Samsung has recently released emails sent back and forth between Steve Jobs and Jony Ive and Apple designer Bas Ording. The email shows Steve Jobs writing "This maybe our answer" in response to a forwarded blog post by Engadget that reviewed Samsung's fashion phone, SGH-E910.

Samsung's Fashion phone that apparently inspired Steve and his team.

iPods were popular in 2005 and iPhone hadn't surfaced yet. But Steve and other executives at were thinking of turning iPod into a mobile phone. From what we can see in the email messages, this fashion phone by Samsung inspired Steve and his team to put numbers around the click wheel of an iPod turning it into a mobile phone.

However, that iPod plus Phone concept never shone that much as Apple worked for a full touchscreen mobile phone and finally came up with 2007 iPhone. But Samsung showed it that Apple isn't always the most innovative. They too copied design idea from other companies including Samsung, with whom they are in legal dispute.
Google has recently put a Google+ sharing box on its homepage. Notably, it rarely messes around with its homepage other than the occasional Google Doodles.

This big move has recently shown the tech enthusiasts just how much serious Google is with its social networking site, Google+. Adding the share box on Google homepage means a lot of things. When someone visits Google homepage without logging in, the top right features a sign in button that previously used to be on the top bar. Immediately after signing in, users are redirected to Google homepage with the share box of Google+.

It's time that will tell us how much big steps Google will take in order to publicize its rapidly growing social networking site.

More Google Services To Be Shut Down

Because numerous products did not have the impact the company hoped for, Google has decided to shut down a number of products and features in the coming months, said a Senior Vice President on Official Google Blog.

The products that will be shut down include Google Friends Connect - to be shut down on March 1, 2012, Google Gears - to be shut down on December 1, 2012, Google Search Timeline, Google Wave (here's our recent post on this matter), Google Knol - moving to WordPress.com and will stop working on April 30, 2012 and Renewable Energy Cheaper than Coal (RE<C) project because there are institutions in better position than Google to take the research to the next level.

While Google did not show a statistics of how many people were using these services, it appears you have to visualize on your mind whether a service -- launched by Google -- has potential to create the impact it hopes for. Because if it doesn't, chances are the search giant will kill it and all your effort may just go in vain (think about Google Friends Connect on non-Blogger sites).

Google Wave Farewell Date Announced

Google has just announced the date of shutting down the user activity of its once much anticipated collaborating service, Google Wave. The company nearly a year ago stated that it would stop developing that project although users would continue to enjoy the service until it's closed down.

Google, in an email to all Wave users, stated that all the existing Wave will be read-only from January 31, 2012. However, people will still be able to export Waves as PDF using its PDF export feature. Google has not strictly said when the service will go completely offline. But from the signs of the message, it's easy to guess that the service may be turned off soon after April 30, 2012.

You will be able to continue exporting individual waves using the existing PDF export feature until the Google Wave service is turned off. We encourage you to export any important data before April 30, 2012.

As an alternative to Google Wave, the email contained two external websites for interested people to try out. Apache Wave and Walkaround are the ones that made it into Google's mass email. Walkaround could be a better choice for people who like to collaborate using service like Google Wave because it has an import from Google Wave feature so you lose nothing if you were into Wave.

Facebook Makes Photo Appear Larger

Click to enlarge. Photo courtesy: Mashable.

One of the most popular and most used feature of Facebook is its photo albums. Apart from updating status, playing Farmville and interacting with others, almost everyone on Facebook takes advantage of Facebook's unlimited photo album feature. Recently, the social networking giant has announced that it now shows larger photo in less time.

Published in Facebook's official blog, Justin Shaffer wrote, "Now, the photos you share on Facebook are bigger (720 pixels to 960 pixels) and load twice as fast, giving you quicker access to more detailed images."

Users don't have to worry about photos that have been already uploaded and share with friends as Justin added that the existing photos will appear larger as well.

Another update in the Photo feature is that Facebook is replacing its black old theater look with a white photo viewer that is significantly larger than previously the theater was. The Theater look was released back in February when Facebook officially started supporting high resolution photos.

Let us know in the comments if this change means anything to you.

Nokia has recently announced Nokia 100 and Nokia 101, two incredibly low cost mobile phones designed for users in the low end market, specially in the Asian region. This is a move to survive in the competitive field with other manufactures such as Micromax, ZTE, Symphony (available in Bangladesh only) and other non-brand Chinese handsets popular in the market.

According to the sources, the new phones will cost $30 and $35 respectively. These phones are expected to hit the market later this year.

Nokia 100 is a classic handset that is focused on making calls and sending text messages. It features a color display, traditional menu items and FM radio as additional feature. The 101 features dual SIM support in addition to these. It also supports MP3 playback and microSD memory card support for up to 16 GB, which is quite uncommon in low cost phones in the market.

Only a few years ago, Nokia was the most popular and best seller mobile manufacturer in Asian countries. However, new manufacturers including low cost Chinese handsets (some of which are identical to Nokia and other manufacturers' high budget handsets) entered the market and made the competition harder for Nokia.

On the other side, in high budget market, Nokia is also having a hard time surviving as most of the consumers are now attracted to either Apple iPhone or other smartphones that run Android, including Samsung Galaxy Series. Nokia still continues developing its smartphones with Symbian which a number of developers term as dated. However, the Finland-based company has a new hope of regaining the market with Windows Phone 7, and as it seems, it's unpredictable whether or not they will succeed in overtaking Android phones in sale.

Ever wondered how many page views does the largest social networking platform attract every month? If you're curious, there are information. According to Google's DoubleClick, in June 2011, Facebook attracted as much as 1 trillion page views and 870 million unique visits.

Interesting thing is that, Facebook attracted ten times more page views then the second most visited website, YouTube. According to data, YouTube 100 billion page views (only) and about 790 million unique users on the site. However, the stats were shown excluding sites that don't load properly, ad networks, adult websites and a few of Google's very own websites.

Facebook now has 750 million users and we expected the unique visit per month to be more than 870 million. But this shows that not everyone on Facebook is really active.

If you're not sure what the differences between page views and unique visits are, unique visit counts every single person visiting a site as long as cookies remain on their browser. If they don't wipe it out, typically a person is counted as one unique visitor for as long as one month (or the period of time you want to generate statistics of). Learn more about unique visits on Wikipedia.

Page views, on the other hand, represent how many times pages were loaded on visitors' machines. With that said, if you log in to Facebook, you first have to visit Facebook.com, logging in will redirect you to your News Feed, and clicking on a story will redirect you to its own page. Each time any page of Facebook is loaded, it's counted as page views.

It seems that the power of +1 button not only lies in improving the appearance of the content on Google search result page, but it also lets users share content across their Google+ circles, without even opening up a tab for Google+.

Google officially announced this nifty feature coming live in the next week. It lets you simply click the +1 button on any website and instantly share it with your circles. You will see the option to choose which circles you want this to be shared with.

This makes a big difference from Facebook Like buttons because with a single click on Like button, you're sharing the content with everyone (or whatever the default settings for sharing is set to) on your friend list. On the contrary, by clicking on +1 button, you can share it with circles individually. It does not even pop-up another window. It's as intuitive as it could be (see the screenshot above, click for a larger view).

Developers might have to replace or update some code on their existing +1 button from websites with a new snippet Google said will be released in the next week. However, people who are already in platform preview may download the new snippet right away and test it out on their website.

It seems that Google is actually pushing the world of content creators (and readers as well) to share what's interesting on Google+ for their own good. With that in mind, we can forget what was written by a couple of journalists (one from Forbes) who underestimated Google+ and failed to realize the potential it has.

Apple's former CEO Steve Jobs (left) and new CEO Tim Cook (right).

Some shocking news for anyone just signing in to the web. Steve Jobs, the most seen person on the Internet who was the CEO of Apple Inc. has just resigned from his position. According to Reuters, he has submitted his resignation letter to the Board of Directors.

Apple's Board of Directors announced the official step down of Steve Jobs as CEO named Tim Cook as the new CEO. Steve Jobs has been elected as Chairman of the Board. This shocking change in positions is effective immediately, which means Steve Jobs, an idol to many, is no longer the CEO of Apple.

Steve Jobs wrote in his retirement letter, "I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you."

Because Steve Jobs will be serving Apple with his unique ideas, insights and creativity as being the the Chairman of Board, Apple seemingly does not have any huge impact on this event. However, millions of people on twitter have expressed that what they care most is Steve; not necessarily Apple.

In the meantime, Reuters also reported a 7% fall in Apple's stock immediately after the news of Steve Jobs' resignation spread.

Why Steve Jobs suddenly left his position, this couldn't be clear immediately. But the most important question after Steve's serving time on Apple is will his successor, Tim Cook, be as creative as Steve Jobs was? That's something we have to keep an eye on. Maybe we'll practically know about that on the next iPhone release event.

Earlier we reported that a new law passed in Missouri and effective from August 28, 2011 prevents teachers from becoming friends with their students on Facebook. Latest on that matter is that the teachers in Missouri has filed a lawsuit against this Amy Hestir Student Protection Act.

As reported by ZDNet, the lawsuit challenges the constitutionality of the concerned act claiming it to be unlawful. According to the act, any kind of private communication between teachers and students -- that includes text messaging or online communication -- are prohibited to protect children. However, Missouri State's Teachers Association believes this goes against the teachers' first amendment rights of free speech and association.

The Amy Hestir Student Protection Act, named after a student who was molested by a teacher years earlier, has practically good sides and bad sides. By prohibiting teachers from communication students privately, the act makes sure student's aren't harassed in any way. However, on the bad side, students cannot make contact with teachers when they face difficulties understanding class assignment and in situations like that, which can be sometimes emergencies.

The Teachers Association has filed a lawsuit, therefore, for their right to make their students friends on Facebook and other medium. It's time that will tell us what's in the future of Amy Hestir Protection Law.

One of the two things the largest social networking site Facebook does is regularly changing its privacy settings (still not being satisfactory to end users). It happened again. As expected, Facebook came up with seven deadly changes on how users are exposed around the world.

The changes are mainly focused on its tagging system and sharing policy. Here is a list of six new features (along with our fancy rating) Facebook is rolling out to its 750+ million users soon:

Tag Universally
Clearly a copy-pasted feature from Google+ which, in aspects of Facebook privacy, doesn't really strengthen its settings. Now, in your comment, wall post or status update, you can literally tag anyone who's been using Facebook from any corner of the world. This really exposes everyone. Although there's an option for you to turn off the option for others to tag you, this feature isn't going to be very useful as many people have said on comments left on news blogs. We give this feature a 1/5.

Control Tagger
In a simple word, you can control who tags you in their post, and who tags others in your post. That's literally all this feature is. However, one useful update is that Facebook will now require your approval to each photo/post you're tagged on. This way, you might avoid being tagged on some embarrassing stuff. That'd be nice, for real. We'd reward this feature with a 4/5.

Do more when Removing Tags
That's all this feature is about. Whenever you don't like being tagged on a certain photo, you could simply remove the tag from the photo page or your wall. Now, Facebook thought people wanted to do different things at that very moment. That's why it will show up a window asking you whether you want just to remove the tag, or ask the uploader to take the photo down, or simply block him from your list. That's a nice feature that will save time for busy people. From our side, this feature gets a 4/5.

See Who Sees What
Another copy-pasted feature from Google+ without any doubt. Now, you can view your profile as certain people would view it. To be more exact, until now you were able to check how your profile looked when someone not in your friend list viewed it. With the new feature, you can totally see how it looks to certain person, for example, your mom or boss. That's certainly a good inclusion despite being copied from Google. We'll give it 4/5.

Public
Facebook came up with a brilliant (and LOL at the same time) logic that its "Everyone" privacy settings preset was a wrong label. It says, with that settings active, anyone might see your stuff, but 'everyone' will not see. That's why they updated the word 'Everyone' to 'Public', as seen on Google+ (third copy-pasted feature). As it literally does no improvement on the overall features, we give it a straight face rating :| !

You don't have anything to do to get these privacy settings. These will be delivered to your Facebook account soon. However, you already know what the new features are. Which of these do you think are going to be useful for you? Let us know in the comments.

HP gave up, but apparently the company wouldn't spend its last moments lazy. Probably that's why despite its falling market share, it has announced a new desktop computer focused on businesses. Reports according to Reuters.

The sources said that this is the first all-in-one PC aimed at corporate level users. The PC is called HP Compaq 8200 All-in-one Business Desktop. The computer-maker company earlier announced that it will kill production of its tablet device called TouchPad as well as other mobile devices. It might also sell off its PC unit.

Although the market share was down, Reuters reported that shared were up 4.2 percent at $24.59 in afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange in a market that was broadly up.

The world's largest computer maker company Hewlett Packard has dropped a bombshell this Thursday announcing that it will stop producing tablet devices as well as smartphones that run on webOS. Along with that, the development of webOS will also be stopped.

The Huffinton Post reported that the company is also considering to sell off its PC division as well. Analysts are saying that it's a signal that HP is changing its target from hardware to software as the current world is obsessed with mainly devices from Apple and others that run Android.

The news has shocked the world of tech enthusiasts. HP last year made a commitment to continue selling smartphones and tablets. Despite that, its webOS had potential. However, as iOS and Android is taking over, HP is probably thinking that it's time to move the business to something else.

THP also reported that HP intends to buy infrastructure software company Autonomy for as much as $10 billion. This marks the move a little clearer that hardware world is literally filled up, now it's time to concentrate on creating business class software.

We'll be observing what Hewlett Packard comes up with in near future.

Will you be missing HP products? Do you use any HP tablets? What's your reaction to this announcement?

Every time you see a 'share-worthy' tweet on your timeline, what do you do? Yes, you hit the retweet button twice. First to actually retweet, and second time to confirm that you'll retweet. You'll what?

Retweet is a common word used in Twitter. In 2008, twitter users used "RT @username" method to share a tweet with their followers. However, that technically didn't do anything. That RT in the beginning meant that it was a retweet and the @ followed by twitter username meant that it was a reply. In 2009, twitter officially rolled out the retweet option which is now an independent feature on Twitter.

Not only that, the word is used so often across twitter and across the web that it made into the Concise Oxford English Dictionary. Along with 'retweet', 'sexting' is another word that made its place there.

For the first time in Australia, figures showed that sales of Android-run devices have jumped over iPhones.

42.9 percent of smartphones sold in the country run on Android operating system while Apple iPhone has 37.2 percent share. The boost in Android sales may have been caused by brand new smartphones from Samsung and HTC including Galaxy S II, Desire S, Desire Z etc.

The report of just last four weeks show that 54% of smartphones sold in the country are Android while another 29% of smartphones are iPhone.

The Next Web wrote, "Telyste analyst Foad Fadaghi believes the rise in share of Google’s Android platform may only be temporary as consumers hold off buying a new iPhone in anticipation of Apple’s next-generation smartphone dubbed the ‘iPhone 5′. The iPhone 5, expected to launch in October, is said to sport Apple’s new dual-core A6 processor, improved cameras and will feature the new iOS 5 operating system."

Apple is also believed to be manufacturing some low-cost iPhone devices which might arrive anytime in the end of this year. With that in mind, we can say that the sales of Apple iPhones may rise up again once the iPhone 5 and low-cost iPhones hit the market.

If you use a mac, and if you have been missing games on your system, there's something for you to be happy. Rockstar Games has recently released Grand Theft Auto 3 : Liberty City on Mac App Store. It's available for download only at $14.99.

Mac users are constantly deprived of the most modern games available for Windows system today. However, the scene appears to be changing. GTA 3 was first released in 2001 and became one of the most popular and best seller game that year. The series followed other games including GTA Vice City, San Andreas and GTA 4 that topped the video game industry repeatedly.

Rockstar Games said that the sequel to GTA 3 called Vice City will also be released on Mac App Store this August 24. On September 1st, GTA San Andreas will also be available for purchase and download.

With these high profile games being available and compatible with Mac, we can imagine that the future of Macintosh computers may just have more games on it.

The outlook of all Google products have changed, why keep Gmail behind? Exactly. The folks at Mountain View, California asked this question themselves and have come up with an identical log in page for Gmail.

If you go to Gmail's Login page (without being logged in to your Google account in other tabs), you'll see the old gmail interface with a new link at the bottom to try out the new login page. We've tested it, and we sensed the look of Google+, Google Search and so on right at Gmail login page.

We have started to embrace the redesign. What about you?

So you're already on Google+ and ready to experience the changes. There are quite a few things that you cannot do on Facebook. One of them is stylizing your post/comments as Bold, Italic, Underline and so on. Google took it as a preference people might want to have and activated these options on Google+. However, for some strange reason, it's not really showcased on the platform how you can stylize your text. Don't worry, now that you're here, we'll show you how you can do that.

Bold
In order to bold out your text in Google+, all you need to do is wrap the word or sentence that should be bold with asterisks. Just like this: *This will be bold*. Post it and you'll see Google Plus transforms it into being bold. Easy enough, right?

Italic
Sometimes you want to italic your text. To do this on Google Plus, simply wrap your text with underscores like this: _This will be italic_ And you will see how your text transforms into italic when it's live on Google Plus. Simple enough, right?

<strike> Strikethrough</strike>
You <strike>always</strike> sometimes want to strikethrough your text just to draw readers' special attention into some facts that otherwise might be overlooked. You can actually strikethrough your text on Google Plus as well. Just wrap your post with hyphen and you'll see how it looks. Fun enough, right?

So, that was our basic tutorial on how to stylize your text on Google Plus and stand out from the <strike>crowd</strike> circles. Obviously you can't do these styles on Facebook. Go on, try it now and let us know how much you like it!

Would you like to start using Firefox 6? Wait, has it been released yet? Not really, but you can still use Firefox version 6. What, you don't like to mess with release candidates? Come on, it's not release candidate, it's the official release. But how on earth could you possibly download the official release even before it's actually released?

Well, as long as you are talking about Firefox 6, it's actually possible. The Mozilla Foundation has taken up a new schedule of releasing new version of Firefox every six week. As a result of that, Firefox 6 will be officially available on Mozilla website this August 16. But they made the new version available to download via their FTP servers. If you want to be one of the early adopters, you can download Mozilla Firefox 6 following these links:

Firefox 6 for Mac | Firefox 6 for Windows | Firefox 6 for Linux
(Right click and choose Save Link as..)

Since it's a quick release, there aren't many mentionable features on this new version. One thing you might start noticing right away is that the location bar now shows the root domain a little differently, which is already available in Google Chrome.

Try out the new version and let us know how you feel about it.

We've seen how Google stepped into the mobile market with its physical devices called Nexus One. Because the popularity of the smartphone was less than what Google had anticipated, the production of Nexus devices stopped. This time, Google suddenly announced that the company will acquire Motorola for $12.5 billion.

While the amount can be terrific, it is the first time Google is acquiring a company that actually produces physical devices on the market. However, most of Motorola's latest handsets are already running Google's Android operating system. Therefore, Google literally doesn't have to do much with it.

However, Google said the acquisition will supercharge the Android ecosystem. But we doubt if this might cause a bad impact on other companies' smartphones that run Android. Because Google will pay more attention to developing Motorola phones and eventually become a rival to other companies like Samsung, and other companies might just not be satisfied using an Operating system created by their rival.

Although Google said Android and Motorola will continue to run as separate businesses, we are expecting some big effect. Who knows other companies may even embrace the new smartphone OS being developed by the Mozilla Foundation.

If you are a social gaming fan and if you have been on Google+, chances are you have already started to miss some games on the site. Lately, the search giant has announced that some popular games are being brought on board with a separate page called 'Games'.

Games like "Angry Birds", "Zynga Poker", "Sudoku" and so on are very popular and well-known in other social networking sites specially Facebook. Google, in a blog post, said that it will bring these games including some other in a separate section inside Google+ called Games. The page, or tab called Games, will be accessible from the top of the page on Google+.

As user privacy has been the top most concern of Google+, the company said that the same will go with games. Users can show off their high score in games with only interested followers who will click the Games tab to show others' Games updates. In that way, those who aren't interested in Games will simply not see anything related to Games.

However, sources said that there is almost no chance that Google+ might bring FarmVille and CityVille as those may be exclusively available on Facebook. So, if you are a FarmVille freak, you still have to keep your Facebook account active.

Facebook faced some criticism from its users after few weeks ago it revamped its chat system to show up the most contacted list on its sidebar. Now, the social networking giant is testing a redesigned chat sidebar that is more like the very old way of chatting.

The new sidebar shows up the most contacted friends on top of it and adds a separator called "More Friends Online" below which other online friends from your list appear. Unlike the old chat navigator, the new sidebar goes all the way up to the top of the browser's screen to show as many contacts as possible.

The new feature reportedly hasn't been rolled out to all Facebook accounts yet. But apparently it's going to be stick and permanent chat style for a while.

It's Anonymous again, and this time, it says it's next target is Facebook, the largest social network on the planet.

Hacker group Anonymous has become famous over past months by successful hacking, data theft and website take-downs on many websites including PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, etc. It also successfully took down the entire Play Station Network and hacked into many law enforcement websites including the CIA and police. But this is the first time the hacker group is targeting any mainstream social networking platform.

According to its self theory, the group Anonymous performs 'ethical hacking' for the sake of humanity. For example, last time it took down a Syrian website in its message to remove the Syrian president that they say the Syrian people don't want.

Anonymous said in a video statement (only voice is heard after a fancy animation to Anonymous' logo), Facebook is selling all personal data despite any privacy settings users apply. Anything a user does on Facebook remains on Facebook forever. Even if the uploader deletes certain information, it's stored on Facebook. That said, Facebook is the biggest threat to privacy of general people, and that's why the group is going to "kill" Facebook on November 5, 2011.

However, Anonymous said in its Twitter stream that some of its activists are arranging the attack but the group as a whole does not claim responsibility of the operation announced.

Despite general people's carelessness about what Facebook does with their very private information, the alleged information told by the narrator in the video concerned is true. We have heard many famous security experts to say that Facebook is a continuous threat to user privacy. Although the social giant said that the current privacy settings is very tight, many think that it doesn't really work that way. And everything remains on Facebook even after you delete them is an 'unverified information' the internet has seen long ago.

Since it's Anonymous, the most famous hacker group of the present, Facebook seems to be a little worried as it didn't comment on the matter.

Watch the video statement here:

Here's a transcription of the video as seen on ZDNet.
We wish to get your attention, hoping you heed the warnings as follows:
Your medium of communication you all so dearly adore will be destroyed. If you are a willing hacktivist or a guy who just wants to protect the freedom of information then join the cause and kill facebook for the sake of your own privacy.

Facebook has been selling information to government agencies and giving clandestine access to information security firms so that they can spy on people from all around the world. Some of these so-called whitehat infosec firms are working for authoritarian governments, such as those of Egypt and Syria.

Everything you do on Facebook stays on Facebook regardless of your “privacy” settings, and deleting your account is impossible, even if you “delete” your account, all your personal info stays on Facebook and can be recovered at any time. Changing the privacy settings to make your Facebook account more “private” is also a delusion. Facebook knows more about you than your family.

http://www.physorg.com/news170614271.html
http://itgrunts.com/2010/10/07/facebook-steals-numbers-and-data-from-your-iphone/

You cannot hide from the reality in which you, the people of the internet, live in. Facebook is the opposite of the Antisec cause. You are not safe from them nor from any government. One day you will look back on this and realise what we have done here is right, you will thank the rulers of the internet, we are not harming you but saving you.

The riots are underway. It is not a battle over the future of privacy and publicity. It is a battle for choice and informed consent. It’s unfolding because people are being raped, tickled, molested, and confused into doing things where they don’t understand the consequences. Facebook keeps saying that it gives users choices, but that is completely false. It gives users the illusion of and hides the details away from them “for their own good” while they then make millions off of you. When a service is “free,” it really means they’re making money off of you and your information.

Think for a while and prepare for a day that will go down in history. November 5 2011, #opfacebook . Engaged.

This is our world now. We exist without nationality, without religious bias. We have the right to not be surveilled, not be stalked, and not be used for profit. We have the right to not live as slaves.

We are anonymous
We are legion
We do not forgive
We do not forget
Expect us

---

What do you think of the reason of the Anonymous member's attack? Do you agree with them because Facebook does sell your information without your consent?

Apple has recently announced a special version of iMac specifically designed (and priced) for schools and educational institutes. This specific version of iMac costs $200 less than regular price.

With 21.5-inch screen, 3.1GHz Intel Core i3 dual-core processor, a 250GB hard drive, and without thunderbolt driver, this iMac costs $999 only. However, smile might be gone from consumers when the truth comes to light that this less costly iMac features only 2 GB of RAM and less horsepower. With that said, this new iMac is not only cheap in price but also cheap in configuration.

Therefore, it's up to the consumers whether they can sacrifice the latest powerful stuff from iMac for the sake of $200.

The famous group of hackers called Anonymous has claimed responsibility for hacking and stealing some sensitive data from about 70 websites of law enforcement across the United States. They claimed that most of these websites were of rural law enforcement units.

Like most of the time, the group posted cached version of data they stole from different websites that included emails, credit card numbers and other information. According to news blog The Huffington Post, "Anonymous said it had stolen 10 gigabytes worth of data in retaliation for arrests of its sympathizers in the U.S. and Britain."

Police said that the data stolen by anonymous includes sensitive information such as pictures of ongoing investigation.
