Image via WikipediaWith a few years have spent across different Banks. I,feel the banks would soon be needed to play roles like a light house and guide customers out of the dangers in this big bad financial world.
Proactively,providing guidance and direction to help sail out the various ships around the world out of dangerous and unknown territories.
This,would mean more customer loyalty and repeat businesses for the banks.
But,the big question is are banks doing it...Atleast in India i see more of reactive mode of doing business than proactive..

Felipe Massa met with a big accident this weekend.He was driving during the qualifiers when he was hit by a unknown debris from Rubens Brawn,which caused him to loose control over his Ferrari,causing him to bang on the side tyres.
This caused major damage to his car as well as he had muliple frature on the skulls,and had to be airlifted out of the race.
But,thankfully he is doing well.He is one of my favourite drivers on the F1 circuit.I wish him a very Speedy Recovery.

Political process is a part of human and organizational behavior. To disengage from it is to cede authority to those who choose to continue to play. It is also morally untenable to disengage out of abhorrence to "politics" and then later claim that you were disenfranchised.

As leaders, however, we do have an obligation to avoid the trap of letting politics intrude on purely technical decisions. Even at the national level, we have sometimes made the mistake of allowing political concerns to govern decisions that were untenable on technical merit. When facts are clear, we cannot ignore them, regardless of the political consequences. Try not to violate laws of physics.

When we engage in "politics," we need to encourage "good politics" as indicated above. We need to become wary when we see "neutral zone" behavior starting to occur. And we need to stamp out and crush, preferably through peer pressure, "bad politics." Basically bad politics corrupts the entire process, by admitting as legitimate those behaviors that are clearly unethical and of low integrity.

Note that even "neutral" or "gray zone" practices will undermine a high trust environment. The advantages of a high trust environment are so great that one should seriously consider whether the allowance of "gray zone" practices is worth the risk.

We need to ensure that in all political processes or negotiations, the "polls close," that decisions are made, that the team "signs up," and that we move forward as one to implement the decision, without continuing non-productive debate.

Finally, for those of you who fall back on the "all politicians are corrupt scoundrels" argument, I have only two words for you: Harry Truman. Truman was no technologist, but he was a superb politician and leader. But that is the subject of yet another article.

Indian Vegetarian Fried Rice.

My first post on how to make a Indian style Chinese Fried Rice.
The ingredients
1. Bowl of Rice cooked the day before.
2. Soya Sauce
3 . Vinegar
4. Aginomoto.
5. Spring Onions Nicely sliced.
6. Green Peas.
7. Ginger Garlic Paste
8. Oil for cooking
9. Green chillies nicely chopped.

Procedure.
1. First add some oil in the pan add the chopped spring onions,ginger garlic paste and the green peas.
2. Allow it to fry nicely but the veggies should look fresh so add some salt and aginomoto while frying.
3. Once the veggies are nicely fried you can add some vinegar,soya sauce and nicely fry the veggies again not for a lot of time.
4. Then add the rice and fry it fr sometime add vinegar,soya sauce and aginomoto as per taste
and serve hot.

I am great supporter of renewable energy sources to be used for power generation

It calls for greater investment and use of wind,solar,waves energy. for satisfying the energy needs of this world.

The hunger for energy and progress is never ending in a way i also like fast cars,taller buildings. But ,thinking how can we neutralize or reduce the effects of our greed and prevent the damage to mother nature.

There should be some middle path and i see that middle path in use of these energy sources in developed as well as developing world.In,the longer run it is always beneficial.

What is H1N1 Influenza?
H1N1 Influenza is a respiratory disease of the pigs caused by the Type A Influenza Virus. This disease while being very common in pigs has a low fatality rate in that species. The Virus is constantly evolving and so there are many strains of the Influenza Virus that have been isolated. The present epidemic is believed to be caused by the H1N1 strain of the virus.

Does H1N1 Influenza infect humans?
Human infections of H1N1 Influenza are not common but do occur. Most infections are usually seen in those with close contact with pigs. (Pig Farmers, Workers in the Pork Industry etc.). Many Viruses spread from humans to other species and vice versa and the H1N1 Influenza Virus is another such virus.

Does Human to Human Transmission Occur?
Unlike the Bird Flu Virus, the H1N1 Influenza Virus appears to be transmitted more easily from human to human. That is why the present epidemic could be potentially more worrying than the Bird Flu Epidemic that occurred a few years ago. The infection is believed to spread from one person to another through droplet infection, that is by the release of the viruses in the air when we cough or sneeze. Touching objects (eg. towels used by infected persons) with the virus on it and then touching our noses or mouths can also cause infection.

Does H1N1 Influenza spread through the ingestion of Pork?
Potentially there is little risk in eating pork provided the pork is cooked fully.

What are the Symptoms of H1N1 Influenza?
The symptoms are very similar to any other influenza - fever, lethargy, cough, sore throat, lack of appetite, runny nose, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. In severe cases Pneumonia can develop with breathing difficulty leading to respiratory failure and this can be fatal.

How can H1N1 Influenza be diagnosed?
The only definitive way to make the diagnosis is to identify the virus in the respiratory secretions of the infected persons within the first 5 to 6 days of them developing the illness when the virus is being actively shed. The test is done to look for the particular strain of the Influenza Virus that causes H1N1 Influenza. Most labs do not perform this test routinely.

How is H1N1 Influenza Treated?
While there are four anti viral drugs available to treat H1N1 Influenza the latest strain (H1N1) has shown resistance to two of them. The recommended drugs today for treatment are Oseltamivir (Tamiflu) and Zanamivir.

Is there a Vaccine for H1N1 Influenza?
Not as Yet. The World Health Organization says that it may take at least 6 months for a vaccine to be available.

What are the precautions that you need to take to minimize your chances of catching H1N1 Influenza?

Try to avoid to the extent possible, close contact with persons with symptoms of influenza.
Washing your hands often with soap and water or an alcohol based hand cleanser may also help.
Avoid touching your eyes, mouth or nose to the extent possible without washing your hands first, especially after touching surfaces that could be contaminated(Door Knobs, Cafeteria Tables, Toilet taps etc.)
Avoid non - essential travel to countries which have reported significant H1N1 Influenza infection. The Government of India has already issued a Travel Advisory in this regard.
Use a tissue to cover your mouth and nose every time you cough or sneeze. Dispose the tissue in the bin after using it and do not leave it lying around.
If you have recently contracted symptoms of influenza as explained above it may be wise to stay at home and avoid extensive contact with others at least for the first 5-6 days to avoid spreading the infection.

Gulabjamun Recipe.
Last week we had a nice preparation of Gulab Jamun an Indian Delicacy of Sweets.
The preparation was quite elaborate.We,had to boil a few liters of milk to create a Khowa.I dont know the english word for that.
The khowas is than rolled into a round shapes of the Jamuns.A sugarry syrup is created by boiled loads of sugar in water.Very Sinful..
And the Jamuns are dipped in it for an extended period of time till the Jamuns absorb a lot of sweetness.
Excellent recipe,My Favourite.
