Reading emails can be a much simpler task by using e-mail client. Why do i say this so?

S-I-M-P-L-E.

Conventional ways ..

1) Open your browser

2) Type the address or just click at the yahoo toolbar

3) Enter your username and password, or some of you might already saved the password

4) Done

Using e-mail client..

1) Open your e-mail client and it will automatically synchronize

2) Done

Yeah. It really that simple.

Next task would be choosing the right clients. There are quite a number of email clients out there, be it free or commercial. In this entry, i am only going to share three of my favorite email clients.

You got an internet connection. You just want to make it more secure. You want to share file with your friend DIRECTLY through the net.

All of these mean you need Hamachi.

Internet is not really a secure communication compared to Local Area Network. LAN is mainly consist of trusted computer but internet got a vast list of network connected to make a huge internet.

Hamachi can change your internet into LAN. Virtually. This means it will be more secure, more direct and thus more efficient. In the other words, basically hamachi provide free virtual private network service for you . I've used it mainly for playing game with my friends.

The concept is very simple. You create a network. Ask your friends to join your network.

For PC01
Choose the middle button and choose>create network

Set the name and the password...DOne!

Room created..

For PC02
Choose the middle button and choose>join network

*Your friend's ip should'nt be the same with you.(i'm using the same pc to demonstrate so the ip is the same)

Key in the name and the password...Done!

***DONE***

*You have to configure or off your firewall to allow hamachi to connect to the internet
*The connection is successful if you can each other pc's at the network in the window.

Then, if you want to play game with your friends, make sure you choose LAN option in the game.

Slow system is probably due to less system maintenance other than that ton of virus breeding in your pc. Most of us spent a lot to buy the hardware that they believe can boost their overall pc's performances. Well that's fortunately true. But most of them spent less time doing maintenance their pc.

One of the most crucial asset in determing overall pc's performances is hard disk. So you need a right tool to take care of this main storage.

It was a very short time to enjoy the Mozilla Firefox 3.0 before this update emerged early this month. Mozilla itself guaranteed some more satisfaction from this release. Although the interface for sure has not been changed yet, there are improvements in the inner framework and the browsing speed. The most notable feature included in this version is the private browsing which is located in the tools section. It maybe an imitation from the incognito window by Google Chrome but certainly it is worth to use. Other features including the 'TraceMonkey' which is a javascript engine and Web Worker Thread.

Huh..it's been a long time since i didn't post any entry to this blog..

It's a holiday. My last few weeks were filled with a lot of visit to my-long-time-no-see relatives..^_^

I just want to share that the third PC fair for this year is just around the corner..So prepare your pocket..I'm not telling you to buy something at the coming pc fair but i just want to tell you to grab this chance of buying at a lower price than the regular one...( i told you already)

I haven't miss any pc fair yet this year and based on my observation i've found some trend of pc fair seller..~

-they put the price at fix but give more freebies(esp. desktop pc, laptop, camera, pda)
-the item that most likely will drop in term of price ~

*all type of storage(thumbdrive, memory card, int./ext. hard disk, dvd drive)
*antivirus software(usually a lot of promotion)
*peripheral devices(keyboard, mouse, gamepad)

-they give A LOT OF BROCHURES( i really meant a lot..) >_< -basically, you can get a better price here..! The last few days, someone asked my opinion about what to buy on the upcoming pc fair.. Here's my suggestion.. Buy.. -external hard disk(almost a-must-have for student )...probably grab a 320gb.. -larger pendrive..4gb+ -gamepad for those want to play game.. More information

SAT. Scholastic Aptitude Test.

Neither I'm going to talk about SAT here..Nor i'm trying to question it's reliability..hu2..i bet that when we think of sat..the first depiction on our mind will be something related to huge collection of lexicon(got it?) right..?

SAT is undeniably a "crucial phase" for students who wish to enter America...We need to ace it in order to get a good college such as M.I.T but yet the exam itself is so frustrating for us sometimes as we aren't familiar with the words used..

I just want to share something small yet-so-important that can greatly bring blocks of score differences..Vocaboly.

Vocaboly is a software that can profoundly improve your mastery of
"high-level-rarely-heard" vocabolary..of coz it won't really be helpful for some of you..but i bet some you of you might want something to push your marks little towards the edge right?

-Need For Speed Undercover-

Need For Speed. This was ( i sad was ) probably the one of the best racing ever existed in this world. Until recently, people still hoping something better than previous NFS ; Prostreet. I am one of them. Previously, for me Prostreet have greatly botched all the glorious moment of NFS generation. It was actually a huge contradiction to the great anticipation by NFS fan.

Prostreet tried to redefine the NFS itself by promoting legal racing instead of illegal racing, which can be considered as a huge revamp to its long-tradition.

And now they name it UNdercover. As the name implies, this game plotted the main character-theplayer- as an undercover cop who tries to gain reputation by doing some dirty work. Fortunately, I have already finished the game.

i dont like the front screen..no systematic menu..

My Lotus - Hope i can own it in reality..=)

Some mission require you to deliver certain place. Quite easy..juz make sure the car still in a good condition..hu2..*look at top-right damage meter~

Bugatti - the fastest car...and one of the most expensive too..~*i used it to defeat the final boss~

hu2..being undercover cop doesn't mean you can evade from police easily..^_^

Sometime i think this nfs has some similarities to gta:san andreas - take-out mission and the map too !

This NFS have quite wide range of designs too..(nice camouflage right?)

i dont really like the gps map..not systematic~

Before that , this is the game setting~

-antialias @ 6x(0_o!)
-all high detail except world set to medium..

comment first:-
-the menu are not systematic..
-very nice track..
-wide range of design...almost good as prostreet's collection
-foolish AI *sometimes
-hardware-demanding...i can only able to play at low resolution..graphics aren't really great..
-story plot confusing...not very clear

Verdict:-
gameplay 7.5/10
graphic 7/10 *should be better
sound 7/10
overall 7.2/10

Last but not least, this game only slightly better than prostreet but couldnt fully reach to the fan's expectation..

get a wheel..earn your wheelman reputation..be undercover cop...!

Web 2.0? Web 3.0?

Honestly saying, I am quite confused the first time the term 'web 2.0' appeared in my life. I thought the Internet would have massive update and would be transmogrified into another version. After a few researches, I went wrong just like others.

Web 2.0 is rather of idea on what the development of Internet is going through. The infrastructure is just the same, but the application and services keep expanding. If a decade ago Internet is used for only checking mail or searching information, nowadays it goes beyond it; besides, it involves in many parts of our life.

Then, before the deeper understanding of web 2.0 could be achieved, I was provoked with a newer term, 'web 3.0'. If we take a look of it, certainly this represent a higher development of Internet than web 2.0. Web 2.0 pictures the Internet nowadays, Web 3.0 renders the Internet in the future. In this country we might have satisfied with what we get in this day, but believe me the Internet can achieve more. Web 3.0 is described in Wikipedia as 'an Intelligent Web'. In this case, the Internet will not only serve for human, but also understand human's need. There are also other aspects in this web 3.0 such as ubiquitous connectivity and distributed databases.

Web 3.0 reminds me about 'cloud computing', the application which consumers use a centralized services and hardware through Internet connectivity. Companies will provide those things; consumers only need to pay for their services and there is no need for consumers to buy extensive hardware and software for their use. So, if the consumers want to save a terabyte data, they just don't need to buy a terabyte hard drive. They just upload it to the central data storage, and they pay for the service only. This also applies to software and others which can be accessed online.

This is certainly one of the best privacy tools on the net..(i think so)

For your information, it's been a long time since i know the internet that i start to use this kind of privacy tool...i have used a lot of software..dr.washer(i dont know it's still exist or not)..system mechanic..manual and tedious window procedure..

My search came to an end when i found this.^_^

I have used it since it's in beta version =) till now and all that i can say is that it's certainly one of must-have tools.

This little software allows you to remove any traces of your activities.

Ccleaner works well with many application..~ =)

Yup..Ccleaner also includes some registry fix function..

Last but not least, you can remove invalid uninstallation file on your computer and set your startup(program that run when window start)..~

For one who want a little-swiss-knife for your privacy, I highly recommend this Ccleaner..

~Call of Duty 5 review~

Huh...

it's holiday now so i can't resist the temptation to play all the latest game...hu2..

this one is one of my favorite games...it's call of duty! not only me..most claim it's their favorite franchise..^_^

hmm..i do play a lot of games..but i didn't finish most of it..but call of duty is a different kettle of fish..

before making any review..i feel the need to mention that i have played and finished c.o.d since call of duty 2 ..call of duty 4..and now call of duty 5!=)

before playing the game..i have expected the usual feature of call of duty~

-of coz it's about war...~
-very havoc!
-team-work..~
-suspense at an unprecedented level(i think so)~
-superb graphic at minimum load on gpu(i do compare it with other games)
-high 'replay value'
-ADDICTING..~ =)

we've seen call of duty2 setting in ww2(world war2) and then cod4 set a new trend in modern warfare..

now back to ww2!

in the game we will take part as an us soldier and as a Russian soldier...

i set all the setting to high at 1024*768..antialias 4x..

my verdict..~

gameplay-8.5/10
graphic-8.5/10
sound-8/10
overall-8/10

*i like Japanese snipers on the coconut trees..^_^

motherboard@mobo- the circuit which place all the pc component together
processor@cpu@proc-brain of a computer
graphic card@gc-card which accelerate your display.most uses it for gaming..~
graphic processing unit@gpu-processor in video card
random access memory@system memory@ram-memory of your system..
power supply@psu-of coz it supply power..
overclock@o.c-technique in which a processor(cpu or gpu) is set to operate more than its default speed
driver-program which is needed to run certain hardware
beta-version of software@driver in still early phases and released for public testing before final@official releases.may cause instability too~

Hey there!

For those who wonder about my test bed for all of my future reviews. Here's a little glance on my outdated(^_^) pc rig.

Processor
Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 - Bought in the first batch of core 2 duo,so expensive but now it's a lot cheaper~*when will i get i7~hu2

Graphic Card
Leadtek Winfast 7600GT DDR3 256MB - former champion of *mid-range market video card in 2006(i bought it) but seem so inferior today compare to the other video card~*but at least i can still play crysis even on low..(^_^)

RAM
Apacer 512MB DDR2 667 x2 - dual channel
KIngston 1024MB DDR2 667 x2 - dual channel

Motherboard
GIGABYTE 965p-s3

Power supply
Coolermaster Realpower 550w

Operating system
Window xp service pack 3

As you see, my rig seems quite outdated.But i bet you that my old rig can still survive till the first half year of 2009 - hopefully =).
