The Chinese company ‘Shenzhen Proview Technology actually makes LCD monitors. They claim that it is their right to use iPad name for their product Internet Personal Access Device and they did not sell it to Apple. Their lawyer Xie Xianghui argued that it was a Taiwan affiliate that sold it at 2009 and that invalid. In response Apple complaints, PROVIEW has failed to transfer the trademark right to its actual holder. Apple counter attacked the Chinese lawyer by saying that the local company did not market any such product for years so they don’t stand a chance to claim the right in the first place. The court was adjourned after a long four hour session.
