Still hooked on Microsoft XP for whatever reason? Even though the company has officially said goodbye to the iconic operating system, and the deadline has come and gone, there are still hardcore XP users out there. And when I say hardcore, I mean hardcore – to the point that someone has created a Windows XP updated hack, which provides users a way to get around the lack of support for the operating system.

It requires a little tweaking of the operating system’s registry. If you change a few lines of code in the registry, the system will think that, instead of running on Windows XP, your computer is a point-of-sale system running Windows Embedded Industry (previously Windows Embedded POSReady). Since this system does still have support – which will not end till 2019 – your computer can then receive updates for years to come.

Naturally, Microsoft is not happy with this development. Obviously, it circumvents their move to stop support for Windows XP, a noisy fight that one was.

More than that, though, Microsoft says that the hack can actually do more harm than good. They issued a statement to ZDNet explaining their position on the issue:

We recently became aware of a hack that purportedly aims to provide security updates to Windows XP customers. The security updates that could be installed are intended for Windows Embedded and Windows Server 2003 customers and do not fully protect Windows XP customers. Windows XP customers also run a significant risk of functionality issues with their machines if they install these updates, as they are not tested against Windows XP. The best way for Windows XP customers to protect their systems is to upgrade to a more modern operating system, like Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.

Imagine driving a car that doesn’t require you to do any of the driving! Google has recently designed its own rendition of a driverless car. It has no steering wheel, and other conventional controls are also obsolete. Only 100 of these cars will be made in hopes that once tested, they can bring this technology to the world ‘safely’.

For many years, Google has been testing regular cars equipped with all sorts of sensors, navigation technology, and computers in order to drive ‘themselves’. However, whilst doing this, they have created their own prototype vehicle from scratch in which no human may at any time, take control (Though there is an emergency stop button…phew.

The first 100 test versions will have controls in them but in the future, there are hopes that they won’t need them. The controls are needed only so that the laws of California, Nevada and Florida which allow autonomous cars but only if the person ‘driving’ can take control if needed.

The director of Google’s Driverless car project, Chris Urmson, said that the goal of the project was to run lots of tests in California where Google is based. His argument is that driverless cars will eventually improve road safety which is mostly caused by human error. He stated that this development is “an important step toward improving road safety and transforming mobility for millions of people”. They also said that it was actually safer taking all controls out of the car because human error did not improve if drivers suddenly have to take over the vehicle. Urmson says, “We saw stuff that made us a little nervous.” After all, its hard enough to fix a problem while driving, if you are paying attention. You either trust the machine, or you don’t.

So what does this concept car look like? The vehicle has two seats; a screen showing the route you will be taking; the top speed is 25mph (40km/h); and the sensors allows the car’s computer to ‘see’ several hundred metres in advance.

When looking for a tablet for someone with dyslexia, there are a number of important factors that must be considered to make sure you get the features that are most important to the user, and get the best value for your needs. First, you want to consider what the tablet will be used for. Will it be used primarily for reading books and browsing the web, or will it be used to type documents, read email, and edit movies. Generally, for people with dyslexia, it is important that the tablet have built in text-to-speech with a high quality voice. All three of these tablets have text-to-speech, but the way text-to-speech is implemented is different from tablet to tablet. The iPad allows text-to-speech to be activated in a few taps when reading webpages and text in apps including Safari, Mail and many third party apps including The New York Times. The other tablets require a more time consuming process to activate text-to-speech in all apps.

Next, app quality and quantity is also an important consideration. Currently, the iPad is ahead in terms of app support, but the Nexus 7 is not too shabby in terms of third party app selection either. Apple's lead in terms of third party app selection continues to narrow. See the ecosystem and apps section below for more information about app selection. If the person with dyslexia uses Bookshare or Learning Ally, it is important to make sure that the tablet has apps to support those services. Android also includes a screen reader called TalkBack, but it is not as polished as VoiceOver. One of Apple’s VoiceOver's biggest advantages is that it works with more apps than TalkBack..

The Nexus 7 also includes reading features that can benefit people with dyslexia. Google Play Books, which is Google’s e-book store, allows you to read books with text-to-speech with synchronized highlighting. The default voice isn't as good as the Kindle's default voice, but you can download higher quality voices. For users of Bookshare and Learning Ally, the Nexus 7 has Android apps for both of these services. Unfortunately, the Bookshare app for Android (GoRead) is not as good as the Read2Go app for iOS or Voice Dream Reader, another app that can read Bookshare books. The iOS apps generally have more polished user interfaces and more advanced annotations options.

The iPad has the best third party app support for reading. Users of Bookshare and Learning Ally can read their books with great iPad optimized apps. The iPad app Voice Dream Reader lets you read many documents and books, including Bookshare books, using text-to-speech. Voice Dream is the best text-to-speech app for mobile devices right now and is only available for the iPad and iPhone. The iPad can access Kindle books using the Kindle app and they can be read aloud with text-to-speech using VoiceOver. However, VoiceOver does not highlight the words as they are spoken. Apple's own iBooks app underwhelms in terms of accessibility features for people with dyslexia. iBooks can be read with text-to-speech using VoiceOver, but VoiceOver does not highlight as it reads and it takes time to learn how to use it properly.

Shortcut keys help provide an easier and usually quicker method of navigating and using computer software programs. Shortcut keys are commonly accessed by using the Alt (on IBM compatible computers), command key (on Apple computers), Ctrl, or Shift in conjunction with a single letter. The de facto standard for listing a shortcut is listing the modifier key, a plus symbol, and the single character. In other words, "ALT+S" is telling you to press the Alt key and while continuing to hold the Alt key, press the S key to perform the shortcut.

In addition to the shortcuts listed on this page, users can find the shortcut keys to their most popular program by looking for underlined letters in their menus. For example, the picture to the right has an underline on the "F" in File which means you can press the Alt key and F to access the File menu.
Note: Some programs require the user press and hold Alt to see the underlined characters. Finally, as can also be seen some of the common features such as Open (Ctrl+O) and Save (Ctrl+S) have shortcut keys assigned to them.

Soldiers Could Be Getting High-Tech Headgear Q-Warrior Soon

The American military could be about to get new head gear that will give them a serious advantage out in the field. Q-Warrior is a high-tech device worn on the head and has been built by the UK-based company BAE Systems.

The Google Glass-like equipment can measure distances, display 3D building layouts and transmit video from a drone, all on a display that sits right in front of the eye. This could prove to be a vital piece of equipment, as battlefields are full of data that are crucial to a soldier’s survival. Up until now there has been no way for transmitting data like the location of fellow soldiers or maps of a city, but that type of information can be streamed live to soldiers by means of Q-Warrior.

There have been no confirmed reports that BAE Systems and the US military have agreed to test run the Q-Warrior headgear but both have said that it is only a matter of time before soldiers will be wearing the new device in battle.

“It’s not 10 years out from now, it’s been available for a while,” said Donald Lee, a project lead in the Army’s Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center. “It’s just how do you do it?”

The concern is not how to actually make it but rather how to ensure that the data stream is not broken or more importantly how to prevent someone from hacking the helmets and stealing footage and information.

And “then you’ve got the issue of distraction,” said Paul Wright, the business development lead for soldier systems at BAE Systems. “Whether the data is a distraction from the main task that a person is carrying out.”

Wright and Lee both explain how it is essential to learn what and how much information should be transmitted to the soldiers, as bombarding them with too much data could actually prove a hindrance rather than a help.

However, it is likely that these concerns and issues will soon be resolved, especially because soldiers are crying out for such a headgear system. There is no time frame for rolling out this equipment but Wright explains that initially it will probably be used by special forces before being rolled out to all military teams.

Maintaining your computer is the key to keeping it healthy and fully working and of course, fast. Windows 95 has most of the tools for maintaining your PC, but Windows 98 extends the possibilities and makes it even less of a hassle. If you follow the list below and run the programs listed frequently, you will be guaranteed to have a maintained computer at no extra cost. There are, however, other programs in the market with stronger engines, but then again, they’re not free (stop smiling…)LOL

Most of these programs can be found under the Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools folder.

1. Disk Defrag: It is advisable to run Defrag under Windows 95 once a month or when you add/remove programs. However, under Windows 98, you can run it every week if you want because it has a new engine, which means that the more you run it, the faster your computer will get. What happens is that your programs are placed on your hard disk in a way so that the ones you use most often are easier for the hard disk to find and run. Make sure that the ‘make my programs run faster’ is ticked in the ‘Settings’ window in Defrag.

2. Scandisk: Running a thorough check is good once a month in both Windows 95 and 98. Run this once a month if you feel that your hard disk takes a long time to load programs. A standard check is very fast and checks for basic disk problems concerning files and folders and lost fragments. It takes an average 2 minutes to complete so try running it often.

3. Disk cleanup: This one is good for seeing how much disk space is being used up by unnecessary files that…

are in the recycle bin, temp folder, or in temporary internet folders. You can then remove them!

4. RegClean: A simple but effective piece of software this is. You can download it for free from Microsoft’s web site. It is also available on many magazine cover disks. Reg Clean takes about a minute to check the registry. Then it asks whether you want to clean out redundant or orphan file. This usually helps the computer to get rid of files that have been left behind by uninstalled programs.

5. Windows update: It’s a good idea to use Windows Update to make sure your computer has all the latest fixes, patches and updates. You can do so by clicking on its icon in the Start Menu under Windows 98.

3. Click on the 3G connection. In my case, the network name is Singtel.

4. Click Properties at the bottom.

5. Go to Sharing tab. Check the box “Allow others network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection”. In the dropdown box, select “Wireless Network Connection“. Once done, click the Settings button.

6. Check the last box “Web Server (HTTP)”. This will allow other computer to access Internet via this connection.

Click OK to return to the Network and Sharing center.

7. Next, click on the “Set up a new connection or network”

8. Scroll down until you find the option “Set up a wireless ad hoc network”. Select it.

9. Give this network a name and a password. Click Next.

10. On the next screen, click “Turn on Internet Connection sharing”.

That’s it. You can now connect to this computer and access the Internet from other computers.

Step 1: Youwave And Bluestack Are the Two Android Emulator which enable us to Run Whatsapp or any other Android App on PC.

Step 2: If you Go for Bluestack then Download and install it, then run the Bluestack and Click

Then Click on the Tab ” Social ” and select ” Whatsapp ” and Install it.

Step 3: If you Go for Youwave which I am Using On My PC then just download and install.

Now download Whatsapp.apk and move the downloaded file to PC directory.

whatsapp.apk file in to that directory . Then Click on View then Redraw Icons.

How to Hack ADMIN password for Windows

1) Go to C:/windows/system32.

2) Copy cmd.exe and paste it on desktop.

3) Rename cmd.exe to sethc.exe.

4) Copy the new sethc.exe to system 32,when windows asks for overwriting the file,then click yes.

5) Now Log out from your guest account and at the user select window,press shift key 5 times.

6) Instead of Sticky Key confirmation dialog,command prompt with full administrator privileges will open.

7) Now type “ NET USER ADMINISTRATOR “zzz” where “zzz” can be any password you like and press enter.

8) You will see “ The Command completed successfully” and then exit the command prompt and login into administrator with your new password.

9) Bravo !! Now You have hacked admin through guest account.

This is another method you can use to hack admin password without knowing it.

It is possible to change Adminstrator password both in Win XP and Vista without knowing it. If you some how manage to login as an Administrator then you can change the password without knowing it.

Here’s the Step-By-Step instructions.

1. Right-click on the “My Computer” icon on the desktop OR in the Start Menu.

2. Select the option “Manage”.

3. Expand the “Computer Management (Local) tree (if it is not already expanded) on the left pane.

4. Double click on the “Local Users and Groups” option From “System Tools” tree.

Step 1: Open Notepad and Paste the Below Code.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

Note : Change “Your Processor Name” To Whatever name You Want it To Give. Also Understand That \0 Should Be Present If Windows Stores your Processor name at that location. Now in the location of the item, Type regedit / S “Location of yourprocessorname.reg file”

For Eg : if your Saved File is in ” D ” Drive Then Type regedit /S “D:\yourprocessorname.reg”
