Apple confirmed at their launch event that the iOS 8 public launch will be out on Wednesday, September 17.

We didn't hear anything about OSX Yosemite at today's even so we guessing that this will be launching later this fall.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Review

Hear our take on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. This is a great piece of hardware from Samsung. A lot of people have been saying that the Note 2 screen is to big but its really not and the screen is big and beautiful. seen i got this device i have not even use my ipad cause this device take the place of a tablet and cell phone and a lot of people have been calling it a phablet.

This device right now is running androind 4.1.1 and has the Samsung TouchWiz on top of
android. now i didn't find more use for the S pen.

This phone runs on fatest networks like 3G, HSPA+ and LTE. Were getting speeds on LTE of 15.45 Mbps down and 16.48 Mbps Up which is faster then most home internet today.

also were see great camera quality on this device and you can see one of my phone that i have take with this device this photo is unedited and right from the phone.

This phone has some great features for people who want to multitasking with feature like pop out video you can keep watching that video while browser the web or tweet and even updating you facebook status. anther feature which is great for the multitasking is that you can run more then one app at a time and you have the screen for one and half the screen for anther app. When you make the jump to a Samsung Galexy Note 2 you will also get a free 50GB of dropbox storage for two years and store all this great photos you take with this device.

Onto the battery life of this device we mangent to get over a day on our this device without charging it

Over the christmas break I have been playing with a new device from nettalk.com which give you phone over the internet. So your mostly likely asking what do I get with this device well they include a free first year of server. The Device is pretty small take no more the the a deck of cards and the service yearly service fee is really low at about $39.95 a year. Call quality is really good just as if you were using a normal landline. But one think I will say is that depend on bandwidth from you ISP. I did have one issue getting it setup on the wifi but they also have Live Customer support 7 days a week to help you out.

yet another iPhone 5 rumor

New reports have surfaced that the iPhone 5, now slated to be shipped in fall 2012, will have a aluminum back, joined to the glass front by a plastic/rubberized bezel.

Earlier reports stated that shipment would start summer 2012, with an aluminum back and a slightly larger screen (4").

Lots of time left till either supposed shipment date. Lots of rumors to come.

Dropbox now with auto backup for photos

Dropbox has released it's latest beta version, with the ability to automatically sync photos when a camera or smartphone is connected to a linked device (PC/Laptop).
With this release, Dropbox is pulling even with Apple and Google, who offer similar options with Photostream (iOS) and Android users with the option to back up to Google+.

No word yet on when the next stable version of the app will be released.

Bell Canada ends internet throttling in favor of usage-based billing

Here in the United States the net neutrality debate rages on, but Canadian internet users officially lost the battle three years ago. Now, however, one internet service provider, Bell Canada, has agreed to stop peer-to-peer throttling. In a letter to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), the ISP said that peer-to-peer file-sharing now takes up less bandwidth than streaming video and other services, making throttling it a lower priority.

Apple seeds another build of OSX to Developers

Apple has seeded yet another build of OSX to developers. The new version of OSX 10.7.3, known as build 11D36 is focused on iCloud Document Storage, Address Book, iCal, Mail, Spotlight and Safari and has no documented issues.
Even the Delta-update of this puppy is a hair less then a GB.

(thank goodness that I chose iOS development instead) :)

LightSquared hits another road block

LightSquared, the company wanting to offer wholesale 4G service across the US, has hit another road block.
After being asked by the DoD and DoT, the FCC performed testing to show that the network does interfere with GPS signals.
75% of GPS receivers experienced "harmful interference" when within 100 meters of a transmission tower.
LightSquared, outraged by the leak of data, has always stated in it's defence that GPS makers rely on frequencies assigned to other licensees.
Spectrum owned by LightSquared and spectrum used by GPS devices are very close together in range.

Even with a planned 40,000 towers across the US, this 'harmful interference' the government is talking about is merely affecting a fraction of surface area of the country. Never mind the accusation that GPS devices are using frequencies not assigned to them.
So at an average speed of 80 km/h driving by a transmission tower, you would loose the GPS signal for maybe 10 seconds or so. I don't think this is much of concern at all myself, considering the benefits of a nationwide 4G cell service.
