Whether you’re just starting to think about passing the CCNA or CCNP exams, or you’ve been on the certification track for a while, you’ve got to have a plan for success. If you wanted to drive your car from Florida to California, you’d create a plan to get there. You’d get a map and decide how far you wanted to drive per day, and maybe even make some hotel reservations in advance. You certainly wouldn’t get in your car, just drive it randomly down the nearest highway, and hope you ended up in California, would you?

Certainly not. Earning your CCNA certification is the same way. It’s not enough to just study a few minutes “when you feel like it”, or tell yourself that you’ll start studying for the exams “when I get such-and-such done”. The perfect time to start on the road to Cisco certification is not tomorrow, and it’s not next week. It’s today.

You’re much better off with one hour of solid study than three hours of interrupted, unfocused study. Here are a few ways to go about getting the kind of quality study time that will get you to the CCNA or CCNP (or any Cisco certification, for that matter!).

Schedule your study time, and regard this study time as you would an appointment with a client. If you were to meet a customer at 10:00 to discuss a network install, would you just decide not to show up and watch television instead? Not if you wanted the job. The same goes for your study time. That’s an appointment with the most important customer of all – YOU.

Turn your cell, iPod, TV, instant messenger, and all other electronic collars off for the duration of your study time. I know those of us in information technology don’t like to say this, but we can actually exist without being in touch with the world for a little while. You may even get to like it! Having uninterrupted study time is key to CCNA and CCNP exam success.

Finally, schedule your exam before you start studying. Contrary to what many people think, “deadline” is not a dirty word. We do our best work when we have a deadline and a schedule to keep. Make out your study schedule, schedule your exam, and get to work just as you would a network project for a customer. The project you’re working on is your career and your life, and by following these simple steps you can make it a highly successful project – by passing your CCNA and CCNP exam!

Many companies are now doing the majority or even all their business online and foregoing the Brick and Mortar storefront. It is easy to see why that trend has happened. For one thing, the cost of setting up such a business is relatively inexpensive and easy. There is no need to pay for the overhead of a physical building. Also, the cost of maintaining a Web site is minimal. Moreover, the Internet provides a convenient and efficient way of marketing products. As more and more people are spending time on the Internet, the market of online customers continues to grow.

But when businesses shift from face-to-face customers to anonymous online customers, there is a loss of personal connection and trust. All the online spamming and scamming hasnt helped the matter at all. That has eroded the trust in E-commerce and the credibility of many companies. How are you gaining and maintaining customer trust? What are you doing as an online vendor to communicate to your customers?

In an online world, business just doesnt stop after hours and on weekends. What are you doing to answer your customers questions? Here are a few things that you can do to improve communication with your customers:

1.	Offer a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page and online product support information. This is an excellent way of answering basic questions that may otherwise flood your support email. For example, our voice-changing product, MorphVOX, has a FAQ on the common issues that customers may come across. We also have provided detailed online documentation on topics that users may want to explore more. This takes care of roughly 95% of the questions people may have.

2.	Add a support email link on your Web site for issues that cant be resolved by the Web support. At Screaming Bee, we try to answer our customer questions within one business day. More often, well answer questions within an hour of receiving the email. I believe that we have gained many loyal customers because of our aggressive efforts to meet needs in a timely manner.

3.	Provide a message board or forum for customers to voice their opinions, add comments, and interact with each other. Remember that people are social creatures and like to be heard. This also helps to build up a community of users that are empowered and have a say in the products and services that you provide.

4.	Write a personal email to each customer. Have you followed up on your customers after they have made a purchase of your products or services? This is essential, not only from the perspective of getting feedback on how to improve your offerings, but more importantly, maintaining the trusting, long-term relationship with your customer. Send them an email within 3-4 weeks of the first purchase. In this way their experience with your products and services is fresh in their mind. Remember, a customer who is ignored is a customer who is lost.

Spending time and effort on better communication with your customers will pay off. Your company will rise and fall not on the customers you gain, but on the customers that you dont lose. Loyal customers will be the ones that give you the best testimonials. They also provide you with the richest, organic, word-of-mouth marketing. Remember that every happy customer is a testament of your companys success.

If you are thinking of what particular remote control helicopter to buy, then this article should help.

Here are the different types of remote control helicopter:

Gas remote control helicopter If you are thinking of flying a helicopter that somehow close to flying a real helicopter, then the gas remote control helicopter is for you. Made with an engine and powered by gas, this helicopter is the most advanced remote control helicopter to buy. Gas remote control helicopter does not come cheap with engine and more complicated moving parts. Gas remote control helicopter is for advanced rc pilot.

Electric remote control helicopter Early electric remote control helicopters released are expensive but later models are more affordable. This makes electric remote control helicopters more popular than any type of remote control helicopters in the market. It is easy to fly. It creates no noise and smell not like the gas remote control helicopter. It is powered by a rechargeable battery. The electric remote control helicopter is suitable for beginners.

Mini remote control helicopter Also powered by battery, this type of remote control helicopter is similar to the electric rc helicopter. In fact, it is hard to define if the electric remote control helicopter falls on the category of a mini. But to be safe about it, you can say that it is mini if you can fly it on your living room without imposing danger on your furniture.

Mini remote control helicopter is fun to fly although controlling it on air might be a little complicated at first. But once you get the hang of it, maneuvers and landings are easy. It is also far more affordable than the two mentioned types of remote control helicopter.

Micro remote control helicopter If you have seen micro rc car, micro rc boat, and micro rc plane, then you should not be surprised if you see micro remote control helicopter. This tiny piece of aircraft can stretch up to 8 inches. But, you cannot consider it a toy. It has standard features similar to that of a standard remote control helicopter. It is so tiny that makes it look so delicate but in face, materials used such as titanium and carbon is strong.

Toy remote control helicopter If you want an affordable remote control helicopter, then this one is for you. Only remember that to fly this type of remote control helicopter requires a lot of practice.

These days, people are interested in building their connections thereby increasing the number of people or friends in their circle. This could help them make more friends with people who are from other parts of the world. Ever since the internet was introduced, it has taken over our lives and we now carry out every possible activity on this platform. If a person creates a personal space on the internet or is into blogging, they can promote work and use to browse for funny images and watch funny video clips. Not only do they make you popular among your peer group, this is a way to share new websites with each other.

Blogging has become a rage these days with almost everyone owning a blog URL, which is like a personal diary, except it is maintained online. For some it is a way to express their inner feelings and jot them down on a daily basis. Others its a platform that allows them to showcase their talent and invite new business opportunities and these people are referred to as Bloggers. When we surf the net, we look for humor related sites or those that have funny pictures and videos in them. This is a way to break the monotony of the busy day and enjoy those few moments of laughter. There are many sites that have funny videos in them, and if a person desires, he can embed these videos into personal blogs. All they have to do is copy the html tag given with the video and post it on their blog and it will remain up there for all visitors who stop by and enjoy a good laugh.

Among the many networking sites that have come about, MySpace is the third most popular in the United States and the sixth in the world. A place where you can make friends, get to know people from across the world, impart information about you and look for job options is what this is. You can put up your blog URL, any pictures and funny videos you wish to share with others and they would get noticed instantly. It is a way of drawing attention to oneself through which the member can leverage on the features offered at MySpace.

The Flash videos available on various sites are videos created as Windows Media or MPEG files, and later converted to flash. The reason flash players are the new wave in video media, is that they offer more GUIs than the old players. GUI stands for Graphical User Interface. Simply put, the controls you see in flash players are created in flash, and are unlimited. Flash players are also very popular because most computers have a built-in Flash player, making these videos available to everyone online.

Once you have embedded the code onto your page, you can watch your favorite funny video clips by simply clicking on the screenshot on the page. The flash player also enables the viewers to navigate to the source link to watch more funny videos. The same applies to those crazy funny pictures that capture hilarious moments in time. Why not share your crazy pictures with groups all over the world by uploading them to your blog or favorite social networking site? Venues like MySpace and blogs allow the users to join groups based on subjects of their preference and share their funny images and videos with their friends. It is human nature to want to share, especially good, funny things and that is exactly what these sites offer. It only takes a few minutes to leave your impression of humor on thousands of people online.

Scenario: You work in a corporate environment in which you are, at least partially, responsible for network security. You have implemented a firewall, virus and spyware protection, and your computers are all up to date with patches and security fixes. You sit there and think about the lovely job you have done to make sure that you will not be hacked.

You have done, what most people think, are the major steps towards a secure network. This is partially correct. What about the other factors?

Have you thought about a social engineering attack? What about the users who use your network on a daily basis? Are you prepared in dealing with attacks by these people?

Believe it or not, the weakest link in your security plan is the people who use your network. For the most part, users are uneducated on the procedures to identify and neutralize a social engineering attack. Whats going to stop a user from finding a CD or DVD in the lunch room and taking it to their workstation and opening the files? This disk could contain a spreadsheet or word processor document that has a malicious macro embedded in it. The next thing you know, your network is compromised.

This problem exists particularly in an environment where a help desk staff reset passwords over the phone. There is nothing to stop a person intent on breaking into your network from calling the help desk, pretending to be an employee, and asking to have a password reset. Most organizations use a system to generate usernames, so it is not very difficult to figure them out.

Your organization should have strict policies in place to verify the identity of a user before a password reset can be done. One simple thing to do is to have the user go to the help desk in person. The other method, which works well if your offices are geographically far away, is to designate one contact in the office who can phone for a password reset. This way everyone who works on the help desk can recognize the voice of this person and know that he or she is who they say they are.

Why would an attacker go to your office or make a phone call to the help desk? Simple, it is usually the path of least resistance. There is no need to spend hours trying to break into an electronic system when the physical system is easier to exploit. The next time you see someone walk through the door behind you, and do not recognize them, stop and ask who they are and what they are there for. If you do this, and it happens to be someone who is not supposed to be there, most of the time he will get out as fast as possible. If the person is supposed to be there then he will most likely be able to produce the name of the person he is there to see.

I know you are saying that I am crazy, right? Well think of Kevin Mitnick. He is one of the most decorated hackers of all time. The US government thought he could whistle tones into a telephone and launch a nuclear attack. Most of his hacking was done through social engineering. Whether he did it through physical visits to offices or by making a phone call, he accomplished some of the greatest hacks to date. If you want to know more about him Google his name or read the two books he has written.

Its beyond me why people try and dismiss these types of attacks. I guess some network engineers are just too proud of their network to admit that they could be breached so easily. Or is it the fact that people dont feel they should be responsible for educating their employees? Most organizations dont give their IT departments the jurisdiction to promote physical security. This is usually a problem for the building manager or facilities management. None the less, if you can educate your employees the slightest bit; you may be able to prevent a network breach from a physical or social engineering attack.

The current aim of blu-ray and HD-DVD is to get as much public support quickly as ultimately it is the consumer who will decide which format comes out on top. With the unification talks failing it is up to you to make the decision of which format to adopt. To help you with this tough decision is the lowdown on how each format matches below.

History

The blu-ray formats head companies are Sony and Philips with Toshiba and Hitachi heading up the HD-DVD format. This situation isnt the first time where these two sides have gone at each other with opposing formats. The DVD format was born from the co-operation of the Multimedia Compact Disc from Sony/Philips (MMCD) and the Super Density Disc (SD) from Toshiba. Though it ended well for the consumer with the DVD format being widely adopted and becoming the new standard, it was Toshibas camp who came out on top in regards to royalties.
This led to the work on new formats by both sides with Sony aiming to regain some of its lost market. The two projects though had been in production but not really going anywhere at the time. Sonys Professional Disc for Data (PDD) became the blu-ray format while Toshibas Advanced Optical Disc becoming HD-DVD. This leads us back to the original situation where there are two competing formats with a unification looking a lot less likely.

Technical

Both blu-ray and HD-DVD use a wavelength of 405nm however the smaller track pitch on blu-ray (see Blu-ray Disc) allows more information to be squeezed on and so gives the larger capacity. However it is the differing track pitch that makes these two formats incompatible. The surface layer of the two is different also as HD-DVD uses a 0.6mm layer similar to DVD whereas blu-ray uses a 0.1mm clear plastic layer.
This difference is the main reason why costs are higher with blu-ray. Costly production methods are needed to be able to make the discs and a hard coating must be applied to make the discs suitably resilient to dust and fingerprints.

Capacity

Blu-ray currently offers discs in 25gb for single layer and 50gb for dual layer. However TDK has started work on a 200gb disc which is 6x33gb layers.
HD-DVD comes in 15gb for the single layer and 30gb for the dual layer. Best tests so far have achieved 45gb but 60gb is the theoretical limit. This shows that the maximum for HD-DVD is only 10gb more than what blu-ray can already offer.

Codecs

Both formats use the same codecs to play video as they are both able to play standard and high-definition. This means that MPEG-2, Microsoft Video Codec 1 (aka VC1, WMV HD, etc.) and H.264 / MPEG-4 AVC are all supported on both formats.

Security

Both blu-ray and HD-DVD have to make use of HDCP encrypted output and the Advanced Access Content System (AACS). Both HDCP and AACS are mandatory for any discs with HD video.
Blu-ray also incorporates ROM-Mark watermarking technology and BD dynamic crypto which generates special keys for batches of discs.
HD-DVD uses a similar system in the Volume Identifying technology.

Support

Both formats are heavily supported in both the Consumer Electronics (CE) and Information Technology (IT) industries. However blu-ray has a better portion of the big name movie and game studios supporting it which is essential for there to be a ready amount of content at launch. See below for the list of Supporting studios:

Blu-ray

20th Century Fox
Buena Vista Home Entertainment
Electronic Arts
MGM Studios
Paramount Pictures
Sony Pictures Entertainment
The Walt Disney Company
Vivendi Universal Games
Warner Bros.

HD-DVD

New Line Cinema

Hentai games do not involve actual/realistic human figures, but cartoon images, often stereotyped with a Japanese look. The major elements of these games are romance, dating, flirting, and sexual themes ranging from normal to the taboo and bizarre. The games combine fantasy and imagination with some interactive elements to create a new world around the user.

Amys fantasies is more of a sexually oriented game. It involves fantasy and desire. There are three stories all containing themes based on sex. The protagonist is a girl called Emi, who takes on different roles a student, nurse, or a maid. Her father dies leaving her with a debt to repay.

She is still in school and secretly in love with her stepbrother. Nearing her 18th birthday she decides to reveal the secret to her brother.

Dramatic action begins when the tax collectors confiscate her property before she could confess her love to him. Moreover, the stepbrother soon disappears, and she sets out to find him.

This is the middle of the story, when the girl takes on three different roles to locate her stepbrother. There are all sorts of temptations, and she begins to show different sides of her personality. A second personality called Amy soon develops, adding humor to the story.

The game combines sexual themes with comical elements. This is a bishojo game. The perspective is from the female point of view.

The negative aspect of the story are graphics and the small screen view. The game combines three different stores on different locations with different characters and roles.

Today, we are living in the era of database-driven applications and rely on databases more that we could imagine even in the recent past. Information is valued much higher than any hardware or software tools used for its processing. However, the risks associated with database crashes or corruptions increase proportionately to the intensity of their use, making a broken database a nightmare for any accountant or business owner, especially when a backup is unavailable.

The DBF file, unfortunately, is not 100% crash-proof, just as any other database format in the world. If your DBF file is corrupted or damaged, standard DBF readers may not be able to help you get your data back – all you will see is undecipherable abracadabra or nothing at all. Luckily, there are tools out there that will make a DBF repair procedure a real breeze. DBF Recovery from HiBase Group is an affordable and highly efficient application that is intended for repairing DBF databases and recovering your important information. Not only does it retrieve and fix headers, but, unlike the majority of its dbf fixers, also runs an in-depth analysis of the database structure in an attempt to fix it completely.

The great thing about DBF Repair Tool ( http://www.dbf2002.com/dbf-recovery/ ) is that you don’t need to have a Master’s degree in computer science to do your first DBF repair. The program was created for all categories of users that need immediate assistance whenever they are experiencing problems with their database. When pointed to a broken DBF file, the program determines the data format automatically. The program supports all specific file formats used by the most popular database management systems, such as Dbase III/IV, FoxPro, Visual FoxPro and others. Once this is done, all you have to do is lean back and watch DBF Recovery work its magic. The completely automated recovery engine will scrupulously scan the internal structure of the file, identify discrepancies from the normal state and attempt to restore the data.

The DBF repair process may take a while, depending on the size of the file. However, rest assured that DBF Recovery is pushing the envelope to recover your data with maximum accuracy. In fact, its recovery success rate, combined with the obvious simplicity of use, affordability and compact size make it one of the top utilities of its class. Not only is it a must-have for any serious system or database administrator, but also for regular end users who would like to be protected from such an unexpected force majeure as data loss after a database corruption.

DBF Repair from HiBase Group is easy to install and use. It requires absolutely no external drivers for database connectivity. Supporting Windows 95/98/NT/2000/2003/XP and Vista, it will work on the overwhelming majority of modern systems.

You cannot control everything in this world and accidents sometimes happen. Don’t forget to buckle up when you get into a car, as it may save your life. Don’t forget to get yourself a copy of DBF Recovery, as it may save the most important thing in today’s business – your information. Have a nice ride!

A prime topic of your CCNA and CCNP CIT exams will be connecting Cisco routers directly via their Serial interfaces, and while the configuration is straightforward, there are some vital details and show commands you must know in order to pass the exams and configure this successfully in production and home lab networks. Let’s take a look at a sample configuration.

Connecting Cisco routers directly via their Serial interfaces works really well once you get it running – and getting such a connection up and running is easy enough. You can use show controller serial x to find out which endpoint is acting as the DCE, and it’s the DCE that must be configured with the clockrate command.

R3#show controller serial 1

HD unit 1, idb = 0x11B4DC, driver structure at 0×121868

buffer size 1524 HD unit 1, V.35 DCE cable

R3(config)#int serial1

R3(config-if)#ip address 172.12.13.3 255.255.255.0

R3(config-if)#clockrate 56000

R3(config-if)#no shut

Failure to configure the clockrate has some interesting effects regarding the physical and logical state of the interfaces. Let’s remove the clockrate from R3 and see what happens.

R3(config)#int s1

R3(config-if)#no clockrate 56000

R3(config-if)#

18:02:19: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Serial1, changed state to down

The line protocol doesn’t drop immediately, but it does drop. Let’s run show interface serial1 to compare the physical and logical interface states.

R3#show int serial1

Serial1 is up, line protocol is down

Physically, the interface is fine, so the physical interface is up. It’s only the logical part of the interface – the line protocol – that is down. It’s the same situation on R1.

R1#show inter serial1

Serial1 is up, line protocol is down

While a router misconfiguration is the most likely cause of a serial connection issue, that’s not the only reason for clocking issues. Cisco’s website documentation mentions CSU/DSU misconfiguration, out-of-spec cables, bad patch panel connections, and connecting too many cables together as other reasons for clocking problems. Still, the number one reason for clocking problems in my experience is simply forgetting to configure the clockrate command!
