Finally the wait is over, Apple iPhone 3GS is finally coming to India. Fonearena mention in there blog that iPhone 3GS is available on the Stores of Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance and Aircel very soon. The phone will be locked to the operator for 1 or 2 years after which you can unlock the phone officially.

Google Wave Extensions Gallery Launches

After the release of Google Wave, finally today Google Launches the new Google Wave Extensions Gallery. The gallery is intended to make it easier for users to discover the fun and useful extensions. There are two types of extensions for Google Wave, robots and gadgets. Robots are actual participants to a wave and are meant to automate tasks and respond to certain events or conditions. Gadgets are more like traditional widgets, they are stand-alone apps that live inside a wave.

List of extensions of Google Wave:-

* Wave Sudoku (play Sodoku with friends in a Wave)
* Extension Installer (for developers only)
* Colcrop (game)
* Yellow highlighter (highlight text)
* Napkin gadget (for doodles)
* Waffle (date-picker)

Apple iPad Available For Pre-Order

Apple is now accepting pre-orders for its hotly anticipated iPad tablet. Apple made the iPad available for online pre-order on Friday morning, meaning you must now once again reset your countdown clock timer for the device’s ship date of April 3. Reservations are limited to two per customer. The iPad comes in three capacities: 16-, 32, and 64GB. It features built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, an accelerometer, company, speaker, and microphone. It also has a built-in iTunes store, sync to Macs and PCs via USB, and gets 10 hours of battery life.

Pricing starts at $499 for the 16GB Wi-Fi-only model. A 3G radio raises the cost to $629 and also adds a delivery delay: The company is promising 3G-equipped iPads in late April. The 32GB model lists for $599 and the 64GB model sells for $699, both of which cost $130 more with 3G capabilities.

Apple today released Safari 4.0.5 for Mac and Windows, and you can download Safari 4.0.5 right now by firing up Software Update, or by simply hitting the Safari product page and downloading it there. According to the updater, the following has been addressed:

Performance improvements for Top Sites
Stability improvements for 3rd-party plug-ins
Stability improvements for websites with online forms and Scalable Vector Graphics
Fixes an issue that prevented Safari from changing settings on some Linksys routers
Fixes an issue that prevented some iWork.com users from commenting on documents

iPhone OS 4.0 will support multitasking

According to the sources, iPhone firmware 4.0 will bring multitasking to the platform this summer. AppleInsider mention in there blog, people familiar with Apple’s plans have confirmed that iPhone OS 4.0 will include multitasking. Its sources claim that Apple has developed a complete solution that will allow the iPhone to run more than one program at a time, though specifics of how the technology works weren’t shared.

The iPhone OS already supports preemptive multitasking, but Apple has restricted its use to only its own services, like the phone, SMS and iPod. This explains how users are able to talk on the phone or listen to music while they surf in Safari, but can’t run a third-party app like Pandora to pull down tunes at the same time.

iPad Pre-Orders Set to Begin at 5:30 AM March 12th

Last week we mentioned about the release date of Apple iPad, now from today at 5:30 AM PAcific Time you can pre order your Apple iPad. Customers will be able to pre-order directly from the online Apple store, or set up a reservation to pick one up in an Apple retail store. Remember, the WiFi-only device won’t ship until April 3, and the 3G version will come sometime later that month. No release date has been announced for other countries.

Sony unveils PlayStation Move Controller

Sony has unveiled a motion controller for the PlayStation 3, the company’s highly anticipated motion control system that translates your real world movements into video game moves. Move, which will be available this fall in a starter kit that begins at under $100 for a Move, a PlayStation eye camera and a game, is its attempt to jump ahead of Microsoft’s Natal and to begin winning over Wii users. At GDC Sony demonstrated a game called Move Party, by Supermassive Games, which aside from a superficial similarity to the Wii Sports title bundled with the Wii, made use of the EyeToy camera to capture the player and drop them into a virtual in-game environment.

Sony says that more than 20 titles for the Move will be ready for release when the entire system goes on sale sometime this fall. In addition to internal game design studios, Sony has 36 third-party developers signed up to create games for the PlayStation Move

Access Google Docs from Microsoft Outlook with Harmony

Harmony for Google Docs – is a free sidebar for Microsoft Outlook that eliminates the need to use e-mail attachments. Currently in free beta, this sidebar lets you share, e-mail, download, upload, and edit your Google Docs right from your desktop using Outlook 2007. Harmony for Google Docs features drag-and-drop functionality to send documents via e-mail, upload a new file to Google Docs, or just view a Google Doc right in Outlook.

To send a Google Doc via e-mail, you choose the file from the Harmony sidebar and drag it into your message window. Harmony creates a link to the Google Doc online instead of attaching it to the e-mail.

Just like in Google Docs, Harmony allows you to filter your documents by type. At the bottom of the sidebar window are filtering options that let you see all your documents or only text documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, presentations, or folders.
