Irakli & Yac start their I/Y label with three excellent, deep, raw and at the times beautifully industrial and melancholic Techno tracks that got it in them. What a feeling. Do not miss!

Just the first few seconds from 0000.015, the track on A1, grabbed my curiosity. Dark and dreamy soundscapes combined with heavy and strong rhythms. Absolute must hear.

Mørbeck - Teens On Fire

Mørbeck, member of my beloved Vault Series crew, delivers four solid tracks on the Teens On Fire EP, being the first release on his new label Code Is Law.

Code Is Law promises to "offer a platform for Mørbeck and other artists to develop and release creative electronic music. The focus of the label is based on the unique and stand alone nature of the tracks. The music genre is not important, rather it is the raw and deep theme of the tracks that are paramount." Well then, let's see where this is going to in 2013.

Rough Techno tracks, intelligently crafted, merging the usual suspects Industrial, Electro and groovy House to heavily dancefloor oriented soundscapes. My favorite here is Teens On Fire. Altogether nothing outstanding but still solid and very enjoyable.

Attention. This is not for commercial ears. The groove and vibe here hit me so deep with overwhelming happiness and lightness. Could not bare not to write about this any longer.

Heard the track many times and only recently discovered the video to it (watch it, fully worth it and super cute) by the infamous duo Kevin Paschold & Sebastian Kökow from The29thNov Films. Even though the EP was released some month ago I still felt more people should be introduced to this.

Before I try to dive into long and complicated formulations of emotions and sensations while listening to it I will just ask you not to miss Die Pferden and while you are at it make sure to check out the upcoming album Offseason Traveller out 4th March on double 12", CD and Digital.

Find more info on the Album here and now if you have not already done so do hit that little pink play button above and listen carefully. 7 minutes and 19 seconds in your life well spent without having to have a bad conscience afterwards ;) You can pre-order Offseason Traveller on Whatpeopleplay as well already.

After you have listened to Die Pferden, which is still available on the very solid Silver & Black EP (Vinyl Only -> check out the images of Ralph hand-stamping the release), have a listen to the two other tracks on the EP, Chevere and Flipside Of Time.

Must say, Flipside Of Time is growing on me slowly but surly, the energetic and pumping Chevere I find an exercise or excursion into Bass but not too much to my licking, though I can very well imagine this in an more tenser part of a set. See what you make of it.

Altogether a very versatile and well rounded EP to my ears. By all means this is just my personal impression, but looking at the comments the EP got on SoundCloud I might not be too off this time round.

Go write to Ralph (info@alephmusic.net) if you like and see if you can still have a copy of the Silver & Black EP. If you ask nicely he might still sell you one and perhaps even add a little bit of a surprise to the package. Worked for me. Super happy with my copy.

Steve Jobs 1955 - 2011

The death of Steve Jobs really hit me harder than I had expected. That man has changed the world and will be greatly missed. I am neither an Apple fan-boy nor have I had a good look at any of the OS from inside, nor have I used his products much or at all.

What makes me miss this man is that with his ideas and ideals, tremendous passion and unforgiving perseverance he reached out to all of us in a positive and profound way. A genius inventor has left this world and what he leaves behind cannot be put in words.

My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

Steve, thank you for everything that you have done for this world.

Samurai.FM hosts all the audio files in the m4a file format and streams them through the RTMP protocol. To find the rtmp stream URL you need an advanced network sniffer. To download the m4a audio file hosted at such a rtmp stream URL you need a downloaded tool that supports the rtmp protocol. Both these functions are combined in one great program already, CooJah 6.
