China Unicom, which happens to be the only official and authorized carrier in the world’s largest cellphone market (China) for iPhones
and iPads is going to provide full service to its customers, which includes jailbreaking, converting SIM Card to Micro-SIM, installation of 10 of the most popular apps from Cydia, and a free case on every new purchase of iPhone 4 and iPad 3G. This was spotted by a Chinese citizen on a large advertising banners outside some of the China Unicom’s stores, as can be seen in the images below.

Now the question is, since all the new iPhones and iPads are now shipping with the latest firmware i.e. iOS 4.0.2 and iOS 3.2.2, it will be interesting to see how are they going to offer the jailbreak as the mentioned firmware versions are not jailbreakable by JailbreakMe. Oracle Corp sued Google Inc, alleging patent & copyright infringement in the development of the popular Android smartphone program. The suit, filed on Thursday in New york federal court, claims that Google “knowingly, directly & repeatedly infringed Oracle’s Java-related intellectual property” in developing Android, Oracle spokeswoman Karen Tillman said in a statement. “This lawsuit seeks appropriate cures.”

Oracle acquired Java through its $5.6 billion purchase of Sun Microsystems earlier this year. Analysts said the suit against Google could signal that Oracle intends to be more aggressive in seeking licensees for Java, a know-how that is used in plenty of types of Internet-based products. Oracle Chief Executive Larry Ellison has said they views the Java program as a key asset, pointing to its use in a variety of electronic devices, from PCs to DVD players. “Sun’s corporate philosophy was obviously different from Oracle’s in terms of enforcing the Java patents,” said Edward Reines, an IP litigator at Weil Gotshall who is involved in separate patent litigation against Oracle.

A Google spokesman said they could not comment on the lawsuit as the company had not had a chance to review it yet. Analysts say Google’s Android operating method makes use of portions of Java know-how. About 200,000 smartphones & other devices based on the Android operating method are sold each day, Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt said at an Aug. 4 conference. The case is Oracle of The united states Inc v Google Inc, in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

It’s been only a day that some lucky people started receiving their iPhone 4 and guys from iFixit managed to get one of those. They wasted no time to teardown iPhone 4 and have a closer look inside it. Just about a week ago, it was revealed that iPhone 4 has 512 MB RAM and the teardown proved it true.
Rumors that were being covered by most of the technology geeks come true upon the tear Down being showed by ifixit.

The teardown also revealed many other things apart from its RAM. It has a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor which is same as the Samsung Wave S8500 according to them. This was also mentioned in a report of DigiTimes that Apple and Samsung worked on this processor together. iPhone 4 also has chemically-strengthened Gorilla Glass for a more torture-friendly front panel.

The battery is a large one; an enormous 1420mAh Li-Polymer which is better than any other smartphone. In comparison to iPhone 4, Nexus One has 1400mAh and HTC Droid Incredible has 1300mAh. There is no SIM eject tool with iPhone 4, but it can be done with a paper clip. The voice quality should be best because it has dual microphone setup for suppressing background noise .

Apart from these things one of the newest thing in iPhone 4 is an AGD1 3-axis gyroscope which is thought to be made of by ST Micro and Broadcomm who provide both the BCM4750IUB8 single-chip GPS receiver and BCM4329FKUBG receiver giving the iPhone 4 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, and an FM radio.

Dell Inc is in talks with Google Inc over the use of the Chrome operating system on its laptops, a top company executive said on Monday. “We have to have a point of view on the industry and technology direction two years, three years down the road, so we continuously work with Google on this,” Amit Midha, Dell’s president for Greater China and South Asia told Reuters in an interview. “There are going to be unique innovations coming up in the marketplace in two, three years, with a new form of computing, we want to be on that forefront … So with Chrome or Android or anything like that we want to be one of the leaders,” Midha said, adding that there were no firm announcements to be made but talks were underway.

Google has said it expects to release its Chrome computer operating system in the “late fall” as it aims a competitive strike at rival Microsoft’s Windows. Midha said Dell would release a new smartphone for the China market in coming months that would run on the TD-SCDMA network, China’s homegrown third-generation mobile network. The new smartphone would be released with China Mobile and would be a full-featured smartphone with an inbuilt television tuner, he said.

Dell entered the smartphone market late last year with the release of Mini 3 in China. Midha said he hoped Dell’s tablet computer, Streak, which would be released in the United States in July, would launch in China by the end of the year, but he stressed that there was no firm date.

Finally The long wait over and Football fever at its peak and World Cup will starting from Tomorrow. In conjunction with this quadrennial event, the famous video games developer, Electronic Arts (EA), has lately launched another free-to-play and downloadable sport game, FIFA Online.

FIFA Online is an interesting multiplayer online football game which allows football fans to manage their teams and compete in a league mode with 500 clubs from 28 licensed leagues and more than 15,000 players. They can buy club manager, train the player, etc to lead their own club to domestic league glory in this soccer game.

According to EA, the full FIFA Online game will be finalized and released first across Europe and then North America in the next 12 to 24 months before it is released in North America.
