The trainees under the Web Development Team are trained to develop websites through Content Management System using Wordpress. 

Those in the Networking Team are taught Metro Wifi deployment.  It aims to deploy another Wifi zone along CPG Avenue from Holy Spirit School to St. Joseph’s Cathedral. This Wifi zone can be acessed in the coming future by using rSPOT cards available at Auza.net Internet Media Center along K of C Drive. 

All trainees are exposed to open source technologies especially the Linux operating system, Wordpress content management system, MySQL, PHP and web design. They will also be taught practical skills in information technology, technical sales/marketing and technical support.

Their project is also one of the projects of auza.net to be deployed sometime this year. They are working on this IP Based Telephony wherein they have to configure the programs of the software to integrate some devices such as a personal computer , an IP phone, and a softphone to be able to function as a normal telephone. They are working in sleepless nights just to meet the deadline. They will present there project this second week of February.

It will be followed with a presentation from the staffs of auza.net and the OJT’s.

Then an inspirational message will be given by our manager Engr. Jerome Auza.

It will be followed by presentations again and the most important part of the programme is lunch..hehehe. A part of the activity is giving of special awards ” Best Performance” and “Star of the Day”. Then the rest will be karaoke singing and dancing.

The master of ceremony during the activity will be Macky and Fides..

Some OJTs will also be assigned to the Gallares branch as well as regular employees to handle the daily operations of the office. As its name suggests, the training center will also provide trainings and tutorials to those who are interested.

Now, i really realized that its really nice to be exposed…hehe

Well, I am glad that DYRD FM is now running, though there is still a need to develop on the website. Together with Tej and Dalareich, we put relevant contents to ensure that the website is really the Bohol’s premier entertainment website. I am just happy, knowing that I am one of those chosen people who had contributed to the success of RD FM website.

And on the other hand, Sir Jerome wants me to help on the rSPOT admin program. As what I have understood, I am to program an admin interface where the administrator can see the active clients who are subscribing the rspot, as well as the users who are using the Rspot internet. Clients can only see the users who are under their called station id. And user can only see the log report.

I studied the AJAX technique and JAVASCRIPT which in my part is a newbie to the language as preparatory of the making. I somehow got the basic point of the languages. And I need to dig deeper on it, especially on the PHP side. Sir Jerome introduced to me the popular AJAX Library which is the EXTJs. And I need more time to devour it. And what else? I also need to study on writing a wordpress plugin.

This is really a challenge to me… And knowing my capabilities, I can really say that I can’t do this. Yes. But I think I need to believe that I can. Yes, I can. I am gonna do this not just for Auza.Net but also for God’s glory!
