What's new in Firefox 4.0

After more than a year of development and months of delays, the final version of the Firefox 4.0 web browser has arrived. Based on the latest Gecko rendering platform, it adds a range of improvements and new features over the previous 3.6.x branch.
As previously announced, the Mozilla Project has released the final version of Firefox 4, the non-profit organisation's next generation web browser based on version 2.0 of the Gecko rendering platform (the Firefox 3.6 branch uses Gecko 1.9.2). This major update to the open source browser arrives after more than a year of development which included twelve beta releases and two release candidates, as well as a number of delays which postponed the arrival of the final version.

Firefox 4.0 includes a new "Tabs On Top" layout across all platforms. Vergrößern Firefox 4 features a range of improvements and new features aimed at both users and developers alike. Once installed, Firefox 3.x users will immediately notice a new default 'tabs on top' layout across all platforms – on Windows 7 and Vista systems, the Firefox button also has a new look and support for Aero Glass has been added. With the new Tab Groups feature, also known as "Panorama", users can better manage their tabs by zooming out of the current browser tab to view a grid of thumbnail images for each open tab.

The stop and reload buttons have now been merged into a single button and the new Bookmarks Button has replaced the Bookmarks Toolbar. However, the developers note that users can "switch it (the Bookmarks Toolbar) back if you'd like". Additionally, users can now turn any browser tab into an "App Tab" by right-clicking on it and selecting "Make into App Tab" from the context menu. The Firefox Start Page (about:home) has also had its design refreshed.

Source: Mozilla Under the hood improvements include a new JavaScript engine called JägerMonkey that is up to six times faster than that used by Firefox 3.6, and built-in Direct2D Hardware Acceleration for Windows7 users which takes advantage of users' built-in graphics hardware – the GPU – on Windows systems using DirectX10 to improve overall graphics performance; this allows the browser to load and display graphically intensive websites even faster. Some graphics rendering operations are now also hardware-accelerated using Direct3D9 on WindowsXP, Direct3D10 on Windows7 and Vista, and using OpenGL on Mac OSX. According to the developers, OpenGL support for Linux will arrive in a future release. On Mac OSX systems, the browser takes advantage of the Core Animation rendering model for plugins helping them to be drawn even faster and more efficiently.
He is Managing Director of Formula Capital and has written 6 books on investing. His latest book is I Was Blind But Now I See. You can follow him@jaltucher.

Iʼm writing this white sitting in a hotel room. To my left is the Pacific Ocean and all the magical San Francisco fog stuff people kept whispering to me about. About 12 floors downstairs Claudia is doing yoga in the gym.

About four feet directly behind me is a woman that is a complete stranger to me who is having an unbelievably long orgasm. Thereʼs a wall between us. Hold on a second while I take a glass and listen against the wall.

If there was no wall there then this whole thing would probably have been pretty awkward. I probably would not have been able to keep staring at the computer screen, for instance.

—

Sex is like driving. In polls, nine out of ten people think they are “above average”. Letʼs say for a second that “average equals median” (I donʼt want to get into basic math arguments in the comments). Clearly, then, itʼs impossible for nine out ten people to be above average.

Itʼs also like sales or negotiating or poker or being “a good judge of people”. Nine out of ten think they are above average.

Most people have overinflated views of their performance in a variety of areas.

Letʼs go back to Malcolm Gladwellʼs book, “Outliers” for a second. To guarantee being among the best in the world at something you pretty much need 10,000 hours of practice as per his “10,000 hour rule”. He cites the Beatles as an example. They were basically average, then they put in their 10,000 hours by playing 24 hours a day for a few years in German strip clubs and then they became the best band in history. You can argue Bobby Fischer was a fairly average chess player until he put in his 10,000 hours. Then he was the best in history. My friend Ylon made nothing in poker for ten years then suddenly made $3 million and was among the best in the world. He put in his 10,000 hours. (See, “My Year Where I Did Nothing But Play Poker”)

You donʼt have to be the best in history to be above average. But most things that are worth doing (being an entrepreneur, amassing a good amount of money as a result) have a very steep learning curve and then it flattens out. So maybe 1000 hours gets you better than most people (above average) and then the next 2000-5000 hours gets you to be the best in your circle of colleagues (i.e. good enough to make a great living at it) and then from 5000-10,000 hours is the subtle refinements that are needed to be the best in the world.

They require 5000 hours precisely because they are unobvious and subtle.

But thatʼs ok. Who cares about the other 5000 hours. Itʼs the first 2000-5000 hours that are the most important. We need to feed our families and then be able to enjoy life. Not everyone needs to be the Beatles (who, its unclear if they were ever truly happy) or Steve Jobs (who was screaming on the phone at Eric Schmidt months before his death about how much he was going to sue Google for stealing the Android operating system). (See also, “10 Unusual Things I Didn’t Know About Steve Jobs”)

Based on my own experience being an entrepreneur and talking to hundreds of other entrepreneurs, 2000-5000 hours experience is whatʼs needed to be a successful entrepreneur. Successful enough to build a product people want, get revenues, sell the business.

Itʼs nice to have the 2000-5000 hours in your passion or field of interest and then spend the next 10,000 hours focusing on how to be happy and healthy. This is my recommendation at least.

What do you do during those 5000 hours. How do you get better at something? If you are doing any of the below then you have my permission to clock in on the 5000 hours, but I think the below have to be done with balance. You canʼt do one without the others:

Experience. The Beatles would never have gotten good if they just read books about music. Tiger Woods started swinging the club (iʼm being literal) when he was three, etc. If you want to be an entrepreneur, start coming up with ideas now, ideas that are doable with limited resources. Start doing them, start selling them to customers, investors, acquirers. Just start.
Self-analysis. Thinking about what you are doing and coming to logical conclusions about how to be better. For instance, in poker, reviewing the hands you played that day and thinking of ways you couldʼve played them differently.
Tutor/Mentor. Every great chess player has had a teacher. I donʼt really think there are any exceptions to this. That probably goes for most games, sports, or anything thatʼs difficult to get good at (race car driving, etc). Most entrepreneurs I know have had mentors. For myself, I worked at a big corporation before I was an entrepreneur. The corporation: HBO / TIme Warner, is one of the best-run mega-corporations out there. The corporation itself was my business mentor (“corporations are people, my friend” – Mitt Romney). Iʼve also spent a lot of time with one of the best unsung businessmen in history.
History. The Beatles clearly studied the music of Elvis. They probably also studied jazz from the 20s. My guess is they also studied the art of the fugue from Bach. Bobby Fischer once disappeared for a year (as a 13 year old) and studied every game played in the 1800s. When he resurfaced he had subtle improvements on obscure chess openings (the Latvian Gambit, for instance) that were last seen at high-level play in the 1800s. A great example of his knowledge of the history of chess is how he secured a draw in the last game of the Fischer-Spassky match when he transposed a complicated very modern Sicilian Defense into an old, drawish Scotch Gambit to secure the draw and win the match.
Talking. Associating with not just tutors but other serious students of the field you are interested in is a good way to exchange ideas, synthesize the ideas you have about the field you are in with the ideas you have, mate them, and come up with new ideas that neither of you wouldʼve thought on your own. The collaboration between Lennon and McCartney being a great example of this. The collaboration between Brin and Page being a modern entrepreneurial version of this. (See, “Why is Larry Page different than me and why didnʼt Google buy my company?”)
Failure. Learning from your accidents (“I will no longer drive through a Stop sign”) catapults you through the learning curve very quickly. My kids often give up instantly when they lose at something. Thatʼs ok. They just arenʼt interested. But once you find something where you pick yourself up and you say, “I have to do better next time.” Then you know you are onto something – a passion, a dream, the field where you can become a grandmaster, the field where you can become an entrepreneur. Itʼs a secret you learn about yourself and you can be privately proud that at last you have found the area where very few people will be able to compete. 99% of people give up after a failure in a field. Itʼs the best filter that will tell you that you will eventually succeed. Then, once you fail and want to learn from it – go to #2 above – Self-Analysis, and begin anew.
Explore. How do you get to be a great computer scientist? Study biology. How do you get to be a great investor? Study music. Ideas mate with each other and then evolution will get rid of the deformed offspring and keep the offspring that quickly adapt to the new generation of trials. The only way to have those offspring in your hands is to fully explore brand new fields and make the connections, correlations, causations between the field of your interest and the new field you are studying. I would like to get good at meditation, for instance. What I have found recently is that studying quantum mechanics provides unbelievable insights that I would not have dreamed of. Or being a good daily blogger – I found that studying the insights of Charlie Brown has been immensely helpful.
Balance - In the post, the Nine Ways To Guarantee Success, I list nine things that could get in the way of success for entrepreneurs but it really applies to any endeavor. Avoiding the nine obstacles of: sickness, doubt, vacillating, etc

Then the question is: why do I need to be great at anything. Canʼt I just get by? Sure, but then you probably wonʼt have as much fun in life as the woman with the forty five minute orgasm who is presumably sleeping blissfully just four feet from me.

How to trace an IP of remote system (web+messenger)

Introduction::

In here I have figure out some very easy but cool ways to trace out the geographical location and various other infos like ISP details etc of a remote computer using its IP.
Well I guess its one of the most important must learn manul for boys out there if you want to impress your friends particularly gals whom you’ll meet online in a chat room and tell them their geographical locations and ISP details and make them surprised and impressed J.
In the practical execution of this manual you don’t have to work much as it is very simple only you have to use your brain to understand some symbols and some format of expressions and use your IQ to execute things the right way.

What is IP and how to get the IP of a remote system::

Getting the IP or Internet Protocol of a remote system is the most important and the first step of hacking into it. Probably it is the first thing a hacker do to get info for researching on a system. Well IP is a unique number assigned to each computer on a network. It is this unique address which represents the system on the network. Generally the IP of a particular system changes each time you log on to the network by dialing to your ISP and it is assigned to you by your ISP. IP of a system which is always on the network remains generally the same. Generally those kind of systems are most likely to suffer a hacking attack because of its stable IP. Using IP you can even execute system commands on the victim’s computer.
Lets take the example of the following IP address: 202.144.49.110 Now the first part, the numbers before the first decimal i.e. 209 is the Network number or the Network Prefix.. This means that it identifies the number of the network in which the host is. The second part i.e. 144 is the Host Number that is it identifies the number of the host within the Network. This means that in the same Network, the network number is same. In order to provide flexibility in the size of the Network, here are different classes of IP addresses:

Address Class Dotted Decimal Notation Ranges
Class A ( /8 Prefixes) 1.xxx.xxx.xxx through 126.xxx.xxx.xxx
Class B ( /16 Prefixes) 128.0.xxx.xxx through 191.255.xxx.xxx
Class C ( /24 Prefixes) 192.0.0.xxx through 223.255.255.xxx

The various classes will be clearer after reading the next few lines.

Each Class A Network Address contains a 8 bit Network Prefix followed by a 24-bit host number. They are considered to be primitive. They are referred to as "/8''s" or just "8's" as they have an 8-bit Network prefix.
In a Class B Network Address there is a 16 bit Network Prefix followed by a 16-bit Host number. It is referred to as "16's".

A class C Network address contains a 24-bit Network Prefix and a 8 bit Host number. It is referred to as
"24's" and is commonly used by most ISP's.

Due to the growing size of the Internet the Network Administrators faced many problems. The Internet routing tables were beginning to grow and now the administrators had to request another network number from the Internet before a new network could be installed at their site. This is where sub-netting came in.

Now if your ISP is a big one and if it provides you with dynamic IP addresses then you will most probably see that whenever you log on to the net, your IP address will have the same first 24 bits and only the last 8 bits will keep changing. This is due to the fact that when sub-netting comes in then the IP Addresses structure becomes:

xxx.xxx.zzz.yyy

where the first 2 parts are Network Prefix numbers and the zzz is the Subnet number and the yyy is the host number. So you are always connected to the same Subnet within the same Network. As a result the first 3 parts will remain the same and only the last part i.e. yyy is variable.
***********************

For Example, if say an ISP xyz is given the IP: 203.98.12.xx Network address then you can be awarded any IP, whose first three fields are 203.98.12. Get it?

So, basically this means that each ISP has a particular range in which to allocate all its subscribers. Or in other words, all subscribers or all people connected to the internet using the same ISP, will have to be in this range. This in effect would mean that all people using the same ISP are likely to have the same first three fields of their IP Addresses.

This means that if you have done a lot of (By this I really mean a lot) of research, then you could figure out which ISP a person is using by simply looking at his IP. The ISP name could then be used to figure out the city and the country of the person. Right? Let me take an example to stress as to how cumbersome but easy (once the research is done) the above method can be.

In my country, say there are three main ISP’s:

ISP Name Network Address Allotted

ISP I 203.94.47.xx
ISP II 202.92.12.xx
ISP III 203.91.35.xx

Now, if I get to know the IP of an e-pal of mine, and it reads: 203.91.35.12, then I can pretty easily figure out that he uses ISP III to connect to the internet. Right? You might say that any idiot would be able to do this. Well, yes and no. You see, the above method of finding out the ISP of a person was successful only because we already had the ISP and Network Address Allotted list with us. So, what my point is, that the above method can be successful only after a lot of research and experimentation. And, I do think such research can be helpful sometimes.

Also, this would not work, if you take it all on in larger scale. What if the IP that you have belongs to someone living in a remote igloo in the North Pole? You could not possibly get the Network Addresses of all the ISP’s in the world, could you? If yes please send it to me J.

Well now I guess you have pretty good knowledge about what an IP is and what you can do by knowing the IP of a remote system. Now lets come to the point of finding out the IP of remote system.
Well you can easily figure out the IP of a remote system using the netstat utility available in the microsoft’s version of DOS. The netstat command shows the connections in which your system is engaged to and the ports they are using. Suppose you are checking your mail in hotmail and you want to find out the IP of msn. All you need to do is to open a dos window (command.com) and type netstat. You will see all the open connections of your system. There you will see something :

Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
TCP rahul:1031 64.4.xx.xx:80 ESTABLISHED

Now you got the IP address of hotmail ass 64.4.xx.xx .
Similarly you can figure out the IP address of most http or ftp connections.

To know your own IP type the following command in a dos windows
C:\netstat –n
[this commands converts the IP name into IP addresses]
this is what you will probably see on typing the above command :

Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1031 194.1.129.227:21 ESTABLISHED
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1043 207.138.41.181:80 FIN_WAIT_2
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1053 203.94.243.71:110 TIME_WAIT
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1058 194.1.129.227:20 TIME_WAIT
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1069 203.94.243.71:110 TIME_WAIT
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1071 194.98.93.244:80 ESTABLISHED
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1078 203.94.243.71:110 TIME_WAIT

Here 203.xx.251.161 is your IP address.

Now lets clarify the format used by netstat :

Proto : It shows the type of protocol the connection with the remote system is using.
Here TCP (transmission control protocol) is the protocol used by my system to connect to other systems.

Local Address : It shows the local address ie the local IP. When the netstat command is executed without –n switch then the name of the local system is displayed and when the netstat is executed with –n switch then the IP of the local system is displayed. Here you can also find out the port used by the connection.
xxx.yyy.zzz.aaa:1024
in this format you will see the local address. Here 1024 is the port to which the remote system is connected in your system

Foreign Address :: It shows the IP address of the remote system to which your system is connected. In this case also if the netstat command is excuted with –n switch then you directly get the IP of the victim but if the netstat is executed without –n switch then you will get the address of the remote system. Something like

C:\netstat
Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
TCP rahul:1031 msgr.lw4.gs681.hotmail.com:80 ESTABLISHED

Here msgr.lw4.gs681.hotmail.com is the address of the foreign system . putting this address in any IP lookup program and doing a whois lookup will reveal the IP of the remote system.

Note: The port to which your system is connected can be found from this in the same way as I have shown in the case of local address. The difference is that, this is the port of the remote system to which your computer is connected to.
Below I have produced a list of ports and popular services generally found to be running.
21 :: FTP port
80 :: http port
23 :: Telnet port

Note: If your execute the netstat command and find ports like 12345,27374 are open and are in use then make it sure that your sweat heart computer is infected with her boyfriend.. J J J J I mean your computer is infected with some sort of Trojan.
Below I have produced a list of commonly known Trojans and the ports they use by default. So if you find these ports open then get a good virus buster and get these stupid servers of the Trojans kicked out. Well if you want to play with these Trojan by keeping them in your computer but not letting them ruin your system performance then just disble it from the system registry run and they wont be loaded to memory each time when windows starts up[This trick doesn’t work for all Trojans].

Netbus :: 12345(TCP)
Subseven :: 27374(TCP)
Girl Friend :: 21554(TCP)
Back Oriface :: 31337 (UDP)

Well guys and gals I hope you are now well familiar with the term IP and what is the utility of IP in cyber world and how to get the IP of a remote system to which you are connected. I hope you find my writings very easy to undertstand. I know I lack the capacity of explaining myself but I try my level best to make things very easy and clear for you’ll.

How to get the IP of a remote system while chatting through msn messenger ::

This is a tutorial on how to get IP address from MSN messenger. This is actually
a really easy thing to do. It is not like going through the hard time and reversing
MSN messenger like many people think.
The IP address is only given when you accept or are sending a file through MSN
messenger. When you send IM's, the message is sent through the server thus hiding
your victims IP and your. But when you send a file or recieve a file, it is direct
connection between the two computers.
To obtain the IP accept a file transfer or send a file to the victim, when the file
sending is under way from the dos prompt type "netstat" without the quotation marks.
You should get a table like this:
Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
TCP kick:1033 msgr-ns29.msgr.hotmail.com:1863 ESTABLISHED
TCP kick:1040 msgr-sb36.msgr.hotmail.com:1863 ESTABLISHED
TCP kick: <remote HOST> ESTABLISHED
The top name in the list is the server's address for IMing. There could be many of
the second name in the list, as a new connection is made to the server for every
room you are IMing to. You are looking for the address of the remote host in
this table it may be something similar to "host63-7-102-226.ppp.cal.vsnl.com" or “203..64.90.6”.
without the quotation marks.
All you need to do now is to put this address in you IP lookup programe and get the IP of the remote system.

Well 50%of the work is done now. Now you know how to get the IP of a remote system, so its time to trace it down and find some details about the IP.

Tracing an IP is quite simple. You can do it the easy way by using some sweet softwares like Visual Trace 6.0b
[ftp://ftp.visualware.com/pub/vr/vr.exe]
Neotrace
[http://www.neoworx.com/download/NTX325.exe]
or by our way ie. Using MS DOS or any other version of DOS.
Well I suggest you to use DOS and its tracert tool for tracing the IP cause using it will give you a clear conception about the art of tracing an IP and I guarantee that you will feel much satisfied on success than using a silly software. Furthur you will know how things work and how the IP is traced down and the different networks associated in this tracing process.

Let us take a look at tracert tool provided for DOS by Microsoft.
It is a very handy tool for peoples need to trace down an IP.
Just open any DOS windows and type tracert.

C:\windows>tracert

Usage: tracert [-d] [-h maximum_hops] [-j host-list] [-w timeout] target_name

Options:
-d Do not resolve addresses to hostnames.
-h maximum_hops Maximum number of hops to search for target.
-j host-list Loose source route along host-list.
-w timeout Wait timeout milliseconds for each reply.

You will now see a description of the tracert command and the switches associated with it.
Well these switches doesn’t makes much difference. All you can do is to increase the timeout in milliseconds by using –w switch if you are using a slow connection and the –d switch if you wish not resolve address to hostnames by default.
By default tracert performs a maximum of 30 hops trace. Using the –h switch you can specify the number of hops to perform.
Now its time for execution.
Let us trace down the IP yahoo.com [216.115.108.243]

TIP: If you have done a long research (I mean a lot) then simply looking at the IP you can figure out some info from it. For example the IP 203.90.68.8 indicates that the system is in India. In India IPs generally begin with 203 and 202

C:\WINDOWS>tracert yahoo.com

Tracing route to yahoo.com [216.115.108.243] over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 308 ms 142 ms 127 ms 203.94.246.35
2 140 ms 135 ms * 203.94.246.1
3 213 ms 134 ms 132 ms 203.94.255.33
4 134 ms 130 ms 129 ms 203.200.64.29
5 122 ms 135 ms 131 ms 203.200.87.75
6 141 ms 137 ms 121 ms 203.200.87.15
7 143 ms 170 ms 154 ms vsb-delhi-stm1.Bbone.vsnl.net.in [202.54.2.241]
8 565 ms 589 ms 568 ms if-7-0.bb8.NewYork.Teleglobe.net [207.45.198.65]
9 596 ms 584 ms 600 ms if-3-0.core2.NewYork.teleglobe.net [207.45.221.66]
10 * * * Request timed out.
11 703 ms 701 ms 719 ms if-3-0.core2.PaloAlto.Teleglobe.net [64.86.83.205]
12 694 ms 683 ms 681 ms if-6-1.core1.PaloAlto.Teleglobe.net [207.45.202.33]
13 656 ms 677 ms 700 ms ix-5-0.core1.PaloAlto.Teleglobe.net [207.45.196.90]
14 667 ms 673 ms 673 ms ge-1-3-0.msr1.pao.yahoo.com [216.115.100.150]
15 653 ms 673 ms 673 ms vl20.bas1.snv.yahoo.com [216.115.100.225]
16 666 ms 676 ms 674 ms yahoo.com [216.115.108.243]
Trace complete.

Note: Here I have traced yahoo.com. In place of yahoo.com you can give the IP of yahoo or any other IP you want to trace, the result will be the same.

Now carefully looking at the results you can figure out many information about yahoo’s server [216.115.108.243]
First packets of data leave my ISP which is at 203.94.246.35 .Similarly you can find out the different routers through which the packets of data are send and received to and from the target system. Now take a look at the 13th line you’ll see that the router is in PaloAlto.Teleglobe.net from this you can easily figure out that the router is in Palo Alto. Now finally look at the target system ie. Yahoo’s server vl20.bas1.snv.yahoo.com . Now you got the address of yahoo’s server. Now put this address in any IP lookup programe and perform and reverse DNS lookup and you will get most of the info about this address,like the place where it is in.
Well another thing you can find out using the tracert tool is that the number of hops (routers) the target system is away from you. In case of tracerouting yahoo.com we find that the target system ie yahoo’s server is 16 hops away from my system. This indicates that there are 16 routers between my system and yahoo’s server.

Apart from tracing an IP you can find out many usefull details about the target system using the tracert tool.

Firewall Detection

While tracerouting a target system, if you get * as an output then it indicates timeout error. Now if you peform another tracerout to the same taeget system at some other time with a good connection and in this way few times more and if you always get * as the output then take it for sure that the target system is running a firewall which prevents sending of data packets from the target system.

Example

Some days ago I tried to tracert hotmail’s server in plain and simple way using tracert without any trick.This is what I found out :

c:\windows>tracert 64.4.53.7

Tracing route to lc2.law5.hotmail.com [64.4.53.7]

over a maximum of 30 hops:

Trace complete.

I performed the same tracert many times a day but concluded with the same result. This indicates that the systems after the router SanJose1.Level3.net has firewalls installed which prevents the outgoing of data packets.

Detecting Traceroute Attempts on your System

You can detect that an attacker is performing a traceroute on your system, if you see the following symptoms:

1. If you observe port scans on very high UDP ports. This symptom means that the attacker has performed a traceroute on your system. However, it could also mean a simply port scan. Either way, it signifies the fact that your system is being scanned.

2. If the packet-monitoring tool installed in your network, picks up several outgoing TTL-exceeding messages, then it is yet another sign that someone is doing a traceroute on your system.

3. If in these log files, you also observer an outgoing ICMP port unreachable error message, then it means that since a traceroute was done on your system and as the target system i.e. your system, was reached, it responded with this error message.

You can also find our more information on the attacker (if he performs a traceroute on your system) by simply studying the sniffer log files. If you observer the TTL values, then we can easily figure out the following information on the attacker by making use of OS detection techniques discussed earlier in this white paper:
The Operating System running on the attacker’s target system.
Many of us probably have never heard those words. We have an idea of what broadband is but when it comes to speeds, the general rule is the higher the number the better right?

Well, a broadband speed test is exactly what it says it is, a test that measures the speed of your broadband Internet connection. Now, for those less technically savvy, a broadband Internet connection is a high data rate Internet connection in comparison to dial-up access over a modem.

There are many things a speed test can tell you about your Internet connection. Throughput is the amount of data that moves successfully from one place to another... usually your computer to another computer or from a website within a certain time frame.

Speed tests also measure the download speed that is the amount of data moving from server to computer, the upload speed which is the measure of speed of sending data from computer to server, and Ping which is a tool that tests hosts across an IP network and distance.

Speedtest.net offers a sophisticated, easy-to-use site that lets you test your broadband connection speed at a few clicks of your mouse. The site also lets you compare your speed to other people in the world as well as share your results and see stats for the entire world and more!

And why would you use speed tests? To find out your broadband speed and to see what else is out there in comparison. It’s important to compare broadband to the rest of the world. You might find out you’re actually below average when it comes to speed or you may find you’re the front runner in broadband internet!

Automatically download Latest TV episodes with FeedMyTorrents

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 162px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_rQY0eB3XUVI/SYaMqOoD-EI/AAAAAAAABEM/RxdG4U5ZeEQ/s320/feedmytorrents.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298076668756490306" />
Wanna Download Your Favourite TV shows Automatically in your PC, than you have to try FeedMyTorrents. Did you ever wish to run two instances for GTalk? This is possible and plain simple. Navigate to the shortcut that launches Google Talk (if not available, right click on C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe and select Create Shortcut). Open properties. Add /nomutex in the target textbox.
2. To keep GoogleTalk always on top: Go to the registry entry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk\Options, create a new DWORD show_pin and set its value to 1. Restart GTalk and you will see a pin near the minimize button.
3. To bring all GTalk windows in front press [Win] + [Esc] keys on keyboard.
4. To write in bold use *this text is bold* and for italic _this is italic_.
5. Coping someone’s avatar: Navigate to %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Google\google talk\avatars\. This directory contains all avatars cached in PNG format (rename them). Search by email in avatar.txt to find your friends avata

TopTricks for Windows Xp

Disabling Scandisk

When Windows is not shut down correctly, it will perform an AutoCheck
using CHKDSK on the next restart.

AutoCheck is executed after a short time delay. AutoCheck can be
disabled or delayed by tweaking a few Registry settings.
Run ‘Regedit’ from ‘Start Menu|Run...’
Go to ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE|SYSTE
M|CurrentControlSet|Control|Session
Manager’.
Create a new DWORD value, or
modify the existing value, called
“AutoChkTimeOut” and set it according
to the value data below.
Value Name: AutoChkTimeOut.
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value).
Value Data: Time in Seconds or 0 to disable
(default = 10).
Exit your registry, you may need to
restart or log out of Windows for the
change to take effect.

Monitoring the system

There are various applications you can use to monitor the state of your
system at any given time. One of them is a program called CoolMon (www.coolmon.org) where you can monitor about 22 of
the most geekiest system parameters like the temperature and speed of your system fans, the number of processes running, the total available memory on your hard disk and RAM, CPU utilization, etc. Each
of these can be individually con. gured to appear on the interface. Best of all, this monitoring happens in real time. Better still, the program is free.
If you need more details than what is offered by Windows System Information or the Device Manager, try out an application called Everest Home Edition (www.lavalys.com). This application hunts through your hardware and software setup and extracts every piece of information you might need about your processor, motherboard, graphics card,
hard disk and any other piece of hardware or software information that you might care to know about your computer.

Compress drive to save disk space

its not possible to increase ur memory size but u can compress ur data to save ur disk space, this feature is available in NTFS drive..
if u have a fat or fat32 drive, u can convert it to ntfs by running a command on dos:
for c drive:
convert c:/fs:ntfs
for d drive:
convert d:/fs:ntfs
for e drive:
convert e:/fs:ntfs
run the command similarly if u have more drive...

Compresing data in NTFS

* open my computer
* select any drive(drive with NTFS format)
* right click and select properties
* click on general tab
* select "compress drive to save disk space"
* Apply and OK

ur data will remain safe...

- Changing the Location of Special Folders
You can modify the registry to change the location of special folders like:

* My Documents
* Favorites
* My Pictures
* Personal

1. Start Regedit
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
3. Double click on any locations you want to change and alter the path
4. Logoff or restart for the changes to go into effect

Eliminating the Right Click on the Taskbar
To eliminate the right click on the taskbar:

1. Start Regedit
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer
3. Add a DWORD and give it a name of NoTrayContextMenu
4. Give it a value of 1
5. Reboot

Eliminating the Right Click on the Desktop
To eliminate the right click on the desktop:

1. Start Regedit
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer
3. Add a DWORD and give it a name of NoViewContextMenu
4. Give it a value of 1
5. Reboot

These are only three tricks…..there are many more available on net…..the idea here is not to teach you how to disable right click or how to change the color, fonts, looks, etc…..The basic reason why we post this chapter is to teach that if registry is the place where all the information is stored then why cant we brake passwords from here???
E.g. I install a software on my system to guard some folders which contain material which I want to hide. In order to access the folder I have to input a password, and if it is right only then I can see the content of the folder. From this example it is clear that the password is stored somewhere in the system from where the software compares the value which I enter in the password field. For this example as well as for every other software which asks for password to access the system features including the windows login password, all these values are stored in windows registry. Whenever the user enters a password, it is compared with the value stored in the system registry, and if it is found correct only then the user is allowed to access the feature. In Windows registry we can search for specific items, keys, values or software’s using the search function in edit menu. But there is one problem the password is not stored in its original form, it is converted to some other format so that no one can recognize it. E.g.; If I set the password as “hacking” it is stored as “6167453291” or may be some other form depending upon the software. In such cases what we can do is reset the password i.e. delete the value (whatever it is). Once the value is deleted there is no password and our purpose is solved.

Hacking MSN / Yahoo

UPDATED

a small trick ll worked for me hence posting it here

Hacking MSN is actually VERY simple. Msn is designed to route the connection through a microsoft server while you are chatting. However, when a file is sent, a DCC (direct connection) is created. This was purposely done because otherwise microsoft would waste alot of bandwidth so a direct connection is made. This is your chance. Make a file transfer occur between u and a victim (try to send a big file), open up your command prompt (run "cmd" in NT/XP or "command" in 9X to get into prompt) and run netstat. usually the MSN targets IP would be above port 2000. enjoy.

If u recieve some crap like gux1-43.primus.com as the target, do a reverse DNS lookup on it. However, this occurs very rarely, mostly u will recieve a clear IP.

once u have d IP u can do anything with him by Fingerprinting.

U can protect yourself from this occurring to you by using a proxy with MSN (under connections panel in options).

___________________________________________________________________

Beware

The four most common ways of Hacking Yahoo ids are ..\

1.) Social Engineering
2.) Password Crackers
3.) Using Password Stealing Trojans/Keyloggers
4.) Fake Login Pages
Social Enginnering is actually nothing but trying to know your personal and confidential details and then using it to change your password ..BUT HOW? ok there's a forgot password option with Yahoo which asks for your B'day,Country & Zip Code & later your security question..Now generally lamers who try this mode of Hacking have lots of time to waste ..They will put you into some kinda friendship/emotional trap and try to get all the above mentioned information .It may take 1-2 days or even 1-2 month ...(Really I pitty on such lamers !! ).

Tip 1 : Never use your real information while registering on Yahoo(Infact don't use it anywhere on net)
Now if I talk bout a Hacker's perspective...

1.) The most common Security Question is "What's your Pet name?"..Now most of them answer it with very common pet names..I have put on a" names wordlist "in the worldlists section of the site so try those names n m sure u will crack it....Beside this some lamers confuse their NickName with Pet Names ..so if you know their Nick names u may be lucky lol :-)

2.) As far as country is concerned ..try out those countries which you have never heard of (weird names)...lol ( Probably thats what the smart victim thinks when he chooses a country...lmao) & do check Nepal,Phillipines & Bhutan..they r d most common

3.) Zip codes...123456 /007007/ ..something like this ...coz most of the smart victims are very lazy roflmao ...:-)
The second kinda Hacking attempt is done with the Help of Yahoo Password Crackers...I doubt bout their efficiency bt still some of them r lucky (other way round u r stupid lol)..Password Crackers & Password Changers use Brute Force Technique with their updated wordlists...WHAT IS BRUTE FORCE ?I'll make it simple ..it's like using all possible combinations and permutations on the available data and using it as a password ..You can download some frm the Yahoo Tools Section of the site ....Bt again it takes a hell lot of time to crack a password ....

Tip 2: Always use alphanumeric passwords and try to keep it atleast 8 characters long As far as Hacker's perspective is concerned...
Use the worldlist which has victims B'date,phone number,name,zipcode,lucky color,gf's name lol..words like sexy,love,cool,fun,insane,kill,hate & boss ..(You must have these personal informations or else it may take the shit out of u ..trying to hack ...).Beside this generally ppl use their vehicle number,phone number,social security number,credit card number etc as their passwords...
The third and one of the most frequently used way of hacking or stealing Yahoo password is using trojans and keyloggers ..WHAT ARE TROJANS? hmmm..read the tutorial ..I have already wrtten one ...bt still TROJANS are simple programs with a server part and the client part ..you infect the victims computer with the server part and the server then connects to the client running on your system and sends passwords and vital informations..and KEYLOGGERS are programs which record your keystrokes in a log.txt file and sends that log file to the Hacker...

The two most famous Yahoo Password stealing Trojans are Magic PS 1.5 SE ++ ( use google ) & Smart PS 1.5 SE ..once Infected by these trojans the infected server sends your password to the Hackers Yahoo Messenger id as PM 's ...

How to use MAGIC PS 1.5 ?

Ok download MPS.zip then run the mps.exe in it ...you 'll see an user inteface...check the boxes which read"Send Password" & "Send OS name " ...and then gibe an Yahoo id on which you want the Hacked Passwords to be send ..If you want some icon on it then choose the specified icon from the list and then click "Create MPS" .A server.exe will be made in the same folder or in the temp folder in windows ....Send that file to the victim and once he executes it ..Bingo u Have Hacked him/her lol ....

Tip 3: If you see a regsvr.exe file in you windows folder then u r infected ..Also check the system folder(Win98) system 32 (WinXp)...Restart your windows in DOS Mode and delete the file or press CTRL+ALT+DEL and end that process(regsvr.exe){ Not regsvr32.exe it's a system file }or see the list of files from the combo box of MPS client reading" files after install" and then delete it if you find any of them in the windows/system32 folder.Beware sometimes the new MPS creates the server in more than 1 folder.Also look for tapi1314533.exe in your system32 folder( digits after tapi will vary) ** Only solution which will heal it permanently is to install a good antivirus(Norton 2005 /AVG updates/McAfee) are the best.

Tip 4: If u see a flash of PM window disapperaing as you login into you Yahoo & see some probs with the password field(stars changing with dots or vice-versa ).then its party time u r infected ...

Tip 5: Install a good Firewall /Anti-Hacker Program to kill all remote connections or a good freezer which cleans all fresh installations in your primary drive.
As far as Hacker's perspective is concerned...
Pack/Bind the sender.exe (server) so as to make it undetectable by antivirus and then use the flash icon or the setup icon to spoof your victim .Tell him/her that the .exe file is a software patch or some kinda fun stuff and let him/her execute that file...USE THE SEND FILE option of Yahoo messenger for this coz Yahoo mail is protected by Norton so its gonna eat up your server(If nt packed properly).You can also bind the server with some good softwares and then send it but be carefull that the properties of the MPS trojan are not changed (

The last form of Yahoo Password stealing is done by using FAKE LOGIN PAGES ..Now wht the **** :-) is Fake login Page ?These are cloned pages of the real Yahoo Mail Sign in pages .They look very similar to the real conterparts and really very difficult to distinguish..Once you put inyour real id and password and press the submit button you will be either redirected to some other pasge /invalid login page but the trick had already been played by this time ..your id and password would have been mailed to the Hackers mail id by using a 3rd party SMTP server and you don't even realize that you are HACKED...

Tip 6: Always view the address bar ..If the address bar shows something like http://mail.yahoo.com or http://edit.login.yahoo.com then its the authentic page but if its something different then DONOT login.

Tip 7: Some older versions of IE support url redirecting for eg: http://mail.yahoo.com.profile=urid.123455@www.hackeme.com Now the former portion seems to be like the authentic yahoo server address but the page is being redirected to www.hackme.com so check out the URL well...

Tip8: Geocities is NOT YAHOO ..So don't get carried away ....
As far as Hacker's perspective is concerned...
Many free webhosts provide you with a feedback form option or a form mail option .So if you know a bit of HTML you can use their sever is POST ACTION = "" of the Yahoo Fake Page.Just do "Save As " of the real Yahoo page and then edit it form action section with your freeserver's address..But there's a problem..Generally these pages redirect you to THANK YOU PAGES ..So even if you manage to get the password it's of no use coz until and unless the victim is a reall ass lamer he/she would change his/her password after seeing this page ..So the best thing to do is PHP NUKE Now wats dat ?? okie you should know a bit of PHP $ <-- Values and you can code you own mailer.php and call that mailer the PHP on the submit buttons event ..Also dont forget to add some real looking HTML to your mailer the PHP ( may be a INVALID LOGIN PAGE ..)...

Beside this there's always the fear of Physical Hacking ( Some one can juzz sneak in to see your password while you are typin it ) So be carefull..Some ppl do use Password Changers bt thats similar to Password Crackers which I have mentioned above..
Remember this tutorial only teaches the basic terminology behind yahoo password stealing . Hackers are always smarter than you so you never know .....

Winamp Hacking Fr Unlimited Music

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 228px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_rQY0eB3XUVI/SUdFj5cU7uI/AAAAAAAAA2Y/PvLRLO4pofI/s320/GW711H507.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280265571132567266" />

Using a loophole in a winamp plugin, you can download and burn music from Napster for free.

music CDs, zero dollars*, obtained legally.
*Not including the cost of blank CDs

Practical how to:

0. It still encodes no faster than realtime, but this is a great way to conserve space. WAV(Out-disk) is still recommended if you are burning CDs and want to keep as much quality as possible. I can confirm that this all works.

-You can run multiple instances of Winamp at once, each converting its own song. Each instance's playback will not interfere with any of the others, illustrating the fact that this is not simply recording the music off of your soundcard. Doing this, you can get FAR MORE than 252 full 80 minute CDs within 14 days. I can confirm that this works.

You can transcode(MP3) or decode(WAV) X albums in the time it takes for the longest track on the album to elapse. And since you're not limited to only tracks from one album at a time, you can trans/decode as many tracks as instances of Winamp your computer will run limited only by your computer's resources.
Quote from Napster's official statement:

"It would take 10 hours to convert 10 hours of music in this manner."
With the updated methods, you can convert 100 hours or 1,000 hours or 10,000 hours of music in 10 hours. The only limit is your computing resources.

Hack Into a Windows XP Computer Without Changing Password

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 302px; height: 309px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_rQY0eB3XUVI/SUdDifWk-TI/AAAAAAAAA2Q/INPnyZft6FM/s320/dppl06.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280263347926006066" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 309px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_rQY0eB3XUVI/SUdDb0FK1oI/AAAAAAAAA2I/VL3hnUPCkcY/s320/dreamon.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280263233231050370" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 185px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_rQY0eB3XUVI/SUdC-e4j6sI/AAAAAAAAA2A/5tg9jDGMBhU/s320/wxplgn06.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280262729324817090" />

Another method to login to a password protected Windows even if you do not have the password is by making Windows accepting any passwords.
There is a far better way to get into Windows XP. It is easy and it does not reset the password. Hack into a computer running Windows XP without changing the password and find out all and any passwords on the machine (including admin accounts). You do not need access to any accounts to do this. Of course, do not do this on anyone elses computer without proper authorisation.

Steps to Hack into a Windows XP Computer without changing password:

1. Get physical access to the machine. Remember that it must have a CD or DVD drive.
2. Download DreamPackPL HERE.
3. Unzip the downloaded dreampackpl_iso.zip and you'll get dreampackpl.ISO.
4. Use any burning program that can burn ISO images.
5. After you have the disk, boot from the CD or DVD drive. You will see Windows 2000 Setup and it will load some files.
6. Press "R" to install DreamPackPL.
7. Press "C" to install DreamPackPL by using the recovery console.
8. Select the Windows installation that is currently on the computer (Normally is "1" if you only have one Windows installed)
9. Backup your original sfcfiles.dll by typing:
"ren C:\Windows\System32\sfcfiles.dll sfcfiles.lld" (without quotes)
10. Copy the hacked file from CD to system32 folder. Type:
"copy D:\i386\pinball.ex_ C:\Windows\System32\sfcfiles.dll" (without quotes and assuming your CD drive is D:)
11. Type "exit", take out disk and reboot.
12. In the password field, type "dreamon" (without quotes) and DreamPack menu will appear.
13. Click the top graphic on the DreamPack menu and you will get a menu popup.

15. Type "god" in the password field to get in Windows. You can also go to Passwords and select "Logon with wrong password and hash". This option allows you to login with ANY password. Note: I was unable to bring up the DreamPackPL for the first time because I have Kaspersky Anti-Virus already running in background. I believe most antivirus already labelled this tool as a Hack-Tool. A Hack-Tool is NOT a virus. DreamPackPL helps you bypass the Windows Login screen and it is not destructive.

Link exchnage

Byepass the Rapidshare data download limit

This tutorial is on about hacking into rapidshare.de....enjoy!

Rapidshare limits each user to a certain amount of downloading per day based on the users IP address. You can easily cheat rapidshare by showing a different IP address.

How do i change my IP?
1. Clear your browser cookies.
2. Open the command prompt (Start -> Run -> (type) cmd.exe)
3. Run the following simple commands (inorder):
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
4. Type exit to close the DOS window. Restart the rapidshare download job.

This trick may not work if your ISP has assigned you a static IP address. (BSNL assigns a dynamic IP)

Rapidshare has blocked my IP?
Note: If Rapidshare blocks your IP, change proxy.
Or: Rapidshare might block an IP from download for sometime. To byepass this restriction, change your IP. First obtain a IP and it’s port from www.publicproxyservers.com Then use that 'IP and port' in your browser Connection settings window. Click OK.

How do i download files from Rapidshare like a Premium user?
Go to a rapidshare download link once the timer is done right click on it and choose FlashGot Link
from the context menu. Flashget will launch the download window. Choose only 1 split file for the download to work. This works on RAPIDSHARE even without a premium account.
Note: If ur on Firefox; Install the Flashgot extension to enable integration of Firefox with Flashget download manager.
Download FlashGet Here: http://filehippo.com/download_flashget/

Rapidshare cheats

Rapidshare cheats
If you are looking for rapidshare cheats than we have got some excellent rapidshare cheats for your pleasure.

In your windows Go to Start > Run and then type cmd

On Command prompt type as follows:
type > ipconfig /flushdns < ---Enter
type -----> ipconfig /release < ---Enter
type -----> ipconfig /renew < ---Enter
type -----> exit < Enter

If you Ip address as alloted by your ISp id dynamic then this cheat will work otherwise this rapid share cheat will not work.

Trendspotting !
