			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Having used a desktop computers and notebook computers that had been officially supplied by the company where I was employed, there was no need to worry about what type of notebook computer or whatever configuration that was required in my work.</p>
<p>So when I finally had to purchase my own notebook computer for personal private use, I found myself facing a myraid of questions. Just what should I look out for when buying my own notebook computer?</p>
<p>First, I found I had to quantify my own needs for a notebook computer. Having quantified my needs, which was to do a lot of number crunching and to perform technical analysis and charting of stock prices online, I found that even low priced models could perform work that was demanded by my needs.</p>
<p>I was pleasantly surprised that my needs did not demand a high priced model.</p>
<p>Secondly, the notebook computer I required would need to be sufficiently light. In the process of identifying the notebook computer, I decided I did not need a subnotebook, as most notebook computers weigh between 5 to 7 kg, with a subnotebook weighing at 5 kg or less.</p>
<p>The standard notebook computer was sufficient for my needs coming with some wordprocessing software that was already installed as part of the package that comes with the computer and with Internet access capabilities. All I need was to install my specialized technical analysis program to monitor the stock prices.</p>
<p>At the same time, advances in notebook computer technology ensured that I had wireless technology and can hook up online at any hotspot outlet. This would allow me to have mobile wireless access anywhere I go. I could also use a pen drivefor additional mobile storage.<br />

Finally, I also decided that I really do not need to use the provided upgrade functionality for the notebook, perferring to use the notebook for a period of two years at most. This was because I discovered parts and accessories were expensive, and going the way of upgrades to be expensive. Changing to a new model completely after two years appear to be a better proposition in terms of more power, functionality and cost savings.</p>
<p>Having made these decisions, the next step was to go online for a price comparison. Shopping online allowed me the convenience of researching each one of the notebook computer that caught my attention, without feeling pressured to make a quick decision.</p>
<p>There were some sites that allowed the added convenience of comparing different models side by side, and doing so was very useful in helping me to make my final decision on the notebook computer.</p>
<p>If you are faced with the task of purchasing your own notebook computer, the considerations which I have mentioned above will help you in your initial selection in making a wise decision.</p>

<p>There are 2 keys to getting a high score in Tri Peaks Solitaire:<br />
- Clear each Peak.<br />
- Form long sequences.</p>
<p>You get quite a lot of points for clearing a peak. You get 15 points for clearing the first peak, 15 points for clearing the second peak, and then 30 points for clearing the last peak. Thats a total of 60 points, which shows that it is definitely worth while getting rid of all the peaks, and unless you can form an incredibly long sequence, it&#8217;s always worth trying to clear the peaks.</p>
<p>The second key to doing well at Tri Peaks Solitaire is to form really long sequences, where you do not deal a card from the talon.</p>
<p>The Tri-Peaks scoring system will give you one additional point for every card you move in a sequence. So the first card you move gives you one point, the next card gives you two points, the next card gives you three points, and the next card gives you four points, etc. The sequence ends as soon as you deal from the talon, and the sequence begins at one point again.</p>
<p>This system is interesting because it often makes sense to not move cards as soon as you can.</p>
<p>There are 2 ways to illustrate this.</p>
<p>What do you think the difference in scoring would be between one 12-long sequence versus two 6-long sequences? Most people know the long sequence will outscore the shorter sequences, but not many people realise by how much!</p>
<p>The 12 long sequence gives us a score of 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12, which is 78.</p>
<p>Surely the two 6-long sequences won&#8217;t be too far behind?<br />
Well, we get 1+2+3+4+5+6 for the first sequence. And then we 1+2+3+4+5+6 for the second sequence.</p>
<p>The total is only 42! Even though the same number of cards were removed, the difference in scores is 36 points!<br />

Another way to illustrate this is to see what would happen if we extend out a long sequence.</p>
<p>What if instead of 12 card in the sequence, we could somehow remove 14 cards in sequence instead? Well, that would give us an extra 13+14 points, which is 27 extra points.</p>
<p>Adding two cards extra on the 12 card sequence almost resulted in as many points as two 6-card sequences!</p>
<p>As you can see, it really pays to form one really long sequence. You need to make sure you form one sequence of atleast 10 cards before you start getting a reasonable score.</p>
<p>Now, when Tri-Peaks Solitaire starts, you normally find you can form a reasonably long sequence. But rarely is it more than 10 cards. Don&#8217;t use that sequence until you have studied the tableau carefully!</p>
<p>Look at the cards above the bottom layer. Look for a lot of cards all around the same rank. See if you can see any long sequences. When you do, see what cards are covering that sequence, and then work to remove those. DON&#8217;T remove cards that could make that sequence longer, even if you can play them in shorter sequences before hand. You want to aim for one sequence, as long as you can humanly make, to get really good scores in Tri Peaks Solitaire.</p>
<p>This has to be balanced against the first key though, which is to uncover the peaks. You don&#8217;t want to hold on too long for that perfect sequence, because it may mean that you don&#8217;t get to uncover the peaks.</p>
<p>Play a few games with the above in mind, and you&#8217;re sure to see your Tri Peaks scores increase in no time!</p>

Where dynamic routing protocols such as RIP and IGRP have only one router type, a look at a Cisco routing table shows several different OSPF route types.<br />

In this tutorial, we&#8217;ll take a look at the difference between two of these route types, E1 and E2.<br />
Route redistribution is the process of taking routes learned via one routing protocol and injecting those routes into another routing domain.  (Static and connected routes can also be redistributed.)  When a router running OSPF takes routes learned by another routing protocol and makes them available to the other OSPF-enabled routers it&#8217;s communicating with, that router becomes an Autonomous System Border Router (ASBR).<br />
Let&#8217;s work with an example where R1 is running both OSPF and RIP.  R4 is in the same OSPF domain as R1, and we want R4 to learn the routes that R1 is learning via RIP.  This means we have to perform route redistribution on the ASBR.  The routes that are being redistributed from RIP into OSPF will appear as E2 routes on R4:<br />

<p>E2 is the default route type for routes learned via redistribution.  The key with E2 routes is that the cost of these routes reflects only the cost of the path from the ASBR to the final destination; the cost of the path from R4 to R1 is not reflected in this cost.  (Remember that OSPF&#8217;s metric for a path is referred to as &#8220;cost&#8221;.)<br />
In this example, we want the cost of the routes to reflect the entire path, not just the path between the ASBR and the destination network.  To do so, the routes must be redistributed into OSPF as E1 routes on the ASBR, as shown here.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Windows XP can leave you pulling your hear out trying to delete that undeletable file or folder, search the web high and low, no solution for the dreaded &#8220;Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk” error could be found&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..Until now</p>
<p>Recently I had a program cause a problem with; well I’m not sure exactly what. But it created a file folder that absolutely could not be deleted no matter what I tried. I tried to rename it, to move it, to delete it, from safe mode, from administrator safe mode, nothing worked</p>
<p>I spent hours and hours searching the web trying to find a solution. What I found on the net darkened my hopes of ever getting rid of this folder short of a format and reload of windows.</p>
<p>Not one to give up very easily at all, I starting thinking of ways one might delete files nothing seemed to be of much help until I found out that I could move the file if it was on the same drive, inside its parent folder. Now if the file or folder you need to delete is in your root system folder or on any other partition then your system or root partition, then this fix probably won’t work for you. To make it a bit clearer, the file or folder you want to delete must be on the system drive partition, but not in the root of that drive or partition. The reasons why will soon become apparent. Also you must have administrator rights to perform this fix</p>
<p>Ok, what ever folder the target file or folder is in; empty it out, saving all other files to another folder that can be renamed later. Now that you have just the target file or folder inside its parent folder, you can rename the parent folder to what ever you want. I used “Delete Me” just so I didn’t make any mistakes.</p>
<p>Now restart windows and boot into safe mode. If you are not sure how to boot into safe mode, a rule of thumb is to restart the system and tap the F8 key as soon as the boot sequence begins, usually until you hear system beeps that signal keyboard errors. By this time the system is booting into safe mode.</p>
<p>When you see the login screen, log in as administrator, the system will continue to boot, usually there will be a message advising you that you are booting into safe mode and asking if you want to continue. Windows XP safe mode desktop is black, so don’t worry if you have never been here before, everything is going fine.</p>
<p>Now that you are logged on as the administrator in safe mode follow these steps</p>
<p>1. Open control panel from the start menu</p>
<p>2. Select USER ACCOUNTS from the control panel menu icons</p>
<p>3. Select Create New account from the list of tasks</p>
<p>4. In the new task windows, give the account a two or three letter name, not any real user name. and click the next button</p>
<p>5. Select the LIMITED account feature by selecting the little radio button at the top, and click the create account button at the bottom</p>
<p>6. Close all program windows and restart windows</p>
<p>7. When windows boots you will see the new user id, log in on the new user account that you just created</p>
<p>8. You may get some funny flags and request when you log in , but they are not to worry, let the system finish logging you in and when all activity has finished, restart windows again in safe mode<br />

9. Log in as administrator again</p>
<p>10. Open my documents from the start menu and click the folders icon to open up the left hand panel of the explorer window.</p>
<p>11. Navigate to the file/folder parent folder you want to delete (the one you renamed to something like “Delete Me”)</p>
<p>12. Have it selected in the right hand pane of explorer (remember you can only move this file or folder if it is inside the parent folder)</p>
<p>13. From the file menu at the top select edit then select move to folder….</p>
<p>14. When the navigation widow opens, navigate to C:documents and settings new user id new user id documents (new user id is the account name you created) and select the move button</p>
<p>15. Now restart windows normally and log into your normal account</p>
<p>16. Open control panel from the start menu</p>
<p>17. Select user accounts</p>
<p>18. Select change accounts</p>
<p>19. Select the new user account you created</p>
<p>20. Select delete account</p>
<p>21. Select to delete all files, and delete account</p>
<p>End of story. No more unwanted files. I know that it seems like a long way around to accomplish a small task, but if you are like me, you have been pulling your hair out over how to cure this “Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk” problem. Don’t forget to restore your original files to their original location after creating a new folder to put them, in the proper location.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hewlett Packard’s tryst with ink took off when it acquired a company named F.L Mosley based in California in 1958. Mosley was manufacturing recorders and plotters for industrial applications such as continuous process monitoring systems, data loggers and the like in the 1950’s.</p>
<p>Hewlett Packard was the pioneer in imaging and printing technologies. It was the first in the market during the 1980’s to come up with inkjet and laser technology used in printers until date. Its first printer was the “ThinkJet” in 1984 based on the inkjet technology and later the “DeskJet” printer also based on inkjet technology and the “Laser” printer as the name suggests based on laser technology.</p>
<p>The Ink</p>
<p>Today inks are not just gooey fluids filled in cartridges to give you images on your print media.  Specially engineered ink gives high quality prints-it has specially designed active agents and colorants that give rich color and fade resistance.</p>
<p>There is a difference between printer ink and toner &#8211; printer ink is a liquid that is applied to paper by pressure. Toner is a fine powder that is burned onto the paper through heat and laser guidance.</p>
<p>There are two types if ink &#8211; dye based and pigment based. The rest are a variation of these two basic types.</p>
<p>The Ink Cartridge</p>
<p>The printer cartridge nowadays is not only an object that holds ink but also a highly technical one that has an integrated circuit to control the quality of printouts. The printer ink cartridge is by far the most important consumable as far as its cost, type and replacement is concerned. Every printer model has its own specific ink cartridge.</p>
<p>Inkjet</p>
<p>The inkjet cartridge is a combination of speed and precision. Each ink nozzle in the cartridge fires up to 36,000 drops of ink per second to deliver crisp text and sharp images.<br />
The Inkjet and DeskJet printers use this cartridge. They are ideal for home and personal use.</p>
<p>LaserJet</p>
<p>The Laser Jet cartridge comprises up to 70% of the total imaging system and therefore plays a key role in delivering quality prints. It uses a precision laser to draw the image giving clear sharp and precise prints. These are ideal for home as well as small to large businesses and workgroups.</p>
<p>Design Jet</p>
<p>These cartridges give uniform fills, sharply defined lines and crisp clear text across a wide range of durable printing applications. These cartridges are used for large format printing media such as trade show and event displays, posters and presentations, photo enlargements, architecture and engineering applications such as CAD/CAM.</p>
<p>Color Layering Technology</p>
<p>In color layering, a number of microscopic droplets of colors ranging from three to eight colors are combined and managed through hundreds of small nozzles in the cartridge. The result is a print of high quality with vibrant and realistic true to life images. This technology gives a wide range of colors up to millions.<br />

<p>Available Cartridge Options</p>
<p>1. OEMs<br />
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) cartridges are the same ones that come with your printer. The company that makes the printer generally manufactures them. For example, HP laser printers come with HP toner cartridges. OEM laser printer toner cartridges are the most expensive type. You can save money by choosing remanufactured cartridges, compatible cartridges or refill kits.</p>
<p>Benefits of OEM Cartridges<br />
Many manufacturers recommend only using OEM cartridges with their printers to achieve the best results. However, they are also trying to get you to buy their product. Again, if you require optimum quality then it is best to use OEM cartridges. They also prove to be economical in the long run because remanufactured or refilled cartridges may fail 70 to 80 percent of the time in their first attempt or they usually don’t give as many prints as the original or as promised by the remanufacturing company.</p>
<p>2. Remanufactured</p>
<p>A remanufactured cartridge is one that has been disassembled and its worn parts replaced. A new print head is then fitted onto the cartridge, is refilled with ink, and is tested in the factory to guarantee print quality. Remanufacturing is considered more comprehensive than refilling.</p>
<p>Your printer&#8217;s print head cleaning utility (described in your printer&#8217;s operating manual) should always be run 1-2 times after inserting a remanufactured cartridge. They are thoroughly tested to ensure quality, and their performance is generally equal to new cartridges.</p>
<p>Just because a cartridge ran out of ink, does not mean the print head and electronics are not still in perfectly working order.</p>

<p>3. Refilled</p>
<p>Refilling your cartridge means cleaning the cartridge and refilling it with new ink. Now, either this can be done at home using a refilling kit or you can ship your cartridge to a refilling company in your area.<br />
Some refilling companies claim that Refilled Cartridges are environmentally friendly and provide a high quality output, which meets or exceeds consumer expectations and that they are<br />
·	Ultrasonically bathed to ensure a clean print head<br />
·	Filled with top quality inks using state of the art equipment<br />
·	Tested to ensure high quality printing<br />
·	Sealed and packaged in vapor resistant material</p>
<p>It is best to refill your Cartridge within 15 days of the cartridge becoming empty.<br />
Empty cartridges have a certain life span and this can range from between one refill to five refills on average. However, cartridge circuits have been known to fail on the 1st attempt of refilling / remanufacture and in contrast, cartridge circuits have been known to last up to 10 refills, the latter being exceptional durability.<br />
Once a cartridge circuit has failed, the ink cartridge is unusable and a new or serviceable cartridge has to be purchased.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>BGP is one of the most complex topics you&#8217;ll study when pursuing your CCNP, if not the most complex. I know from personal experience that when I was earning my CCNP, BGP is the topic that gave me the most trouble at first. One thing I keep reminding today&#8217;s CCNP candidates about, though, is that no Cisco technology is impossible to understand if you just break it down and understand the basics before you start trying to understand the more complex configurations.</p>
<p>BGP attributes are one such topic. You&#8217;ve got well-known mandatory, well-known discretionary, transitive, and non-transitive. Then you&#8217;ve got each individual BGP attribute to remember, and the order in which BGP considers attributes, and what attributes even are&#8230; and a lot more! As with any other Cisco topic, we have to walk before we can run. Let&#8217;s take a look at what attributes are and what they do in BGP.</p>
<p>BGP attributes are much like what metrics are to OSPF, RIP, IGRP, and EIGRP. You won&#8217;t see them listed in a routing table, but attributes are what BGP considers when choosing the best path to a destination when multiple valid (loop-free) paths exist.<br />
<span id="more-555"></span><br />
When BGP has to decide between such paths, there is an order in which BGP considers the path attributes. For success on the CCNP exams, you need to know this order. BGP looks at path attributes in this order:</p>
<p>Highest weight (Cisco-proprietary BGP value)</p>
<p>Highest local preference (LOCAL_PREF)</p>
<p>Prefer locally originated route.</p>
<p>Shortest AS_PATH is preferred.</p>
<p>Choose route with lowest origin code. Internal paths are preferred over external paths, and external paths are preferred over paths with an origin of &#8220;incomplete&#8221;.<br />
Lowest multi-exit discriminator (MED)</p>
<p>External BGP routes preferred over Internal BGP routes.</p>
<p>If no external route, select path with lowest IGP cost to the next-hop router for iBGP.</p>
<p>Choose most recent route.</p>
<p>Choose lowest BGP RID (Router ID).</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t know what these values are, or how they&#8217;re configured, don&#8217;t panic! The next several parts of this BGP tutorial will explain it all. So spend some time studying this order, and in part II of this free BGP tutorial, we&#8217;ll look at each of these values in detail. Keep studying!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There may be some of you reading this, that can remember something called a Sony Walkman. Now if you are not old enough, just ask your parents or even an older brother or sister. What you will see is this kind of smile come over their faces. Boy, does time fly and technology goes even faster.</p>
<p>You see, if you lived back in the 1980&#8217;s, the Sony Walkman was the coolest thing on the planet. Now if you did live back then, you probably owned one of these. This product was the rave. This product was everywhere, in the airports, the malls, on buses, everywhere. You would see the kids in the back seat of the family car, listening to their own thing, using the Sony Walkman. Their parents would be listening to something else (Dean Martin or Perry Como), which the kids hated.</p>
<p>A phenomenon is a term that implies that something is here today and then gone tomorrow. The Walkman was beyond a phenomenon, it was a mainstay. It was a staple of the society in which it was introduced. If there was a time capsule created to represent the 1980&#8217;s, the Walkman would have to be included. If you were to not include it, would be the same thing as discussing technology of the 21st century and leaving out the part about the internet.</p>
<p>Now for the next generation of personal entertainment devices, from the Walkman to the iPod. I am not sure how you could avoid not knowing about the Apple iPod, unless you happen to be living in that time capsule we talked about earlier. So, you have seen them, they are everywhere (sound familiar?). If you ask 10 people to explain what an iPod is, you&#8217;ll likely receive 10 different answers; and all of them will likely contain some element of fact and logic. Introduced by Apple Computers in 2001, the iPod is technically defined as a portable music player; and even this doesn&#8217;t do it justice. Today it is so much more.</p>
<p>Now the Walkman was really for the kids, that is who mainly used it. Not today and the iPod. It is not just for kids anymore. You see more than just kids walking around with these little white wires sticking out of there ears.</p>
<p>The Apple iPod is a truly amazing product. It has crossed the demographic consumer lines. You see people of all ages wearing these things: from the teachers, the kids (big and small) to the senior citizens, the athletes who manage to keep the ear buds in place despite doing whatever there sport happens to be.<br />
<span id="more-553"></span><br />
Now, don&#8217;t panic if you haven&#8217;t entered the iPod country yourself. There are so many to chose from: the iPod classic, iPod shuffle, iPod nano, the iPod mini and so much more. And lets not forget about all the iPod accessories that go along with this. Though the iPod are so incredibly popular, there are still enough people out there who haven&#8217;t tried one yet. And there are still people out there who have the iPod and haven&#8217;t even taken it out of first gear yet. Why is this?</p>
<p>The reason is because technology can seem confusing and despite its small size, figuring out the in&#8217;s and the outs of the iPod can seem intimidating and time consuming. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. The iPod is built around the reputation of Apple which is base things on simplicity and ease of use. Just like the Mac computer. The iPod is as easy to use as a DVD player, or maybe even easier.</p>
<p>In closing here are some facts about the Apple iPod that you may not be aware of. I am sure you know this that the iPod is the #1 selling digital music device. What does it take to be the #1 selling device in this competitive marketplace? Here are some facts. Since 2001 there have been 110 million devices sold world wide. That is:</p>

HDTV tuners will not only show movies and DVD’s at high definition, but will improve the viewing of normal TV. It is because of the improved definition or color and picture quality of DVD’s and programs that make HDTV tuners very popular with viewers.</p>
<p>Television sets often come with HDTV tuners already built into them, these are called integrated HDTV’s. If you are considering buying an external high definition TV tuner for your television, make sure that your TV set is HDTV compatible. A separate tuner may also be needed. This can be either a cable or satellite box for watching high definition programs.</p>
<p>Most people have heard that there is a mandate on televisions to make integrated HDTVs. This is not entirely correct. Certain televisions that are for sale after a certain date will be required to have built in tuners. The tuners required won’t be HDTV. The mandate is actually referring to ATSC tuners. It is not even necessary that TV’s be able to display HDTV resolutions without either an internal or external tuner. This new mandate will not apply to plasma and front projectors. The mandate will not take effect for some time. Until then there will be no change in television manufacture or tuners.<br />

It is important to ask about features of high definition TV tuners before making a choice. If you are not sure what some of the features are, ask for clarification. Make sure that your television is compatible, HDTV tuners may not work with older televisions. Ask your cable or satellite company weather they support high definition TV, as many people find out later down the road that they cannot receive HDTV programs through cable or satellite.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Tradewinds 2 is an adventure game wherein you get to sail to different ports and trade different commodities for money. Along the way you are bound to meet pirates who are out to get you. There are also ports which are inherently unfriendly so you need to capture them before you can dock. Your default ship can be loaded with a maximum number of canons and a variety of special ammunition. As the game progresses and you save up more money, you can opt to trade in your old ship for a newer, better one. There are several different ships available at different times. Each one has its own special abilities and it is up to you to decide if the trade is worth it.</p>
<p>Buying and selling goods is quite simple at first glance but as you go along, you will realize that you can get more out of the game. For business-minded people, you probably will like the virtual experience of living the swashbuckling life of a pirate while making a whole lot of money. Hard core players have been known to keep a notepad beside them to note when and where to go to sell a certain product for the greatest amount!</p>
<p>Well into the storyline, a trading complication is introduced into the game: contraband. Certain products will be considered illegal in certain ports and if you do not pay attention to such details, it might be your doing. You can also earn more money by doing special tasks for the governors. These tasks add to the flavor and complexity of the game.<br />

The graphics are not really spectacular although they are enough to give you a very enjoyable game experience. The game play requires a lot of reading as exchanges between characters are written down on scrolls. You don’t really get to hear them speak. If it were not for the background music and the awesome canon explosions, I would have to say that the sound effects are a bit on the lame side.</p>
<p>The game’s system requirements are: 400 MHz processor; Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP; 64 MB of RAM, and DirectX 7.</p>
<p>All in all, I would say that how much you will enjoy the game depends on you. You can choose to play it shallowly, without paying attention to the details. Or, you can be meticulous and enjoy a much better overall experience. I suggest you try the second one.</p>
