Mi India has launched Mi Notebook. Mi notebook did its Global Debut on 11th June, 2020. Xiaomi launched Mi Notebook 14 and Mi Notebook 14(Horizon Edition). Let's talk about it.

SPECIFICATIONS

DESIGN

First noticeable thing about Mi Notebook 14 is its weight, which is one its main highlight. Mi Notebook is very light in weight, weighing just 1.35 kg. Reason behind this is the Magnesium and Aluminium Alloy used which is light and firm.

DISPLAY

Mi Notebook 14 inch Full HD(FHD) display. Mi Notebook has one of the highest screen to body ration of 91% and it has bezels which are just 3 mm thick.

Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition comes with an anti glare coating, which helps to avoid reflection on your screen. The resolution of display is 1920 ✕ 1080. It has a viewing angle of 178°, which is very good.

KEYBOARD

It has a full size keyboard with compact form factor. letters on the keys are screen printed and are not stickers, which generally come off after prolonged usage.

Mi Notebook comes with a large trackpad which is 11 cm ✕ 5.7 cm. On both the sides of trackpad youget 10.5 cm each space which you may basically use to rest your palm.

STEREO SPEAKERS

Mi Notebook comes with stereo speakers that are tucked along the curvature of the device as shown in image. You also get an DTS Audio processing App to control sound.

Mi Notebook comes with two high speed USB 3.1 ports, along with one USB 2.0 port. It also comes with support of one HDMI 1.4b interface with a TYPE C port for data transfer and for charging. It also has a 3.5 mm jack which works as both Headphone and MIC in.

Mi Notebook comes with two Intel 10th gen processors which are CORE i7 10 510U and CORE i5 10 210U. CORE i7 processor offers turbo boost clock 4.9 GHz which is highest among all the 10th gen U series processors. Both CPUs offer Intel Hyper Threading technology with 4 cores and 8 threads to support seamless multitasking.

Mi Notebook connects both the CPUs with 8 GB DDR4 RAM clocked at 2666MHz to ensure smooth and seamless performance.

Mi Notebook features an ultra fast 512 GB of storage in form of a Solid State Drive(SSD).

Mukesh Ambani's 'Jio Platforms' has launched JioMart to make grocery order much easier in midst of lockdown. A new Whatsapp number has been launched. JioMart is using its technology to rech out to a large network of grocery stores. Company has started its functioning on a small scale.

The new service has came just after a week Facebook acquired 9.99% stake in Reliance Jio. JioMart will use Facebook's daughter company Whatsapp to order groceries.

However, JioMart is not offering home delivery. Customers need to head to the nearest grocery store to pick up their order from nearby grocery story. We have made a step of instructions on how to order on JioMart using Whatsapp:

First, save the no. +91 8850008000 in your phone.

After that, head to WhatsApp, and refresh your contacts list.

Click on the saved number and sen a 'Hi' message.

An auto generated message will come as soon as you send first 'Hi'. The message notes that JioMart service is currently available in Navi Mumbai, Thane and Kalyan.

Message informs that order placed by 7pm everyday will be delivered by the nearest JioMart kirana within next 2 days.

The message also contains a unique link that expires in 30 minutes. After 30 mins you again have to send 'Hi' message to receive new link.

Once you tap on the link, JioMart page will open and you need to fill your phone and address details to continue.

After filling your details click 'Proceed'.

After that a list of in nearby kirana stores is mentioned. The list in not available with all kinds of goods but JioMart may improve their inventory in future.

After placing order. JioMart shows you the total payable amount and sends a WhatsApp text message immediately.

The text mentions the name and address of nearby grocery store from where you have to pickup your order, and also offers a phone no. for any inquiry. JioMart notes that once the order is ready it will send text to inform you to head to the grocery store to take the delivery. Payment is to be made at the time of pickup only.

JioMart also provides a 'Google Maps' link for user's convenience.

Drones to fight against Coronavirus in India! started in Chhattisgarh, to be started in many other cities

With all the states around India are trying to fight Corona virus, a Chennai-based drone is using its innovations to fight Corona in Chhattisgarh and elsewhere.

Manging director of the Garuda Aerospace, Mr. Agnishwar Jayaprakash, told IANS " Our drones will spray disinfectant on areas specified by Chhattisgarh government, usually on areas of rush like hospitals, govternment offices and buildings".

In Tamil Nadu, government is doing pilot studies on spraying disinfectant with Garuda's drones on the 'Rajiv Gandhi General Government Hospital', he said.

Garuda Aerospace has also got orders from some private hospitals for disinfecting their buildings as well, he added.

Soon, Garuda Aerospace will be working in many other states as the governments of other states/UTs have also send enqueries for disinfecting their public places.

However, he said" We will provide our drones and pilots to operate them. The customer has to provide the disinfectant"

Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth confirmed that realme smartwatch will be launched soon in India. He offered the first look at the wearable in the latest #AskMadhav Episode on YouTube. Madhav Sheth has confirmed that Realme is soon going to launch its first smartwatch in India. He was seen flaunting the smartwatch on his wrist throughout the video. The Realme smartwatch has a square dial and a black strap.

Although Sheth was wearing the watch throughout the video but he did not disclose much details about it. He also revealed that the Realme 6 Pro will come in the lightning purple colour very soon.

Pune based Company Mylab recieves approval for Coronavirus(COVID-19) test kit

Pune based Pharmaceutical Company Mylab Discovery Solutions on Monday has recieved approval from Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation(CDSCO) for its Coronavirus Diagnostic kits.

The approval may help in increase testing in the country.

Mylab's director Dr. Gautam Wankhede says they can start supply soon since they already have the raw material and have been in molecular diagnostic for last three to four years.

Dr. Gautam Wankhede said in current lab based testing takes four hours for test results to come out, Mylab's turn arount time is two and a half hours. Also, company's kit can study 1000 samples from large labs and 200 samples from small labs.
