Previously, I posted about how you can make Infinity Symbol(∞) on any text editors on your PC or Mac. So, If you wants to put infinity symbol on your Facebook status update or wants to use it inside chat you can use the same trick I posted earlier. It works fine on facebook.

If it doesn't work and you are still not able to post (∞) infinity symbol on facebook. Then, I find one better tool which quite useful, called i2Symbols. It contains lots of symbols and emoticons. It also contains the infinity symbols under the Math-I tab. You can able to share your symbols with just one click to facebook and Twitter. There are few sharing option available, you can directly able to share or copy paste it or use it as an image. i2Symbols also available as Google-Chrome Extension & Firefox add-on for the faster access.

It's natural to want the longest possible battery life from your laptop. If you have a morden thin and light model in which the battery is integrated into the body and can't be replaced, you'll want to maximise its lifespan, too, since replacing it means sending it away and probably facing a hefty bill.

The best way to do this is to avoid completely emptying the battery between charges so in all cases what's really wanted is a way to make a charge last as long as possible.

The Power Options in the Windows Control Panel (called Energy Saver in OS X) let you control various settings, such as how long the computer should sit idle before automatically dimming its screen, spinning down its hard disks, going to sleep and so forth. Such measures are helpful if you're using the computer sporadically, but do nothing to prolong battery life for a PC in constant use.

Happily, there are several things you can do to increase the battery life of a PC while you're using it. The most obvious one is to keep the screen at a lower brightness level. This is a great way to save power, as the LCD panel is one of the most energy-hungry components in a laptop, yet it doesn't affect the practical performance of your computer at all.

Many laptops progressively dim the screen automatically as the battery depletes, so as to eke out the remaining charge. You can get a greater benefit by dialling back the brightness of your screen full-time, perhaps turning it up only when bright ambient light makes things hard to read. The effect will vary from system to system, depending on the particulars of the hardware. On Asus N55SF laptop, found that the whole system consumed 20W when sitting idle with the screen at full brightness, but only 15W at its dimmest.

Another power-hungry component is the processor. When under heavy load, the CPU is by far the most demanding part of the system - this is when it may approach its maximum Thermal Design Power (TDP) rating. Stress-testing : taxing each of its four cores with 100% load: power draw rocketed from an idle rating of 20W to a steep 75W. Expected life under this type of load would be a mere 45 minutes.

Clearly, it's best to avoid running heavy number-crunching processes on battery power. You may even choose to throttle the maximum CPU speed in Windows' Power Options and it's worth having an audit of your startup items to disable any unneeded programs that run in the background and keep your CPU churning needlessly.

If your laptop has switchable graphics, you can save power by ensuring the discrete GPU is disabled and steering clear of 3D applications, as these devour power at a great rate. You can cut a few additional watts by disabling unneeded wireless features such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; disconnecting USB peripherals that draw power from your PC; ejecting discs from optical drives, which may otherwise periodically spin up; and even turning off unnecessary lights such as keyboard backlights. We can't promise any of these measures will give you more than a few minutes of extra battery life, but at least you'll know you're not wasting power.

Finally, if you need to use your laptop intermittently, consider setting the default sleep mode to hibernate instead of sleep. This switches off the computer completely, so it will take a bit longer to resume, but the battery won't be depleted while you're not using it.

Google Chrome is one of the best browsers in the market. For some months, it have been the number one browser in terms of use, having overtaken Mozilla Firefox and giving a superb competition to Internet Explorer.

How to find the Largest Files on Your Computer?

Do you know how to find the largest file on your computer? There are a couple of ways to do this. In Windows 7, the new search functions allow you to find files of a particular size and then sort them.

Use Windows Explorer

To find the largest files on your computer using Explorer, open Computer and click up in the search box. When you click inside of it, a little window pops up below with a list of your recent searches and then a add search filter option.

Go ahead and click on Size and then you’ll get another menu with a couple of options:

Go ahead and pick something like Large, Huge or Gigantic otherwise you will get a list of way too many files. If you just want to see larger files, I suggest choosing huge or gigantic. Then just press enter without typing in anything else.

You’ll start getting a list, but it’s not sorted yet as you can see above. To sort it by size, you have to click on the little options button:

From there, you can to select Details view. Then you will see the size column and be able to sort by size.

Here’s the final list of files on my computer sorted by size. This is the easies way since it’s built right into Windows and you don’t have to install anything. It also has enough options so I can see just the largest files on the computer.

If you’re not running Windows 7, then you can use a third-party program. One such program which I know is TreeSize.

Once you install it, go ahead and run it and you’ll see a window like this:

The program will automatically start to scan the C drive and you’ll see in realtime as the sizes of the directories are calculated. Once it has finished, the blue progress bar will disappear and you’ll be able to see the largest folder by size.

You can then expand out the folders and see the largest files in each folder. With this program, it’s still not possible to instantly see the largest files on the entire computer, just the largest by folder. Still it’s a really useful app and it’s not hard to find the largest files quickly because those tend to be the largest folders also.

Facebook admits 9% (83 Million) of users are fakes!

As many as 83.09 million Facebook accounts could be false, the social networking giant has revealed.

After publishing its first quarterly earnings report as a public company, Facebook revealed it had a whopping 955 million monthly users, 543 million of whom logged on via their smartphone or tablet devices.

However, it’s emerged that 8.7 per cent of these users could be fake accounts. In March, Facebook put the number of false Facebook accounts at between 5 and 6 per cent, or between 42.25 and 50.70 million.

Yet rather than that number being on the increase, Facebook appears to have broadened the boundaries of what it deems a false account, now including “user-misclassified” (2.4 per cent) and “undesirable” (1.5 per cent) profiles.

User-misclassified accounts refer to Facebook profiles that have been created for businesses, organisations or even pets, while undesirable accounts refer to any that violate Facebook’s terms and conditions.

While it’s not usually difficult to spot a fake Facebook profile, these latest figures should make us more stringent as to who we befriend on social networking sites.

After login, we were greeted with a super clean layout, responsive menu, fading buttons, a beautiful four column layout, social media interactions… And it was a pleasure at first sight. A simple drop-down menu for settings can change your theme colours in a click. The e-mail reading panel can be shifted to the side or at the bottom just like Microsoft Outlook software. I particularly like the smooth layout and the superfast speed at which you can browse and navigate across the panels and adjust your settings to customise your email experience.

If you decide to compose a new email, you are presented with a beautiful compose mail screen. The contacts from the left side, and you can compose your e-mail in a clean interface on the right side, free from boxes and lines.

You can easily configure the settings to import your email messages from other popular email services like Gmail. It will easily integrate messages from your social media network like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and provide an excellent source to monitor your entire online network in one place, while monitoring your e-mail as well.

In this quick review, I really like what I see right now – if I have to create a new e-mail account, I am really tempted to grab a new @outlook.com email address. It’s a good time to grab your name right now as it seems millions of people have already registered and blocked their e-mail accounts.

Intel creates an interactive musical app for Facebook users

Intel has just launched a fun app for Facebook users called ‘Me The Musical’.

The new app takes users on an entertaining journey through iconic world events and some memorable events of their life

‘Me the Musical’ begins with the user’s date of birth, and then showcases a series of musical scenes, drawing on some of the important events of the world such as landing on moon, creation of the world wide web, and the launch of Facebook . The app adds a personal touch to the video by including friends from Facebook and details of significant events in the life of the user.

Google unveils world’s fastest net connection

Internet giant Google has unveiled what it says is the world's fastest internet connection through its ultrahigh-speed service, offering lightning-fast access of one gigabit per second.

The service which uses optical fibre to deliver speeds far in excess of traditional web services, offering speeds faster than almost anywhere else on Earth.

The web search leader unveiled its ultra-high speed Google Fiber service in Kansas City, Missouri, and it hopes to roll out the service to other cities later, the Daily Mail reported.

"Access is the next frontier that needs to be opened, we're going to do it profitably. That is our plan," Google chief financial officer Patrick Pichette said. "We are at a crossroad," he added, noting that internet speeds had leveled out for broadband since around 2000. We at Google believe there is no need to wait," he said.

Google Fiber's ultra highspeed connections and television offerings are aimed at surpassing those of current providers, allowing users to search live channels, Netflix, YouTube, recorded shows and tens of thousands of hours of on-demand programming . However, no phone service is available.

Google said it also intends to roll out product packages for businesses, but would not provide details.
Google Fiber includes more than 100 networks and costs $120 a month for a package of TV, 1 gigabit per second Internet speeds and 1 terabyte of cloud storage.

Beware! Google’s eye in sky may catch you pants down

US tech giants Google and Apple are in the race to come up with aerial maps so detailed and precise that they can practically catch you with your pants down, even in your own backyard.

Google says it has already sent planes over cities while Apple has acquired a firm using spy-in-the-sky technology that has been already tested on at least 20 locations, including London.

Apple’s cameras are understood to be so powerful they could potentially see into homes through skylights and windows. The technology is similar to that used by intelligence agencies in identifying terrorist targets in Afghanistan, the Daily Mail reports.

Google will use its spy planes to help create 3D maps with much more detail than its satellite-derived Google Earth images. Nick Pickles, director of Big Brother Watch, warned that privacy risked being sacrificed in a commercial ‘race to the bottom’.

“The next generation of maps is taking us over the garden fence,” he warned. “You won’t be able to sunbathe in your garden without worrying about an Apple or Google plane buzzing overhead, taking pictures.”

He said householders should be asked for their consent before images of their homes go online. Apple is expected to unveil its new mapping applications for its iPhone and other devices Monday – along with privacy safeguards. Its 3D maps will reportedly show for the first time the sides of tall buildings, such as the Big Ben clock tower.

Google expects by the end of the year to have 3D coverage of towns and cities with a combined population of 300 million. It has not revealed any locations so far.

Current 3D mapping technology relies on aerial images taken at a much lower resolution than the technology Apple is thought to be using. This means that when users ‘zoom in’, details tend to be lost because of the poor image quality.

Google ran into trouble when it emerged that its Street View cars, which gathered ground-level panoramic photographs for Google Maps, had also harvested personal data from household wifi networks.

Apple’s spy planes are believed to be equipped with technology developed by the military to guide missile strikes. Each plane is equipped with multiple cameras taking high-resolution photographs of buildings and landmarks from every possible angle, which are then compiled to make three-dimensional images.

The military-grade images are taken at a height of around 1,600 ft, meaning people below are very unlikely to realise they are being photographed. The cameras can be installed on planes, helicopters or even unmanned drones, although there are safety restrictions about the use of the latter in Britain.

Nokia adds to Asha Touch 305, 306 and 311 to phone range

Nokia has announced three budget mobile phones in the form of the Asha Touch 305, 306, and 311.

The trio of phones offer a 'smartphone-like' experience via Nokia's S40 Asha operating system. They will be available for less than €100 starting in the second quarter with the Asha 305.

Mary T. McDowell, executive vice president of mobile phones at Nokia said: "By introducing the Asha Touch phones to the market, we're accelerating our commitment to connect the next billion consumers,"

"These phones deliver on what young, urban people value most -- a great-looking device; and an intuitive and affordable experience for connecting to the internet, to their friends, and to a world of entertainment, web apps and content." she added.

The Asha 311 features 3.5G connectivity, a 3in touchscreen and a 1GHz processor. It will sell for €92 while the Asha 305 and Asha 306 will sell for €63 and €68, respectively.

Nokia touts a reduction of 90 percent on data consumption via its Nokia Browser 2.0 and its cloud technology. The three phones will also come with a choice of 40 EA games including Tetris, Bejeweled and Need for Speed: The Run.

Apple Mac OS X Mountain Lion to launch in July

Apple's upgrade to its Mac computer operating system will be available to buy from July, the company has revealed. OS X Mountain Lion will be the ninth release of the software and feature more than 200 new features.

Several of these new talents were announced by Apple at its WWDC 2012 event in San Francisco today, including Game Center support with cross-platform multiplayer gaming. This will allow certain players to compete against each other on iPhone, iPad or Mac. Scores and accounts will be interchangeable, too.

AirPlay Mirroring is also coming to OS X Mountain Lion. You will be able to stream up to 1080p video of what is on your screen to an Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible AV receivers.

Safari has had an overhaul too, and there was a new feature announced: Power Nap. This allows the new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air notebooks from second-generation and up to download updates, back themselves up or interact with several key applications, such as email, while the computer is in standby mode.

As with iOS 6, which was also announced, there will be Facebook integration throughout.

OS X Mountain Lion will be available as an upgrade in the Mac App Store from July for $19.99.
