I’ve been there at the Hyderabad 10k run. This is my first time and loved it.And the best part of it is that I completed the whole 10K, though it took me 1 hour 50 mins I’m happy about completing it. The event started off with some entertainment at the People’s plaza and with Victory Venkatesh unveiling the logo and flagging off the run.Loads of people participated and finished the run including some handicapped people, small children.And there were lots of corporate groups like Google,Microsoft, Infosys etc too.There were bands performing all through out the course which made the whole event much more fun.

Great news Rajiv Gandhi international airport in Hyderabad is organizing a concert by AR Rehman as part of first anniversary celebrations.This is perhaps the first time first Rehman is performing in Hyderabad .I'm simply excited and desperate to attend a Rehman concert as it has been a dream.So wish to be there as I may leave India as early as next month I don't wanna let this chance go .Now the sad part is I can get a 1000Rs ticket at max and might end up miles away from stage.And letting my dreams run wild I wish someone gives me a 25000Rs pass. My parents and me were very clear about my career long since i remember. The plan was that I will do my bachelors in engineering and Ms from US and finally become a software engineer (what ever that means.I failed to decipher what that means even though I'm working in a Software company as Trainee).My life was full of obvious decisions, after passing from school, my stream for inter was pretty clear (MPC what else you need to become an engineer) and as for the bachelors engineering degree(Btech) part I did finish my bachelors in Engg in computer science. Every thing went according to the plan till Engg except that i was supposed to do my Btech from IIT’s but ended up finishing it in Holy Mary Institute of technology and science.Then the next step has to be Ms in Us but then came fear that threatened my beautifully planned career, the fear that i might not return to India after my masters, this fear led to some decisions that did not work - my Gate attempt (must have been a half hatred attempt).But now after retrospection, introspection,circumspection I again decided to go ahead with my original plan. Go ahead for MS in US but along with this I take up a new challenge, the challenge of coming back to India even though not immediately after Ms but definitely after some time from the comfort of USA which held back 90% of Indian who went there.At least this post should work as remainder for me when i think(heavens forbid) of settling down in US.

Voice chat missing in Yahoo messenger India

Today when I tried using my yahoo messenger India to voice chart with a friend I found a surprising fact. The yahoo messenger India does not support voice chat, despite its good glossy look the Indian version of the messenger is missing a vital feature like voice chat which people are very used to ,but the international versions do support the good old voice chart.

You will find this on the yahoo messenger India website

Well the solution for this is to get a yahoo messenger US. But before installing it be sure to remove the old messenger using Add and Remove programs from Control Panel and reboot your system.

Curious to know the reason for the absence.

The view of sun rising from behind the hills and clouds, shining upon you full and bright when you stand staring into the skies is a great view.The first rays of sun light up the snow filled peak of Kanchenjunga giving it a beautiful silver hue.I had to wakeup 3 am in the morning as the sun rises as early as 4- 4:30 am in Darjeeling and it was worth it and more.

Harley announced their formal launch in India. Five models will be available in India including Night Rod Special, Fat Boy, customized model Legend Harley and Roadster, but one has to wait till early 2010 to get one as bikes will go on sale only then.

Its official, the iconic American Bike motorcycle manufacturer with 107 years history “Harley-Davidson” is all set to make its Indian debut tomorrow (27th August 2009), there’s a countdown running on the official Harley Indian site (check it out here).The Milwaukee based manufacturer is finally entering Indian market after repeated news of its entry from 2006.

The Oldest bike manufacturer popular for its Cruiser style bikes is all set to bring some of its models in the CBU’s (completely built units) form.

New Hero Honda Karizma spied

These are the spy pics of new Hero Honda Karizma doing rounds on the internet . While the Bajaj has got their pulsar 200 and 220 and Yamaha their R15, Hero Honda was still struck with their aging Karzima which got its only upgrade in the form of an added R and sticker change. Now it looks like the Hero Honda is up for it with the new full fared Karizma. The new Karizma will be the only other bike in India with full front fairing along with the R15.

Some new features:

New handle bars.
Full front faring.
Nice faring embedded clear lamp indicators.
Hayabusa inspired graphics on faring.
Rear disc braking
Gas shocks
Split grab rails
LED tails light

And some questions :

While every body on the internet call the new karizma PGM-Fi (programmable fuel injected) we have to wait and see if it really is fuel injected.
The Power ?. Did Hero Honda Make any changes in the CC.

As expected the Apache 180 is here launched on Monday , as an introductory offer this mean machine will be available at an attractive price of Rs 63,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi) .The bike produces 17.3PS @ 8500rpm and 15.4Nm @ 6500rpm.

This 180cc bike will be seen competing with other bikes in the premium segment like the Bajaj Pulsar 180 and 200.Also there is no fuel injection TVS claims the new apache RTR 180 to reach 60kmph from standstill in 4.15 seconds and top speed as 125kph.

After the yesterdays loss against England the defending champions are on their way back home. Inspite of being defending champions India failed to produce any inspired performances in the world cup.One of the major reasons for the failure is Indian batsmen’s inability to play on bouncy English pitches Raina,Ghambir,Rohit Sharma have all fell for short deliveries in one match or the other. Now its interesting to see how Dhoni will handle things after this loss.

Ashutosh Gowariker to direct film on Buddha in English

Gowariker who is currently working on What's Your Raashee?, a romantic comedy starring Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja is all set to direct a film based on Buddha in English.Indian telecom conglomerate Spice Group is set to produce the film under the name Spice Enfotainment."Buddha", with a diverse cast and crew, is expected to go on the floor in May 2010 and be completed by the end of the year.

Ashutosh’s recent film Jodha Akbar is slow but decent film based on the life of Akbar the great and I personally liked it . So a good film is expected from the Ashutosh as he is known to research well on the subject before directing.
