The clue is in the name. It’s an all in one printer. This means that you can do a variety of office jobs with one piece of equipment. Sounds great doesn’t it? But maybe you’ll need a little more information than just being able to do it all in one. What are the actual benefits? Why should you buy this piece of equipment? Here are four of the key benefits. Have a look and see why you need this in your working life.

All in one

All in one printers can print obviously, but they can also scan, work as a fax machine and even a telephone. But there are other advantages too. You can print photos directly from a memory card without the need of a computer, you can scan directly to a computer, you can save time with quick print speeds, you can have a number of users connected to the same printer and you can retouch colour on photographs without the need of a PC.

Easy to maintain

All in one printers are very easy to maintain. As you have all the equipment you need in one technology, there will be less devices for you to take care off. This also means that if you need equipment fixing you’ll only have to deal with one person or company to fix the product.

They are space saving

Buying an all in one printer can also help you to save on space. One of the biggest problems with office equipment is that they’re bulky and can eat up a lot of your space. If your office isn’t blessed with a lot of storage facilities it would be ideal for you to make use of an all in one printer. This also means that you don’t have to deal with several machines at one time.

It will mean you save on costs

It will actually end up being much more expensive to buy the office equipment individually one by one than to buy an all in one printer. This then becomes beneficial for your company as it will enable you to cut costs without hindering your business in any way. An all in one printer is also likely to come with an extended warranty meaning you won’t have to worry about the overall maintenance of your printer.

The proper management of a business depends entirely on the available business data. Therefore it is necessary for a business to manage the most important data properly so that the business can work smoothly. Nowadays we have a number of tools and methods from which we can manage almost all the data. These data are very important because the associated people of the business can use this data for better results. Thus a proper strategy to manage the data is needed. Test data management strategy before you actually implement it on your business.

High quality data management software can do the trick for your important work. These software are able to merge different files from a number of databases. One of the most important things of these software are that they can differentiate the data useful for you and also which may not have any importance for your business. It saves the data properly and you need not have to worry about the loss of the data. The second name of data management software is data extraction software. Therefore if you want to test data management strategy of your business than data management software can be an integral part of it.

You need to keep some points on your mind before you select the required software. First of all analyze your business properly and find out that what you need to manage properly. Once you decide that what type of data you frequently require than it becomes easy to select a particular option. Do you require open index files (like .cdx, .ntx, or .ntx)? Or you simply require saving and modifying the data. These points should be clear to you before you test data management strategy because you can take the required decision only if you are using proper tools.

The Nokia E Phone series are the best smart phones that are initially addressed to business users, but it gives broader views in appealing thanks to the combination of good characteristic features of the software with a fulfilling complete hardware design.

The E71 has a fantabulous QWERTY types of the keyboard handset that are available, whereas the type E52 equals the design by amazing candy bar system, offering a design pattern of slim line bundled with its own features.

Design:

The Nokia E52 type is consequently a device with ’sub-10mm, sub-100g’. It’s really lighter and smaller than more ‘feature phones’ quantifying 98g weight 116mm tall by 49.9mm extensive and 9.9mm thick, which peppers the mid-range from the consumer trade.

It is a professional aspect that all-grey casing contributes a section of the aluminum which serves the phone to resists its contribution of knocks and drops. If the scheme of the color is grumbled, the aluminum handles the pressure.

The one which is having the white key markings doesn’t always excel in both the dull indoor and bright outdoor. It could be very hard to differentiate their markings. The white backlight acts very brilliant in job when it is used.
Nokia has carried off to fit in an impressive great number of pads, with the biggest keys having just about 6mm tall and 15mm wide.

The two external columns of keys are somewhat little than the interior one and the lower rows of the keys present externally are especially curtailed, but all of the keys are comparatively larger.

The navigation button that is raised up by the keypad has an elevated external rim that makes it casual to attain accurately, and the select button which is present internally is also large.

The persisting buttons aren’t rather so successful:

Nokia has grouped 8 functions in the number pad which results in little cramped parts and the external navigation button.

A flat part of the left and right side of the navigation button holds the soft menu keys in addition to the End and the call keys. Intermediate to that lies, a pair of advanced buttons with a rocker-like design access to the Calendar and Home present on the left.

The advanced buttons feel a bit flimsy below the fingertips, and people with big or short fingers may find such things a little challenging task to work with.

Professionally Qualified – The E52 Type:

• Compact and simple
• Good battery life
• Usable keypad with big button systems
• 2 well switch able home screens

Cons:

• Miserable key markings
• Shortcut keys are somewhat difficult to us

Functioning & Battery Life:

There are some complaints whenever the usability is pertained. The E52’s type of screen that are present in rotary motion is responsive and the available accelerometer can set to snooze alarms and silence the calls simply by turning the face down in the handset, which is a convenient method.

The number keys are big and comfortable to use, even though the key marking can be easily cleared in lowest light circumstances, the kind of backlight is not yet triggered.

Lifetime of the battery is initially effective. Nokia answers that you should arise to 8 hours of talk in GSM, and 18 hours of playback music and 23 days only on standby or 30 hours of hearing FM radio.

We had to carry the test over many days, as the E52 type of battery delivered an astonishing 26 hours 19 minutes of hearing in the playback music.

Conclusion:

The E52 is one type of Nokia’s finest candy bar-format handset all time. Small and tidy, it crams in mass of characteristics and presents good life to battery. If one not needs to use a touch-screen, believe this Smart phone. Its worth buying.

There’s nothing quite like getting your first Mac. After years of torment at the hands of Bill Gates and his patience-testing software, your first Mac will be a revelation. Beautifully designed and a breeze to use, it is hard to find any fault with the late Steve Jobs’s creations.

Apple support workers and Mac owners will also probably tell you that you don’t need antivirus software or Internet security too, which can often be difficult to accept if you are coming from a virus-ridden PC. These Mac disciples are partly right, as aggressive malware tends to attack Windows as opposed to Mac OS X, but there is an alternative view.

Mac antivirus may be about precaution rather than prevention but after spending so much money on a shiny new laptop do you really want to take the risk? A virus that makes your Mac crash or sends out inappropriate emails is fairly unlikely, but probably the most important thing your Mac contains is at risk, your data.

Data theft is rife in the online community and more and more people are having their identity stolen and bank details used every day. Antivirus software can help stop this and give you peace of mind when handing over details online or using your Internet bank account.

If you have a business or use your Mac for work, it’s not just your data that is at risk but also your clients’ and your company’s. Large corporations have been targeted over the last year, leaking customers’ bank details and email addresses, so it would not be difficult for someone to do the same to you. You need to ask yourself just how attractive your data is, whether it personal or corporate and change your security accordingly.

The Mac has got security flaws and there are plenty of people out there who are able to exploit them. Apple’s web browser Safari is particularly at risk, with a number of vulnerable areas in which hackers can access your information. Just because there is not one mass-produced virus that can damage OS X this does not mean you are not at risk. A highly sophisticated phishing scam can still put you and your data in a difficult position so by erring on the side of caution and purchasing some antivirus software, you will be able to use your Mac safe in the knowledge it’s protected.

There aren’t many free antivirus programs around for the Mac and the ones that are offered for free often have key features omitted or can be extremely unreliable. You are better to opt for a reputable software company and spend a little bit of money on ensuring you Mac is safe.

Remember, just because a virus is yet to bring down the OS X operating system, it doesn’t mean someone won’t eventually come up with one. Your applications will still allow some form of attack so be careful what you download and beware of Trojans, backdoors, adware, spyware, and other disreputable software.

Even if your Mac does not succumb to a virus, can you be sure you won’t pass it onto someone else? Antivirus software can quarantine and destroy anything malevolent on your system before you email it to a friend, colleague or client. Can you really afford to pass on these viruses?

There is PC antivirus, mobile antivirus and all types of other software to protect your gadgets, so why should your Mac be any different? Buying some reasonable antivirus software is a small price to pay, when you consider just what it can do for you and your computer. Antivirus software gives you complete peace of mind and helps you to get on with what your Mac is designed for!

As part of the Robert Half CIO Masters Series, a senior IT executive from one of the world’s most influential technology companies talks about the impact of what he does on today’s business model.

“Technology is actually crucial to the success of every business,” says Alan Noble, “it’s just that some businesses don’t realise it yet.” These are important words for those pursuing technology jobs or technology careers.

As the Engineering Director in Australia & New Zealand for Google, Noble knows his stuff. Google Inc. is the American multinational corporation invested in internet search, cloud computing, advertising technologies and search engines. Not to mention the numerous internet-based services and products it develops.

Noble has lived and worked in Australia, Japan and the United States for multinationals and startups alike. He has founded or co-founded internet software companies and served as CTO of network performance software developer Foursticks. In 2005 he founded NWAN Optimisation solutions company NetPriva, itself acquired by Expand Networks in 2007—the same year Noble joined Google.

“Coming from a technology company like Google,” he says with no small amount of wonder, “it’s actually hard to get my head around the concept of technology in a support role because it’s so intrinsic to what we do.”

“But I’ll set that aside. There are tremendous opportunities for businesses today to focus on what’s important to their business. The technology should be the technology that really enables the business to differentiate itself and succeed. That’s very, very exciting.”

And Noble cautions that now is the time for business to focus on this, as the rate of change is accelerating dramatically and will create a huge challenge for the CIOs of the future. “Interesting statistic,” he says. “in 2009 the amount of digital information finally reached eight hundred exabytes. That’s eight hundred, followed by eighteen zeroes. But within a couple of years it’ll be almost a zettabyte, which is another three zeroes. How do you manage information flow? Fortunately, technology can play a huge role there.”

Inevitably, Noble believes, CIOs will migrate to the CEO’s office. “Our CEO is an engineer,” he points out proudly, referring to Google’s Eric Schmidt. “It’s probably a minority of companies like that today. I think you’ll see more of that in companies where either the technology is the lifeblood of the business or CIOs and CTOs themselves become more generalist, spending more of their careers outside of just IT.”

The corporate chain of command is mutating as well. “Google has a very large matrix organisation,” Noble explains. “So we do have the traditional VPs reporting in to the CEO. We have multiple VPs in engineering, we’re probably unusual in that there’s not a single engineering VP, there’s four VPs at last count. The CIO reports in to one of those senior VPs, so it’s a very senior position close to the top.”

“I think the reason we have more engineering VPs than other companies is because of the importance of technology to Google. I mean, at the end of the day we are a technology company first and foremost. And Google uses a lot of technology.”

Remote desktop access allows a technician or a user entry to a device in either the home or desk of a client, or even elsewhere. The main idea behind this technology is that one device can be accessed by another even if they are not on the same room, city or even country. The closeness and border breaking that is the internet allows for a protocol such as this to work and help everyone on board. If you are a business owner and want your technician to help you with your device even if your half way around the world then this is definitely what you are looking for. If you are a technician yourself, you’ll know that this technology is now a standard in the business. Let’s make a walkthrough of the importance of remote desktop access for the businesses today.

Pen drives, external hard drives, cables and such. These are probably familiar to any technician and especially back in the day. Having to haul all of this cargo with you at all times can be demanding, expensive and not to mention bad for your back. One mishap and your data goes to the drain, one lack of attention and it’s a trip back to the office to get “that” drive that you forgot. You almost feel like a musician ready for a gig with all the stuff you carry but don’t get to play the guitar. Remote desktop access takes care of all these problems. You can seamlessly switch between all of the information that you need and you don’t even have to move. I know some of us might benefit from a couple of steps but the fact is that you can work for more clients and be more effective with your time.

For business owners, remote desktop access means almost no time away from your computer. It means locking your office at night and have someone work on your computer without actually being there. It also means simple workarounds if you are travelling and can get your guy to help you right away.

One of the setbacks that remote desktop access has been facing is that it’s traditionally left to work on Windows. Steve Jobs has showed us the power that other platforms have for the consumers of the world and IT’s have to able to handle all aspects of all platforms in order to diversify and complete their business. Mac remote support presents a new opportunity that has to be able to work as good as with Windows. Even more importantly, a technician must have a way to use both (or more) platforms remotely in combination without losing his mind on the process.

Smartphones have come a long way since Nokia released the Communicator way back in 1996, and where they were once a niche market for business professionals and geeks, they are now almost universal with everyone and their dog sporting a BlackBerry, the latest iPhone deal or Android phone in their pocket.

The main reason for this explosion in popularity is the huge functionality these phones allow, and with storage capacity growing all the time there is almost nothing we cannot store on our smartphones. So, what makes a great smartphone? Here are our top five features.

1. Games

One of the big things modern phones can do is play games. Sure, Nokia popularised this with the legendary Snake on its 3210 model, but it’s a whole other ball game now. Flash-enabled phones allow users to play online games and a platform’s app store not having thousands more available for download can turn a customer off – just ask Microsoft whose latest Windows Phone 7 platform, didn’t feature Angry Birds for many months.

The ability to play quality-rich games effectively is down to processor speed. The Samsung Galaxy S2’s 1.2GHz dual-core processor makes it more powerful than many low-end computers and this is by no means the exception; other high-end smartphones are not lacking in power either. This huge processing power means consumers can play hugely popular games like Deal or no Deal whenever they feel the need, or the more classic but still popular Who Wants to be a Millionaire? The more adventurous user can even install an emulator of their favourite console and play classic games from their childhood – Sonic the Hedgehog anyone?

2. HDMI output

Large processors and oodles of RAM also permit power-intense usage, like streaming an entire film from Netflix to be watched on the train, bus or on your home television set thanks to such technology as HDMI. This excellent function allows you to download a film to your device, or copy it from your PC, plug it into the television and sit back with some popcorn.

3. Tethering

Many smartphones also offer the option of tethering; using your unlimited data plan to browse the web on your computer. The speed might not be as blistering as your fibre-optic broadband, but it’s still a godsend when you’re stuck in a hotel room with no modem available.

4. Front-facing cameras

Smartphones are still phones despite all their advanced capabilities and most models still centre on communication. Twitter and Facebook integration are all well and good, but front-facing cameras are the real gem here. These are lower quality than the main camera on the rear, but they allow for video calls with applications like Skype, so you can talk face-to-face with anyone anywhere in the world. Most phones allow video calling via 3G, although the iPhone limits the use to Wi-Fi and only to other Apple products.

5. Expandable memory

There would be little point in having a phone capable of capturing and playing HD videos and photos, streaming films, playing games and music and saving documents if it only had a couple of gigabytes of storage. As people’s usage is different, most phones have a microSD slot so the user can insert a memory card to increase the storage space. This means you can upload anything you want onto the device and not worry about running out of space.

This quick rundown of five excellent capabilities of modern smartphones is by no means comprehensive, and different users will have different favourite features. These features have proven themselves to be extremely popular and invaluable to users, and they are what will push the limits of the next generation of smartphones.

Mobile gaming, like many other forms of mobile application, is really taking off. In a world where we spend ever more time getting from one destination to another, online gaming applications can make those arduous journeys far more palatable and interesting. Whether it’s online casino games or a bit of strategy that you are after, there is something for everyone. Here are five different genres of online gaming that are worth taking a look at.

Action adventure

There was a time when it would hardly have been worth getting an action game on your mobile phone; the graphics were poor and it was almost impossible to suspend your disbelief and get immersed in the adventure. Thankfully, those days are well and truly gone. With the technology available on mobile phones these days there are a multitude of high-tech action and ‘shoot ‘em up’ games on the market that are as believable as they are graphically impressive. Some of these games are now almost as good as the console versions, so there has never been a better time to download an action adventure game.

Strategy

While strategy games don’t rely on high-resolution graphics to retain their interest, they have still benefited hugely from the improved technology available to us on smartphones. With modern phones, strategy games are permitted a much higher level of complexity and this gives the game more depth and playability that will keep you entertained on the long journeys ahead.

Casino games

Many find that a game isn’t truly interesting unless there is a little money riding on it. Thanks to the advent of smartphones, online casino games have really taken off and you no longer have to be at home to have a small flutter. You can now play your favourite games like poker and blackjack (and potentially make a fortune), wherever you are. If you have already signed up you can download and play pretty much instantly. Even if you aren’t a member of a gaming site you can also sign up remotely in the space of a few minutes.

Sports and driving

Another genre that was, until recently, a pretty uninspiring affair on the mobile phone. Again however, technological advances have made driving and sports games much more credible in the last few years. Most phones allow for much easier navigation now and this is a major factor in the increased popularity of such games. You can really feel the wind through your hair on a modern driving game. A lot of these games are now also able to link you up with an online community, meaning you can race against people from all over the world.

Puzzles

Perhaps the oldest form of mobile game, puzzles still have great popularity even in our digital age. Games like Tetris, while not being able to compete with some rivals on a graphic level, still retain the interest of many millions of people and it could be argued, have great educational benefits. It’s very hard to articulate what makes these visually average games interesting, but you won’t find many people out there who haven’t, at one time in their lives, been completely and utterly glued to such a game in the hope of beating their already impossibly high personal best score. Long may they continue!

The idea of the mobile phone game has been around for a long time but it has taken a protracted period for the technology to catch up with the concept. Where it used to be pretty dull playing these sorts of games on your phone, there is now a world of discovery to undertake with online gaming as the speed and sophistication of modern phones has improved. Nowadays mobile phone games are so sophisticated it’s just like playing on your console.
