objects and make noises to let it's presence be known. Poltergeists are often regarded as bad or evil spirits and are sometimes even associated with demons. A poltergeist is said to sometimes center around one person in a household. This person is usually someone who may be suffering from some form of emotional turmoil or change. Adolescents are often associated with this type of ghost.

Demons are often referred to as ghosts, but are theorized by many to be a completely different thing. Demons are most commonly believed to be fallen angels or forces of pure evil. Some believe that there are two basic forces that hold our world into place. One being in the form of goodness and purity, while the other takes the form of absolute darkness and evil. Demons are believed by some to a manifestation of that influence. They are also believed to have the power to inhabit the bodies of humans or animals.

Apparitions are the most common type of ghost and involve the appearance or sighting of someone that is no longer living. Apparitions can be full body or partial in appearance. Some apparitions are said to appear only in places that were familiar to them in life, while others remain a mystery. Some say that this type of ghost can appear to relatives or loved ones and have been said to warn of imminent danger.

There are many other types of ghosts and paranormal activity and the best way to get the answers that you may be seeking is to do some investigating of your own. Research and theorize for yourself. "What is a ghost?" just might be a question that can never be completely answered. People will continue to investigate and theorize, but we may not get the answer to this age old question until we become ghosts ourselves

Basically to outline and summarise the article, it describes a ghost as being:

Form of energies

Not a demon a complete different entities from demon(a demon underling maybe hahaha??)

Appearance or sightings of the non-living meaning dead spirits

Well different people have different theories and explanation about what a ghost really is. I have my own and I choose to follow the highest point of reference in my religion. I`m obligated to believe in the Demons & Angels as well. As mentioned in the articles people tend to interpret what is a ghost due to their own experiences or relate to an event from somebody they know but it is still an unknown except to The Almighty and All Knowing. As far as I see it, the debate between skeptics and believers will continue indefinitely as where religions and free thinkers have.I would like just to note that what you don`t believe doesn't make you have any right to have or act disrespectfully towards it.

- History - Its important to find out all you can about the history of the location. You can check historical records, newspapers, books and articles; the Internet is often a good place to begin. Finding out about the history can be helpful in finding hard facts or folklore about the place.(You could also talk to the neighbours or resident that have been living in the area . Having in mind a certain folklore helps the hunt be more organize and systemic. It helps explains certain things on the ground. This can be both advantageous and disadvantageous to the hunt.A pro being that you don`t see everything as spiritual doings, a con being that your mind tends to lean toward the theme in particular relation)

- Evidence - Where possible gather as much evidence as you can about the haunting. If possible interview witnesses or local residents. In many cases the investigation will be guided by the witnesses' statements and testimony.( As mentioned above scout around and you`ll get a rough idea of the locality and situation of the area)

- Prepare - When carrying out an interview be prepared for it before you conduct it. Remember to be open-minded and considerate of feelings and comfort of the person or people you are interviewing at all times. You must always allow the person to tell their story without interruption and hold off any questions until they have finished. ( Here i would like to just add planning is as essential in the initial stage as it can get, the rough outlay of the an area, lights, recorders, cameras and etc. Last thing you want is to not know the exit or get lost in the dark)

- Questions - Its important when questioning a person that you make sure your questions are not leading questions. For example: Leading Questions: Did you see a ghost? Were you frightened? Use open questions, Open Questions: What did you see? How did you feel?( Ask yourself questions and your members as well when on ground. What you may seem to interpret from one thing may actually be interpreted differently from another member/person)

- Privacy - When you gathering information for your investigation it is vital that you respect the privacy of the residents in the area. An overnight investigation may be the final course of action rather than the first. Its important you have done some preliminary research first as a simple explanation may be found early on in the investigation for the reported haunting from researching the history and through interviews.(This also applies to no destruction of properties and also vandalism.Remember we are there to explore not to destroy.Disrespecting religious monuments and belief always goes against our team`s principles. What you don`t believe doesn`t make you have the right to disrespect)

- Permission - You must always get permission from the owners or residents before going onto private property even if the property looks abandoned. If the location is a public space like a school or hospital you will need permission from the caretakers or site owners before you begin. If you are going to be taking pictures in a public place, like graveyards, in the early hours of the morning it is advisable to notify the police that you are going to be there and at what times.(Point to note in Singapore it is considered trespassing to go into any property without permission by the police but imagine going up to your local neighbourhood Police station saying "hi there officer morning, just to inform you that my team and I would be going into that abandon house later in the evening.Thank you" hahaha I`ve never tried it but who knows it might work. I`m not promoting or asking people to trespass but just be weary and I can't emphasize enough on initial planning, scouting & research)

- ID - It is important that carry ID with you so that if you are questioned by anyone you can prove who you are.(You`ll be asking for it not to carry you IC (Identity card) around.)

- Never Go Alone - This is common sense. If you fall over or hurt yourself or if you get scared out of your wits you will need someone else there. Always make sure someone knows where you are going, for how long, and when you will be back, in case of emergency.( Well that's why we are a team but for initial scouting stages more or less for an experience investigator like Yat, he has done several scouts alone. The general thumb rule of 2 are usually the best. Too many would make your movement noticeable and dampens the atmosphere going alone well the above paragraph explains it. We are a team of investigators not going out there to prove we are reckless and fearless)

- The Best Time - Between the hours of 9pm and 6am is best time to investigate, as these are the hours most associated with hauntings. However, results can also be produced during daylight hours also.(day time investigation due yield results as well, it doesn't have to happen only in the night)

- Check Out - Its important to always check out the area during daylight before you go there at night so you are familiar with it that way you can look out for dangerous objects and obstacles that you might not be able to see in the dark, make a note of where they are an make sure the rest of your team are informed.(These are some points already covered in some of the above paragraph, yet again emphasizing planning)

- No - Smoking, alcohol or drugs at an investigation for obvious reasons. ( Logical enough, last thing you would want is getting attention not from entities but from the police)

- Don't - On both indoor and outdoor investigations do not ware anything with a scent, such as, perfume, cologne or anything else with a noticeable scent. This is to ensure that someone else does not mistake the smell for a paranormal occurrence. It is said that Spirits use scents and smells to get our attention.( I think almost everyone in Singapore can relate to the theory of the Pontianak scent. Also sometimes perfumes do tend to attract insects or animals and you wouldn't know what kind of poisonous insects or animals are lurking round the corner during your investigation. It also to be noted do NOT provoke animals if come across any during your investigation 1. It is obviously dangerous e.g snakes 2.It might seem like an animal but it maybe something else in an animal form)

- Record- Do not rely on you ability to recall information and details later, as the smallest thing can be of vital importance when evidencing your findings later so always remember to take pens and paper with you and record everything.(This is something for my team, record with pen and paper well maybe just rough notes and sketches, together with the audio and video recording. It may be prove to be a useful tool for the investigation)
These are basically some of the steps that the team does before we stake out.(The final step not to be forgotten are reviewing the evidence and recapping the events and occurrences.)
h|d|R

As we venture forth, it is yet another milestone in Team TKCK achievement. I`m currently (h|d|R) down under doing my degree and in UQ Gatton. Well heres the scoop, sori for our low entries but we are human beings with family, friends, work commitment and studies to pursue. We are serious about our research but we take it casually, I know this is contradicting but thats how just tje team is; LAID BACK--> GO figure I`m in Aussie (No offence intended to my aussie mates)

Anyway here's the deal, there have been many rumours about the on campus houses which many of my seniors are residing. There have been many accounted incidences of disturbance such as toilet rolls going missing half way through doing your buisness, showers being turn on and off and as quoted by a senoir (Yulfia 2008) here:

"Sometimes when you look at the architecture of the houses you get this errie feeling of something is there. You can feel its presence and your hairs just stand. When you enter the house, its as though your transported to the 200 years back. The uni wants to retain the old design to give it the rustic feeling or their just too cheap to bulit a new one "

Many of the buildings on my campus are very old and have been there since World War 2. During the war the campus is use as a temporary hospital and that explains the nearby cemetery behind the on campus houses. Mind you although they look old, wait til you see the interior WOW. Anyway there are about 27-30 on campuse houses and rumour has it that one of two incidences are common in any of the houses but yet one house currently has no residence on it. That is house no 27, why? I have no idea; from hearsay it is said an incident happened there not awhile ago. What type of incident no knows but the person in charge of the houses on campus is not renting it out.

Above is a map of gatton campus. The one in yellow is the area of my campus and the one in blue are areas of the main builidings, including the cemetary and on campus houses.

Well for now I`m heading back to do my assignment. In few weeks time after my exam period is over I`ll venture out and stake out the areas and House 27. The interesting part is you can see rabbits, hares to be specific as rabbits live in burrows and hare live above ground. Here in Australia hares are considered vertebrate pest. You can see a whole gang of time at night roaming the uni grounds. Don`t try catching them, the are fast. In fact faster then a cat, trust someone talking from experience hahahaha. Long gone are those images of rabbits or hares in my mind hopping along merrily. They are fast little critters =) When there are abundance of hare they are snakes and dingos not far away.

To all My Fellow Muslims out there Eid Mubarak.Forgive my misdeeds towards you as I have forgiven yours towards me.

EXPLORE, EXPERIENCE, BELIEVE!!

Exploring & Believing
