RM extension may contain video and audio . Few Online Steaming websites use files with . RM extension to play songs and videos . .RM file format requires less space when compared to other formats like .avi but experts say that the quality is lost with RM format. Many people accept with this statement.

How to open (play) .RM files : RM files can be opened by Real Player to be played, but Real Player may slow down your computer since it requires more system resources. A better option is to use VLC player. VLC player requires less system resouces and can also open most formats other than .RM. Real Alternative and Media Player Classic are other good options for playing Real media files.

We normally shutdown or restart our Windows power PC by using the start menu and then clicking Turn off your computer and then selecting shutdown or restart from the new window. How flexible and easy could it be if you could easily shut down or restart with in a click of a button. As the button is triggered a shutdown or restart operation is triggered. Lets see how this can be worked out. Here are the steps to create the restart or shutdown button.

How To Create One Click Restart/Shutdown Icon?

Step1: Right click on your desktop and go to New then Shortcut.

Step2: On the new “Create Shortcut” window, type the following command SHUTDOWN -r -t 30

Here t 30 means time in second, for example if you want your computer will restart automatically after half minute then the command will be shutdown -r -t 30. But if you want your computer will restart without any countdown then type command as shutdown -r -t 00.

Step3: Click Next button to type the name of this shortcut and press Finish to close it.

You can stop any specific computer programs which are appearing on most frequent list of start menu. For example if you want, your windows media player is never showing on the most frequent programs list when you play any movie, so you can hide this entry from others using these settings. However this tip is very useful for you, if you are sharing your computer with others or you do not want that other persons know about your last visited documents history. Here are the steps for configuration to stop any particular program to appear in frequently used programs list.

How To Stop Any Program To Appear In Frequently Used Programs List?

Step1: Click Start button and select Run.

Step2: Type “regedit” and click OK.

Step3: Locate HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\<var>Program name.exe</var><var> </var>

Here are the executable file names for others commonly used programs:

For MS Word = windword.exe

For MS Excel = excel.exe

For Explorer = iexplorer.exe

For Notepad = notepad.exe

For Media Player = wmplayer.exe

Microsoft® Phone Data Manager Beta is an application that is designed to take away the worry of losing data on your phone – specifically contacts, music, pictures and videos. It does that by synchronizing your phone contacts with Microsoft’s Windows Live Contacts store in the cloud, or by helping you download files from the phone to your local computer.

Contacts: Microsoft® Phone Data Manager Beta synchronizes the contacts present in your phone with your contact store on Windows Live Contacts, which is the same store that your Hotmail contacts uses. This way, your phone contacts are always present on the internet, accessible via the contacts link on Hotmail. If you lose, or simply change your phone, all you need to do is to synchronize the contacts using Microsoft® Phone Data Manager Beta, and all the contacts that you stored in your Windows Live Contacts store will be downloaded to your phone. You can synchronize your contacts as many times as you like so that the changes you make (edits, additions or deletions) on your phone, or on the computer on Windows Live Contacts are always reflected on both your phone and the Windows Live Contacts store.
Music, Pictures and Video: In its current form, Microsoft® Phone Data Manager Beta will download the music, pictures and videos present in your phone to a local folder on the computer you are using this application on
Communication with your phone: Microsoft® Phone Data Manager Beta can communicate with your phone via a wireless standard known as Bluetooth, or via a USB cable.
In order for you to synchronize contacts, you will need to have a Windows Live ID (any Hotmail ID is a valid Windows Live ID). If you do not have one, you will be prompted to create one while you use the application

Step5: Make sure you save the file to your DESKTOP.

Just double-click the newly created file on your desktop whenever your PC seems sluggish. It will give your RAM a much needed boost.

Not that if you have less than 128mb of RAM then replace the 80000000 with 160000000 .

Normally windows Restricts you to use only 10 TCP , to provide security to your Pc’s . You can increase this 10 to about the range between 50 to 100 . For this you need to install this patch .
http://www.4shared.com/file/37588140/da75e6b6/EvID4226Patch223d-en.html
To Do 2:
Port Forwarding :
Every Ip address is divided into different Port Numbers .Each application use different Port number . You should have a separate port for your Torrent dowloader to download . So that you need to Forward your Port to download . Follow these steps
1] Goto portforwarding.com
2] Select Your Modem , from the list given in the site .
3] Now select the Torrent Application
4] Follow the Steps given .

To Do 3:
Minimising your Upload Limit :
Your upload speed will be defaultly set to maximum . So you need to decrease it to enable more downloading . The ratio should around 80 : 100 upload limit .

http://torrentfreak.com/optimize-your-bittorrent-download-speed/
To Do 4:
Disable Windows Firewall :
If you use Windows Firewall disable it and go for some other option which is P2p friendly ! Because Windows firewall hates the P2p connections .

To Do 5 :
Queuing Settings :
According to the download speed , you can limit the number of torrents you download . For example , If you have 256 kbps , the normal limit of torrents will be 5 . So decide how many you are going to download , you can download multiple small files , or some few larger files at the same time !

Try these and your can download the Torrents in high speed !!
