There is no death for smartphones these days. If you go to the market looking out for a smartphone for yourself, there is no surprise that you will find a range of line ups in front of you. And if you want the latest then you need to wait…the US customs has put a hold on two of the much awaited and noteworthy devices, HTC One X and Evo 4G LTE.

The reason that they have been held up in the customs by the US officials are making an inquiry on the infringement case of Apple’s technology by these phones states a news report, while other sources have confirmed that some of the shipments have been held from reaching within the country. This has put back the sales in AT & T stores who are already out of stock of One X.

The story behind this commotion goes back to last December when Apple won a wide ranging exclusion order banning the importation of HTC phones by the International Trade Commission, stating that the Android’s from HTC infringes the Apple’s patented apps – messaging app and browser. Before HTC could do something about it, the patent claims went into effect on April 19th. HTC did answer back stating that this was only a small issue of data tapping and small UI experience, which could be set alright, and therefore the customs are reviewing the case again now.

What is more interesting about this case is that the infringement took place even before HTC One X made its debut in the Mobile World Congress, but sadly however, it falls under the infringement category phones under the ‘647 patent’ act, and therefore could not make into the big US market. HTC is trying all its best moves to get the phones approved for sales leaving us to wonder who is going to win the game.

The CESG, National Authority for Information Assurance in UK has raised the green flag for governmental use of Blackberry (R) 7 OS states a report from RIM. This approval is for good that now even the public sector workers could make use of the RIM technology and enjoy the enhanced performance and modern functions of a smartphone. What’s more could be better for RIM is that their Blackberry will be the only mobile phone that will be the approved material for classification under the section “restricted”. This means that the phone is going to be put into use for pure official purpose.

Speaking to the press, Blackberry UK MD, Stephen Bates said that he is more than pleased at the move made by CESG for giving access to their employers to enjoy the latest suites of BB phones. Some of the other governmental sectors where BB will be put into use will include Ministry of Defence, Central Government office and more than half of the police forces. NHS and local government services are currently deploying BB phones for gaining instant access to patient records, the information on the Police National computer and other services as required.

The range of BB phones that are covered by CESG approval will include BB (R) Bold (TM) 9900, BB Bold 9790, BB (R) Torch (TM)9810, BB Torch 9860, BB (R) Curve (TM) 9360 and BB Curve 9380. This is not the end for BB but is only a beginning of rendering their service to the public sector.

Spice, India’s favorite indigenous mobile company has finally decided to launch what they call a “secure Android” mobile phone. This phone will be offering pre-embedded security solutions for Mobile internet feature containing smartphones. The company is trying educate and is bringing awareness on mobile internet hacking for the growing population of mobile internet and m-commerce users. This mobile phone promises to protect the data on the smartphones.

Spice has really stirred up about security issues on smartphones. They have statistics to back up their claims, and to prove that this is not a marketing strategy. Spice has pointed out that in this industry there are nearly 600 varieties of mobile phone viruses, while the smartphone users in the world has been estimated to exceed more than 1 billion by the end of 2013. Besides, they have also estimated that out of the 100 mobile phones sold everyday, 26 are smartphones and thus the number of people who are being exposed to mobile phone viirsu threat is on an increasing trend.

Therefore Spice strongly believes in giving priority to mobile phone security for their users. Spice has taken a very bold move equalling to that of PC like real time antivirus protection with the technology for scanning your SD cards every noe and then at your discretion. Some of the other security features will include anti-theft and Vault-privacy lock for selected apps like Photos, videos, sms and call logs.

Spice claims that they are one amongst the fraction of smartphone manufacturers who provide online security to their users. These smartphones will be made available via their 50, 000 retail points and 750+ Spice hotspots.

Apple has now planned for a massive leap forward by posting an upgrade in no gracious occasion. This update has been titled 12A206J build for developers to test and enjoy this all new feature.

What this update does is not very clear though what is very obvious are the technical glitches like Fast User Switching, sharing menus, Notes syncing with iTunes and Java applets, which is not actually the end all. There is still another hurdle to cross before Mountain Lion comes into fully fledged OS. This OS has to be tweaked to be compatible to run on mid-2007 MacBook Pros, which requires another update.

This means that Apple is sure to meticulously plan for another update and fix this problem before the WWDC that is planned for next month. Meanwhile there is full lenghth of summer for Apple to complete the rest of the tweaks before they get Mountain Lion to have a full go.

Well the talk of the town amongst the xda developers in the Motorola world is all about the multitasking tweak in One X which is absent in the currently circulating Ice Cream Sandwich phones. But this is not all about user interface tweaks, there’s more to it. Some of the other attracting features in Sense 4 is the horizontal card-like arrangement against the vertical Android 4.0’s default arrangement, which actually reflects on the memory and task management. But for Android users there’s some good news to boast about.. the background applications do not get terminated unlike One X.

Why not let us hear from the horse’s mouth about what’s happening? HTC claimed that they are aware about the questions in the minds of their enthusiastic and dedicated customers. What HTC feels about multitasking and memory management of the background apps in HTC Sense One X is absolutely normal and works perfectly as is confirmed by their committed HTC commmunity. Besides, the custom memory management specifications reaffirms that everything is alright with HTC Sense One X and one can get a perfect HTC Sense experience.

And did you know? What many of the HTC Sense One X users on AT & T found about the phone is that it has a superb battery life. And, above all the phone has been rooted which allows the users to custom ROM.

This has been more of only a wait until now when it came to the fact of finding Motorola Droid 4 with Android Ice Cream Sandwich than getting to fiddle with the phone in hand. But Motorola has finally decided not to keep us waiting long. News leaks state that Motorola is seriously working on making earnest progress on Motoblur being incorporated with the flavor of ICS. News leaks confirms that this version has been tested on the stocks in hand last night.

What do the tester got to say? The phone gets full functionality of the version Android 4.0.4 but this upgrade comes with a dent that the phone is locked up with this version for once and all, and you will never be able to upgrade your phone thereafter.

But Motorola is still only on the initial stages of this project and they have a long way to go before they get it all set ready for release into the market for sale. This being the case, the only thing that the DROID lovers need to have is “patience”. But how long? Only Motorola knows!

Furthermore, the benchmark confirms the following information about this phone: 720p HD display, that is a display resolution of 1280 X 720 and Android 4.0.4 Icecream Sandwich and both being flaunted on Verizon Network.

Besides these info, the app also discloses interesting information about the phone, which includes the replacement of Qualcomm’s dual core and LTE friendly Snapdragon’s S4 processor instead of the regular Samsung’s quad-core Exynos processor, with 1.5 GHz capacity. But with all these information this is only a speculation that this phone might be the much awaited Samsung Galaxy S III mobile phone.

However, what is known about this model is that this will hit the market via numerous carriers throughout North America simultaneously and this probably will happen in June. Thanks to DROID-Life and BGR for the elaborate and interesting report!

One may start enjoying the additional features with no requirement for help of any kind.

Mobile phones that are being planned for these up dates will include Galaxy S Blaze 4G, Galaxy S II, Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. But you have to hold up your excitement for a while, because what is not known until to date is that there is clue from Samsung or T-Mobile about the release dates for up gradation. So keep your fingers crossed as the update may occur anytime unexpectedly!

Following this Business Insider reaffirmed that the chances of a 7″ iPad to line up in the Apple series is very high, besides which they also stated that the wait will not be too long until fall.

This iPad miniature is expected to meet the demands of both the education sector and the gaming arena. But why a Mini iPad? Barclays has an answer for this too.

Studying the strategy of Apple CEO Tim Cook, the tactic behind the plan to launch a mini iPad is to reduce the cost of iPad, which will be very much welcomed by a very large group of Apple users for whom iPad has been a dream come true. This in turn is sure to boost the sales of iPad enabling the arrow on the sales graph for iPad to go up like that of PC market before the end of the year 2015.

More news about mini iPad is that this might turn out to be a hefty competitor to Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Barnes and Noble’s Nook tablet and the price will fall within the range of $249 to $299. And for the launch, this is expected to be somewhere between July and September 2012.
