If you’ve seen the movie Avatar, you know how the main character took control of a body and was able to control it. While it’s not exactly the same thing, something similar is possible right now with a robotic device, which allows you to interact with the environment many thousands of miles from where you’re sitting. This piece of future technology is called VGo Robotic Telepresence and it allows you to control from a remote location a robotic body.

You can see, hear and interact with objects with the help of this device. You can participate in advanced video conferences by having a presence in the room or you can use it to monitor your company when you’re thousands of miles away. The price of this robot is $5,000.

The price of the Sony Tablet S was dropped by $100 for both versions, of 16GB and 32GB. The starting prices for this tablet is now $400 for the smaller version and $500 for the 32GB model.

The tablet is a pretty decent one and critics agreed that it’s a nice tablet, but it didn’t sell as well as Sony had hoped. If they would’ve tried a smaller price, they might just have had a chance. Anyway, if you’re looking for a Honeycomb tablet, this one will do, especially since you will be able to upgrade it to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the next few months.

As for the other specs of the Sony Tablet S, the processor is a Tegra 2 from Nvidia, it comes with a 5MP camera in the rear and a 0.3MP in the front, Bluetooth integrated stereo and it can take SD cards.
