The 310XT watch features a built-in GPS receiver and an optional heart-rate monitor. It is waterproof to 50 meters, which means it can take part in the swimming portion of a triathlon. This newer model has improved calorie consumption measurement software as well as a “virtual partner,” a program that simulates running with — or against — a partner of similar fitness and speed.

The watch can support exercise information wirelessly to your computer, giving you to transfer workouts on a Mac or PC. A built-in technology captures your location even when you’re not in sight of a GPS satellite, ensuring an accurate measurement while running under trees or between skyscrapers. The 310XT, which should be available this summer, will cost $350 ($400 with heart monitor).

This week the Acer company revealed its new Timeline series of notebooks, with prices starting at about $700. The new Timeline series claims up to 8 hours of battery life with a conventional hard drive, and 10 hours with a solid-state drive. The heaviest model in the lineup is just more than five pounds; the lightest is 3.5 pounds. The Timelines promise to turn the heat down with their “Laminar Wall Jet” technology, which is supposed to redirect cooling air along the bottom side of the notebook.

There are a few screen sizes, from 13 inches to 15 inches. The company gave Acer an edge in aggressively cutting prices and also jumping into the smartphone market. To run a business with lower costs is good when the market is growing.

Sony has finally announced an OLED Walkman, the Walkman X Series, to go on sale in Japan next week. The cost of OLED is little expensive, $400. The OLRD Walkman is smaller than an iPod touch at three inches, the 16-gigabyte or 32-gig models, dressed up in glossy black or red, will incorporate wireless, a Web browser, and “hybrid” operation with a touch-panel and a few important buttons.
The Nikon company has just announced the D5000, a model which fills the gap between it popular D60 and D90 models. The Nikon D5000 offering features like high-definition video, 11-point auto focus and Live View. The D5000 name is intentionally created to set the camera apart. It’s not an entry D.S.L.R. - the price is a bit higher and the features are more advanced. It’s an ideal mate for beginners and also a good friend to non-amateurs.

The D5000 comes with a kit (18mm to 55mm, f/3.5-5.6G VR lens) for $849. Nikon will also offer two-lens kit that adds a 55mm to 200mm, f/4-5.6 zoom lens for $1,100 or body only for $729. The 12.3-megapixel D5000 employs the same sensor as the D90, for instance, and it offers the same 11-point auto-focus system (the D60 has only three AF points). That means the D5000 will provide faster and more accurate auto-focus than the D60. The D5000 can record video at 720p (1280×720 pixels at 24 frames per second), and video can be captured with image stabilization when using a Nikkor lens.

The D5000 also packs a whopping 19 automatic scene model, as well as several new in-camera editing features, including a soft filter effect to smooth out faces and a perspective control that enables users to correct distortions of up to 10 percent that often appear in architectural photographs. But the D5000 cannot control multiple SpeedLights, and it lacks a depth-of-field preview capability, as well as the ability to accept an ancillary battery pack. In conclusion I will add that the D5000 still delivers the best of both models at a reasonable price.

The final image appears as it it were on a 45-inch screen viewed from six feet away. The Cinemizer Plus also merges LCD screens and individual diopter focus adjustment (-3.5 to +3.5D), which means that anyone who wears glasses can focus the screen images to make them crisper and sharper. The video eyewear will be available at the end of May for $449 and comes with a built-in battery so it won’t waste your priceless iPhone.

The new Apple iPod Shuffle 3G is not bad as a player, but looking it it’s hard to recognize that could be an Apple product. All you see on its back is a gun-metal oblong, very similar with a USB key. All you find apart from the metal clip is a three-way switch and a 3.5mm input. There’s no display but Apple has added VoiceOver, its new synthesized-speech feature that tells you what song is playing, who singing it or which playlists you have. The player support MP3, WAV, AAC, AIF.

The new music player is very small and thin, perfect for the summer time and has memory capacity to 4GB (about 1,000 songs). The Apple iPod Shuffle 3G is available for $79 in silver or dark gray. Be careful because the new one is so small that it’s only a matter of time before your lose it.

The new Sony Cyber-shot HX1 has several features that might even appeal to semiprofessionals. The camera will be available next month for $500, and takes up to 10 nine-megapixel pictures a second and can take video at 1080p resolution. It also include a large 20X optical zoom lens and a three-inch LCD. To improve shooting time, the HX1 has a mechanical shutter like those found in digital single-lens reflex cameras.

The camera makes vacation photos with a 224-degree panoramic stitching feature that lets you take wide semicircular horizon shots. It has motion reduction and antishake technology, as well as a smart composing feature that keeps everything in focus even when you zoom in on distant subjects. The lens has focal lengths equivalent to 28 to 560 millimeters, and multiple scene settings, including red-eye reduction and face detection.

Dell presents its thin-luxury-branded MacBook Air competition. The 0.65-inch-tick Adamo notebook has been created with a 13.4 - inch, 16:9 high-definition display that features an integrated 1.3 megapixel Web camera and Bluetooth 2.1.

For $2,000 the Admire model will get you two gigabytes and 800 megahertz of DDR3 dual-channel memory and a 1.2 -gigahertz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. For $2,700, the Desire model has four gigabytes and 800 megahertz of DDR3 dual-channel memory, a 1.4-gigahertz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and mobile broadband. To maximize battery life, notebook computer processors are often designed to save more energy and run cooler than desktop processors. The drawback is slower performance, but more memory can help, which it won’t consume energy or radiate heat.

The keyboard itself is a big change from the typical Dell laptop keyboard, which has always had tall, tapered keys. Here the keys are flat, closely spaced with similar style to what you might find on a MacBook or Sony Vaio. The metal touch pad is very good; sometimes using nontraditional surfaces on a touch pad can add uncomfortable friction and finger drag, but that is not the case here. The battery icon in the system tray claims more than 3 hours of battery life on a full charge at the default power settings.

Dell Adamo is your new thin friend, bringing colors and comfort in your everyday lifestyle!

The HP Firebird 803 desktop with VoodooDNA brings some of the high-end system’s modular design elements down to a more refined scale. It also has a remarkable power efficiency and strog performance of its price. The Firebird 803 will exceed your expectations for an upper midrange gaming PC. The Firebird include a unique, accordion-style chassis with the main body supported by a cantilevered base. The design allows airflow to the inside of the system by giving air to come up from the bottom.

The memory and the hard drive are both easily accesable (although you only get two slots for each), but instead of even a single 1X PCI Express, the motherboard presents you a pair reflective metal blocks, each connecting with its own liquid cooling tube. These blocks are in fact the Firebird’s graphics cards.

The good: Unique, polished case design, easily accessible interior, solid performance, strong feature assortment.

The bad: No expansion card upgrade path, chokes on more demanding games at higher resolutions, no 5.1 analog audio outputs.

The line: HP’s Firebird 803 has the influence of its Voodoo PC acquisition to the mainstream with a compelling design, admirable power efficiency, and strong bang-for-the-buck. What it lacks is any sort of graphics upgrade path. For some, the limited upgradeability kills the deal. For those still interested, this PC offers a complete gaming PC with conversation-piece design.

Specifications: Processor: Intel (2.83 GHz) ; RAM installed: 4 GB ; Hard drive: 320 GB ; Motherboard: Nvidia MCP7A ; Graphics: (2) 512MB Nvidia GeForce 9800S graphics cards.

The ball is made of heavy red plastic and the base has four buttons- left and right click, with two buttons for media and on-screen viewing control.

The Trackball is compatible with Windows PCs and Macs. But the media functions are fairly limited. For example turning on the media feature on a Mac computer offers some basic control over the tracks playing in iTunes. On the other hand the pointing system is intuitive and fun for those who may have troubles in using a standard mouse.

The Trackball Mouse has a rugged U.S.B. cable clad in nylon fabric. The mouse costs $129 online and in stores.

That means that the mini projector P1 can decode most media formats and play them straight from the projector.

Our friend also features a built-in speaker, 1,000-to-1 contrast ratio and 3.5-milimeter headphone jack. The battery lasts 45 to 60 minutes. The P1 Pico Projector is available from the AAXA company’s online store for $260.

And yes - the gadget is still small enough to fit in your pocket!

The body of the phone is made out of recycled water bottles and has no brominated flame retardants, beryllium and phthalates - all incredibly toxic substances. It also features a pedometer, and CO2 emissions calculator.

The Panasonic Touchbook 19 shown here is a bit thick than an usual touch book, but can last up to 10 hours on a single charge (a 40 percent improvement over previous models) and come with a new security feature called concealed mode that shuts off the machine’s lights when pushed.

The screen is tweaked to better handle varying visibility conditions using Panasonic’s circular polarization technology. Also added is an Intel Centrino 2 processor with vPro technology, and the option for a 32-gigabyte solid-state drive.

Other specifications include a 13.3-inch display and 6-gigabyte L2 cache for the Toughbook 30 and a 10.4-inch display with a 3-megabyte L2 cache for the Toughbook 19. The upgraded Toughbook 30 ($3,650) and the Toughbook 19 ($3,750) are both available now.
