A Singapore based software application developer named U2opia working on a new technique by using that users can access to Facebook features without any internet connection. This application makes use of Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) which is a mobile protocol used by GSM mobile phone companies, which allows them to send alerts to their users like remaining balance after every call, miss call alerts etc..

As this application is making use of USSD technology. So, users can’t use the graphic features but can know their friends and wall activity through sms type alerts in this new application.

Today, U2opia introduced this application in indian market with major telecom partner Bharti Airtel.

As per the latest update, users can update their status messages free of cost but to check complete wall activity, news feed, friends activities users will need to pay 1 INR daily. which will be deducted from their main mobile balance.

How to install Userstyles?

Userstyles can be installed in two ways, one is through Stylish extension, Stylish is a Userstyles manager for Firefox and Chrome. Another way is to install Userstyles as a Userscript. I would prefer installing as a Userscript as they are less memory-hungry compared to extensions.

Additional tip: To use Userscripts in Chrome, just give space and add “–enable-user-scripts” switch at the end of “Target” of Chrome’s shortcut.

Still didn’t get it? I have just changed “C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe” to “C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe” –enable-user-scripts . Google chrome has a pre-installed Greasemonkey , so you don’t need to install it again!
