EA releases 5 new mobile games

EA Mobile has announced availability of five new titles for Mobile devices. They are:

The Sims 2 Castaway
The Sims Pool
Monopoly Here & Now
Yahtzee Adventures
Merv Griffin’s Crosswords

“EA Mobile continues to create and distribute games that compel potential customers to download and play games on mobile devices,” said Travis Boatman, Vice President of Worldwide Studios, EA Mobile. “The wide range of handsets, from everyday devices to sophisticated 3G phones, and the iPod, provide great platforms that foster and satisfy consumer demand for anytime entertainment.”

The games are available as of now only through American carriers but hopefully that will change soon. However, Yahtzee is available worldwide through iTunes as well.

Microsoft, HCL to Launch World’s Cheapest Laptop

Microsoft Corp India and HCL Infosystems Ltd have announced a set of joint initiatives, including the launch of world’s cheapest Windows enabled laptop computer and the setting up of a center of excellence (CoE) to create a customized solution framework for India.

Making the announcement in Mumbai on Friday, Ajai Chowdhry, chairman and CEO of HCL, said, “The laptop will be launched under HCL’s MiLeap brand and will cost Rs 16,990.”

Google Page Rank is the way google ranks different pages. I was searching some information about Google Page Rank and how it works and I landed on an SEO, Designing and Programming blog max web design. As the About page says Robert the owner of the blog created it for sharing knowledge about SEO and marketing and his projects.
The page I landed upon talks about Page Rank. It enlightens about how the Page Rank works. Page Rank is decided by the number of inbound links to a page. Page Rank is not for a website but for pages in a website. So if you like your pages with each other correctly chances are you’ll have a better Page Rank. It also says that Pages pass Page Rank from one to other like cold, without loosing it.

Microsoft has planned to end Xp Sales by June 30,2008. Users and still reluctant to switch to Vista because of huge size and memory requirements. Infoworld has launched Savexp and petition. Right now over 111.000 people have joined the petition. You can also join the peition to save XP and raise a voice to save a good operating sysetm the old and trusted Windows Xp. Google Digging Deep into the Internet with Form Crawling

Google is digging deeper into internet search by crawling forms. Only a small number of usefull websites are being crawled and that to following the rules like robots.txt, nofollow etc.

Here is an excerpt:

In the past few months we have been exploring some HTML forms to try to discover new web pages and URLs that we otherwise couldn’t find and index for users who search on Google. Specifically, when we encounter a
element on a high-quality site, we might choose to do a small number of queries using the form. For text boxes, our computers automatically choose words from the site that has the form; for select menus, check boxes, and radio buttons on the form, we choose from among the values of the HTML. Having chosen the values for each input, we generate and then try to crawl URLs that correspond to a possible query a user may have made. If we ascertain that the web page resulting from our query is valid, interesting, and includes content not in our index, we may include it in our index much as we would include any other web page.

Needless to say, this experiment follows good Internet citizenry practices. Only a small number of particularly useful sites receive this treatment, and our crawl agent, the ever-friendly Googlebot, always adheres to robots.txt, nofollow, and noindex directives. That means that if a search form is forbidden in robots.txt, we won’t crawl any of the URLs that a form would generate. Similarly, we only retrieve GET forms and avoid forms that require any kind of user information. For example, we omit any forms that have a password input or that use terms commonly associated with personal information such as logins, userids, contacts, etc. We are also mindful of the impact we can have on web sites and limit ourselves to a very small number of fetches for a given site.

Howto.fm is a tutorials directory. One can submit their own original tutorials on their website so they can be listed there. The tutorials can be in any niche from arts to technology to foods to finances to programming they have it all. All free articles waiting for you. Basically it’s an article submission which is free and the articles tell you how to do things. An example of article is this CF Invoke article.

Any article submitted should be original and should not have been published anywhere else. After the submission the articles are screened and analyzed by their representatives. After the analysis if all’s well your article is added to their directory.
