Nokia officially announced the 6260 slide mobile phone, which can be considered as the slider version of the 6220 Classic candy-bar. The Nokia 6260 slide features a 2.4-inch 16 million color 320×480 LCD display, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with Carl Zeiss lens and dual LED flash.

6260 slide is Nokia’s first S40 platform mobile phone to have integrated GPS receiver and with A-GPS support and Nokia Maps. It supports HSUPA, HSDPA as well as WiFi connectivity.
Nokia 6260 slide will be shipped in early 2009 for Euro 299.

Alltel Motorola Hint QA30 Now Official

Alltel and Motorola made the Hint QA30 QWERTY slider official. Motorola Hint QA30 supports CDMA 1x EVDO 1700/2100/800/1900 networks. It features a 2.5-inch 320×240 LCD display, a 2 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, integrated GPS, and QWERTY keyboard.

Motorola Hint is able to capture and play video files in MPEG-4 format. MP3 audio are also supported. Hint QA30 supports up[ to 8GB of microSD external memory and has a 3.5mm stereo jack.

Motorola Hint QA30 will be available from Alltel starting from 28 November for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.

Qigi, another Chinese phone maker, announced the new i6 smartphone that can run both Android OS and Windows Mobile 6.1. i6 is available in two versions, the i6 goal running the Android and the i6 Win running the WM 6.1.

Two versions of the i6 are basically the same sporting an Marvell Monohans 624MHz processor, 2.8-inch 65k color LCD touchscreen, a 2 Megapixel camera, integrated support for GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. Qigi’s i6 supports quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks, but without 3G.

This is the iCEphone, a do-it-all mobile communication device developed by Edinburgh-based Medicalphone. Comes with three independent panels, the company calls the iCEphone a micro-notebook.

The iCEphone is powered by a Freescale iMX31 532 Mhz processor and features a 3-inch touchscreen on one of the panels and a QWERTY keyboard on another. It has a 3.1 Megapixel camera, integrated support for GPS and WiFi. There is also a layer with some function keys.
