Activision and developers Treyarch have finally decided to reveal the long awaited third DLC pack for Black Ops 2 called Vengeance. Vengeance will like previous DLC packs before it bring four new multiplayer maps and one new Zombies map. Vengeance will also bring a Zombies exclusive DLC weapons called the Ray Gun Mark II which as the name suggests is an evolution of the Ray Gun.

The four multiplayer maps include Cove which takes place at a rocky Island somewhere in the Indian ocean, Detour taking place on a bridge with multiple levels, Rush which takes place in a Paintball Arena and finally Uplink which takes place at a satellite control facility and is a re-imagining of Black Ops’ Summit.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-78MwnAAXI

The Zombies map in Vengeance is called buried and is themed around the old wild west and will take place in a underground cave. The party characters will have tons of information to share as the story progresses, the map will also feature a new character to the Zombies storyline which could either be a friend or foe. The Zombie weapon included in Vengeance Ray Gun Mark II is supposedly very powerful and can kill hoards of Zombies in a single go.

Black Ops 2 Vengeance DLC pack hits Xbox Live July 2nd and will be available on PS3 and PC a month later. Will you be getting the Vengeance DLC pack? Let us know in the comments below.

A charging dock is quickly becoming one of the most popular accessories users wants to buy for their smartphones, now as phones are getting smarter than ever these simple charging docks are quickly evolving into what Samsung calls a Smart Dock. Samsung recently launched a Smart Dock compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3 which allowing users to turn their smartphones into mini desktop computers.

This particular dock that we’re reviewing includes an HDMI port, three USB 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm stereo audio jack and a microUSB port to charge the phone of course. These connectivity options will allow you to connect your phone to a TV or monitor via the HDMI port, connect an external keyboard, mouse and even external storage via the USB ports, connect external speakers via the 3.5mm audio jack while the phone is being charged by the microUSB port.

Instead of the dock you could get separate MHL, OTG, AUX and other cables to fulfill the purpose but the dock makes everything so simpler. It’s so small and easy to carry, has a beautiful design and is very simple to use. In short the extra price gets you a much better product. Also as far as compatibility with devices is concerned the dock will work seamlessly with the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S4 but with the Galaxy S3 it won’t be able to power a USB drive.

The Smart Dock also has a full software overlay displayed on the device connected that displays the weather and other details similar to what we get on Motorola’s docks. I’ve been using the dock to mirror my Galaxy S4 on my TV for a few days now and the display quality is splendid, there is little to no lag while browsing and movies and other media played have exceptional quality.

The Smart Dock isn’t for everyone though, most casual users will be put off by somewhat low app compatibility and the fact that most if not all Android apps work better with the touchscreen than a keyboard or mouse. I consider the Smart Dock a niche item which will be very useful to those who need a tiny computer in their pockets that has the ability t0 turn into a proper desktop.

A short note though, if you’re planning to use the Smart Dock with a cover make sure you use the official Samsung ones, I tried using it with my third party leather cover on my Galaxy S4 and it was a pretty tight fit so I took the cover off.

Looks like the recently announced iOS 7 will be getting a feature Android users have had for quite a while now, of course I’m talking about a cellular data monitor which was announced in Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich if I remember correctly.

iOS 7 which Apple tout to be the ‘biggest change since the introduction of the iPhone’ is true to quite some extent as it introduces a radical new change with a slurry of new features. iOS 7 was revealed at the yearly WWDC conference just a few weeks ago to a mixed response, fans who’ve been used to the static iOS design feared the aesthetic changes would iOS for the worse but I personally believe it’s a much needed refresher.

The built-in data monitor will allow users to find out exactly how much data a specific app is consuming, thanks to this users should be able to save quite the pocket change on their data plans.

What do you think of the feature? Let us know in the comments below.

Some rumors sparked up just before this year’s Google I/0 conference that Google was working on a $35 HDMI dongle called the ChromeKey.

According to Droid-Life Chromekey is an HDMI that plugs into an empty HDMI slot on your TV and then mirrors content played from your smartphone, tablet or computer.

The specs of the Chromekey won’t be that impressive considering it’s just an HDMI dongle, rumor is that it’ll be “a single core processor, 2GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, VP8 (Chrome mirroring), CEC compatibility, video resolution at 1080p, and is powered by USB (or an adapter).”

As mentioned earlier the price will be somewhat around $35 and Google might also throw in free shipping when your pre-order the device.

Let us know your thoughts on the Chromekey in the comments below.

Android Trojans have been pretty rare in the last couple of years as Google continues to make it’s operating system more secure. But the danger is not over yet as Kaspersky Lab Expert Roman Unuchek has discovered what he claims is “the most sophisticated” Android Trojan.

This Trojan can apparently send text messages to premium rate numbers, install other companion malware programs, share files via Bluetooth and execute commands in the console. The Trojan is called Backdoor.AndroidOS.Obad.a.

The Trojan is able to access power via the DEX2JAR error and two main Android flaws with one of them being the AndroidManifest.xml file and the other easily allowing them to gain Device Administrator privileges.

The base Playstation 3 unit hit stores for $600 which was unseen for a gaming console, Sony will supposedly not repeat their mistakes and make their next generation console considerably cheaper. Bhatia believes the console will be priced below $400 even if it means that Sony has to take a loss like they did with the Playstation 3.

Bhatia also noted to “Never write-off Nintendo,” and that they have the potential to surprise customers.

The Playstation 4 is set to arrive this fall, more details on the console will be revealed at E3 next week.

Apple is unlikely to launch its mooted iPhone 5S until at least late August or September, which may encourage those currently looking at iPhone 5 contract deals to simply opt for one of those instead.

The purported launch date is suggested by industry expert Peter Misek, an analyst for Jefferies, who told Bloomberg TV that it’s also unlikely any drastic changes to the handset’s appearance will be made with the next update. This may perhaps be unsurprising news to those who have followed the manufacturer’s products over recent years, with the iPhone 4S mainly focusing on making some slight changes to the internals used for its predecessor.

Misek believes that production will likely commence in late June or early July based upon information it had gathered from a large number of production companies. Using this knowledge he surmised a rough release date working on the basis that “it typically takes 60-90 days of production before the phone is introduced to retail. And it hasn’t gone into production, yet”.

The iPhone 5 boasts an eight-megapixel camera, but it is thought that the 5S may increase this to 12-megapixels, which may in the long term help the company to overcome the challenge posed by other popular smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S4.

One thing that does seem unlikely though is an increase to a five-inch display to match the rival handset, with a four-inch screen size expected to be maintained. For people considering whether to get a new iPhone this could have various pros and cons, because although the display may be easier to view it also means the product is larger and perhaps less practical for some individuals to carry around with them on a daily basis.

Apple’s latest handset does boast a number of impressive features of its own, such as access to thousands of apps and games via the App Store and a choice of 16 GB, 32GB or 64GB memory. So you needn’t ever be short of space to save your photos and games.

The 5S may, it is rumoured, also integrate some previously unseen technology, such as fingerprint technology and might even come in a selection of colours rather than the black or white options available on its existing range of phones.

With no exact details confirmed regarding its next move, it may choose next month’s Apple Worldwide Developer’s conference to unveil further information. It has already promised the event will discuss the future of iOS.
