Hey Remember Symbolics.com ? Yes, the first Registered Domain. Symbolics.com is celebrating its 25 anniversary Today, the 15th March 2010. On 15th March 1985, the first recorded Domain was registered. Symbolics.com is owned by XF.com Investments.

Another thing is that .Com has influenced our lives ever since its birth. I think in the future, Computers and .Com will dominate the lives of humans. In the future, Children might be Pro bloggers while Babies might be the newbies.

~~Absolutely Yes~~. No,It is an optional thing, but Guest Blogging does help.Guest blogging helps in building relationships - relationships between Bloggers and Visitors. Guest Blogging also earns you some traffic. How ? The Guest Author will probably mention about the Guest Post in his blog (If he has one). He may also tweet the link to the post.

Guest Blogging is Like Mutual Fund

Both (Authors and Blogger Owners) earns a reward (And a link back to each other). Even though Guest Blogging can be hard, you will have to try it. You will have to Deal with the Obstacle rather than avoiding it. In this case fear is depicted as obstacle.

Write Awesome/ Worthy Content

Is Commenting Useful ?

Certainly. Comments are like the "blood" of a Blog. Comments - Discussions keep the Blog Alive. Moreover Quality comments can earn you traffic. If a Blog is Comment luv-enabled or Dofollow, then surely you should comment (if you find the content useful). DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES COMMENT ON BLOGS THAT COPY CONTENT. Why ? By commenting on these blogs , you are encouraging the author to copy content again and again.

Watch Out For Spammers

The worst night mare of a blogger ? An approved Spam comment. Bloggers, I would strongly suggest you to disable Guest Commenting (Unless you are using Spam fighters - such as Aksimet ) Be sure to add Moderate Function enabled. A spammers is enough to kill your blog.

Just Remember the Big 5's Of Commenting

Scan

First Scan The Content. Scanning helps you in deciding - deciding whether the content is worthy enough to be read.

If you find the content useful (by scanning), Read it, Read it....Read

After reading it, think whether the content makes sense. Think about the main points aroused by the author.

The next step is to comment. Do not comment as a Guest. Take full advantage of comments. Remember the fact that comments can earn you some traffic.

We've heard your feedback loud and clear, and since we launched Google Buzz four days ago, we've been working around the clock to address the concerns you've raised. Today, we wanted to let you know about a number of changes we'll be making over the next few days based on all the feedback we've received.

Auto- suggest Instead of Auto-follow

Many People have been upset over auto-following in Google Buzz. Not, anymore, due to user feedback option, auto-follow has now evolved to become Auto-Suggest. Now Google will just suggest people for you to follow, whether to follow them or not is your choice (Good move.. Google :) )

Buzz Now Longer Supports Connection with Picasa Web Albums and Google Reader

Buzz only automatically connected content that was already public, so if you had previously shared photos in an "Unlisted" album or set your Google Reader shared items as "Protected," no one except the people you'd explicitly allowed to see your stuff has been able to see it. But due to your feedback Buzz will no longer connect these sites automatically.

Buzz Tab to Gmail or Google Mail

Google will be adding Buzz tab to Gmail.Users can now hide buzz from Gmail or disable it completely.

Choose Whether to display your followers/people you follow (in Buzz) on your Public Profile

What Is Google Buzz ?

Google Buzz is a new way to start conversations about the things you find interesting. It's built right into Gmail, so you don't have to peck out an entirely new set of friends from scratch — it just works. If you think about it, there's always been a big social network underlying Gmail. Buzz brings this network to the surface by automatically setting you up to follow the people you email and chat with the most. We focused on building an easy-to-use sharing experience that richly integrates photos, videos and links, and makes it easy to share publicly or privately (so you don't have to use different tools to share with different audiences). Plus, Buzz integrates tightly with your existing Gmail inbox, so you're sure to see the stuff that matters most as it happens in real time.

Buzz lets you share updates, photos, links, and pretty much anything else you'd like with your Gmail contacts; it's an easy way to follow your friends, too. When you click Buzz in your Gmail account, you'll see the stream of posts from people you're following, and a box for you to post your updates. Here's a run-down of the basic functions:

Post some buzz: Click in the text box next to your name, and share what's on your mind.

Comment: if you see something in your stream you'd like to comment on, just click the Comment link under that post. Your comment will appear alongside it, and the author of the post will be notified.

Like/unlike: If you don't have something in particular you want to say, but you just happen to like someone's post, you can click Like. Have you ever been WWB ? I have, many times. Blogger usually wonder that a lot. Here are some tips and tricks related to Wondering What to Blog ?

Let's Start, I am wondering where to start...(Ha..ha..)

Time Management In Thinking

Schedule your time wisely. Use your "slacking off" time. For example, if you are tired and just sitting in the sofa, think about what to Blog ? Its always helps in building a schedule. In my case, I use the time to move from one class to another for thinking. If you are not sure that you will remember an Idea that came to your mind, write a reminder (In your mobile, using a sticky note etc.)

Check the Blogging Forums

Its always a good idea to check the blogging communities and forums. Be sure that check whether the blog forum is spam or not. One perfect example of "good" Blogging Community is Blog Engage. Bloggers @ Blog Engage post their articles for other bloggers opinion or reaction towards the article. If the Blogger find the article useful, he might vote it up. Bloggers can also vote down if they think that the content is copied. Bloggers may also choose to be "neutral" by not voting the article. You might get an article idea when you look through forums. Be sure to check the posts (in forums) mentioning tutorials etc.

Tip From Me

Most of the silly things like adding Meebo bat to your site or promote you site using Facebook will be more successful than you think. The thing is we usually overestimate the number of users who know who to perform this task (Which might not be true most of the time)

Check Your Site Analytics

Its always a good thing to check your site statistics. Try to check your statistics (at least) once a month. Look for key words, look for what the users are searching for, look @ the referring domains (If a forum is included , try to become more active), Look who is linking to you. All these stuff matters, especially the keywords. Look @ the Key words and Build a post. For Example if one of the keywords is "Twitter Blogging" then write something about Twitter and Blogging. I would write like Use Twitter to Promote your site".

Using Twitter to Blog...New !!!

Yes. Use your Twitter account to get Ideas on what to blog. Login in to twitter >> Check the Trends >> Search for keywords like #Blogging or #Technology. Check the Trends. These trends might help you a bit. Follow great bloggers, check their Tweets. The Tweets help too.

Check The Blogs

Check the sites related to your niche. Check the Old and New posts in those Sites. Their posts might help you to your way on finding post Idea.

Check The Comments. Yes Comments help too. Check the comments of other blogs. From their discussion about the topic, you might find something helpful. It always helps too look.

Finally

If you don't have any other Ideas, then Here is an Idea for you

Write Weekly Posts featuring articles from other sites (That are worthy to read)

Don't just Tweet Random stuff, Tweet Quality Tweets. Don't just Tweet your (site-related) tweets, promote other quality content you find on Internet. Don't OverTweet (Oh..Yes, This might be a problem).

ReTweeting

Re-tweeting is good. Don't Just retweet stuff as it is. Try to change the wordings (Optional, to make it more interesting)

Re Tweeting Your Own (Older) Tweets - Reworded Tweets

Don't do it. Its Annoying. Even if you want to do it. Re word it.

Spamming

Don't Spam. Spamming especially in the world of Micro blogging is common. Did you know what more than half of Tweeters are bots (Yes, they are not human...). Many Tweeters think that Auto DM is another way of spamming. I don't think it is a problem to Auto DM, unless you are promoting spam related stuff like free credit report, play games free...etc.

And Always Remember that it is the "Quality" that matters, not Quantity

Don't worry too much on Twitter Follower growth. You will get followers eventually. These tips are just like an arrow sign - It shows you what way to go, It doesn't tell you about how fast you will get to your goal.

Automatic Followers

Do not ever use an automatic follower features provided by websites like Twiends. It may gain you some followers, but most of these websites are follower exchange program-based. So what ? The problem is that you may follow someone you have not intended to (Remember that most of Twitter Users are Bots). These bots may be a serious problem when your follower (Actual one, not through automatic) follows them.

So What to Do ?

Be patient. Wait for it. You will get followers naturally. Patience is a virtue.

Oh, Not another "Content is the King" post. This post is not all about Content is the King. It is trying to convey another message(With the importance to content) to you( as a blogger). Want to know ? Read on...

Blogging Unique Content is a Life-and- Death situation for bloggers. Why ? Because Content is still the "King"- The King of Blogosphere. As the world is going through an economic crisis, so do the Blogosphere. Now is the best chance to catch up with those "pro-bloggers". And the only way you can do it is by writing Unique content. By Unique Content, I don't mean word-by-word. You will have to come up with your own Ideas.

Its Innovation, not Imitation

Two traits of a successful Blogger - Unique Content and Effective Promotion. Spice it up your way - Innovation rather than copying others - Imitation.

"Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower” - Steve Jobs

Which one would you go for ? Easy or Hard - The consequences of the easy way are harder than achieving through the hard way. I would go for Hard Way. The Easy way (Imitation) may offer you immediate reward, but will only last little time.

Innovation - The Art of Making things up - Your Ideas are more fabulous than you think.

It doesn't matter if your blog is big or small - If you have innovation and bit more Ideas on promoting your blog, then you are good to go. When deciding what to blog for lunch, use your innovation, let it take over you. It's O.K to lookup for a topic, but the content should be yours.

Imitation - May of today's world applications are imitations. For example : Boots - Many Shoemakers make shoes based on fashion magazines. They didn't really have Innovation. They are imitation. Sorry no offense against Shoemaker (If you are one....) : )

There are many pro, upcoming Bloggers who copy Ideas from "newbie-bloggers". The pro/upcoming blogger may have 1000+ readers, and that's where he has advantage. Due to lack to notice many great newbie-bloggers are ignored and as I said before "There Ideas are stolen". And the reason why there are stolen : Due to lack of Knowledge, Knowledge about Promoting and Promotion. The art of promotion and art of blogging are like A Boat and a Paddle.

One may successfully built a boat (blog) but without the paddle(promotion) he may not control the boat I.e the boat may move according to the wind.

Successful promotion Includes Guest Blogging, Advertising etc. He/she may re innovate the boat to be larger (As Blog with growing popularity)(to Satisfy the customers, as in Readers) by successful promotion. The Unique Content is like the "food" served in the Boat (In this case, a Larger Boat with Larger Capabilities). If the Customer (Reader) likes it (Based on Quality), He/She may subscribe to the Blog (Reserve Tickets for future/ Regular Customer).

The Boat Owner can promote his blog through Advertising (Bill boards etc.), so can the Blog Owner, he/she can advertise in other popular blogs. If you don't have enough money to pay for Advertising, Use Entrecard.

Entrecard allows you to advertise in blogs - In Entrecard Slot. You can Advertise in different sites using Credits you have earned ( I am not so sure How it is earned, If you know it, please let me know by commenting). Is your Blog - Under Maintenance ?

It has been a long time since I have participated in Blog Engage Weekly world Challenge. I

used to do it at first, but due to exams and all other kind of stuff, I couldn't continue with the

challenge. Anyway, I decided to take on this week's world challenge. This Week we have two

Weekly Words- Blog Maintenance and Blogging Tips. In this post, I am writing about Blog

Maintenance.

Let's Begin..

Is your Blog Under Maintenance ? If no, Think Again..Still don't get it, Read On...

What is Blog Maintenance ?

Do you maintain your Blog ? I do and so does most of you. All Bloggers maintain their blog by

posting articles, approving commenting, replying to comments, checking blog-related

statuses..etc.

Is Maintaining your blog a "big thing" ? Yes it is, If you want to be a pro blogger, then you will

have to maintain your blog.

How Can I Maintain My Blog ?

It depends. You will have to maintain your Theme or Template. You will have to write on

your blog consistently. Many bloggers are not happy with their theme or template (Like me),

so they just change their template or theme again and again. One thing we will have to

remember is that even If we or you don't like the theme/Template, Our/Your readers might.

I agree to the fact that (you will have to/you can ) change your theme/template like once a year or so.

So Is your Blog Under Maintenance ?

Do you Like My New Template ?

Most of your readers will probably like it. So don't Change your Template now and Then. Eve

if you want change your Template, ask your readers first.

Tips to Follow When you are undergoing a major maintenance

Let your Reader know about it
Connect with your readers via other sources
Adding a subdomain - blog.yourdomain.com would be good Idea. You could post articles via the blog and later transfer them to the original blog or post an article with links to the blogged articles. This way you can preserve your blogging consistency
Try to finish the maintenance as fast as possible. You don't want to lose your readers.
