Pode parecer que eu vivo de doces, mas não – também como comida salgada e tento consumir legumes e verduras freqüentemente. :)

Depois de assistir ao novo trailer de “The Dark Knight Rises” sinto que vem uma obra-prima por aí – eu não espero nada menos de Christopher Nolan. Fui ao cinema assistir a “Imortais” só por causa de Tarsem Singh; seu trabalho é visualmente tão único que mesmo que eu não soubesse que ele dirigira o filme teria adivinhado ao ver a primeira cena. Mal posso esperar pela estréia de “Drive” mas a primeira vez que ouvir falar de Nicolas Winding Refn foi quando ele ganhou um prêmio em Cannes esse ano; como sou uma criatura bastante curiosa procurei pelo perfil dele no IMDb, o que me levou a “Bronson” – agora, mal posso esperar para assistir a dois filmes do diretor. :)

O sabor de eggnog, aqui transformado em trufas (um receita bem fácil e que não pede muitos ingredientes) já apareceu na minha cozinha em forma de biscoito, crème brûlée e sorvete; adorei cada uma das versões para esse sabor clássico do Natal do hemisfério norte e, se ainda der tempo, quero experimentar o pound cake de eggnog da Flo Braker, também.

Não é todo dia que vocês me ouvirão dizer (ou melhor, me lerão escrever) que eu escolheria um bolo de amêndoa em vez de um de limão siciliano: este bolo delicioso e bastante úmido me fez acreditar que o gengibre encontrou nas nuts um amiguinho melhor do nos cítricos.

Folheando as edições de Natal antigas das minhas revistas DH encontrei esta receita de White Christmas – era fácil de fazer e parecia gostoso; as barrinhas rocky road de chocolate branco, morangos e cranberries secas que preparei há um tempo tinham sido um sucesso e estas barrinhas, pontilhadas de damascos secos e nuts, foram igualmente adoradas.
